The Brazilian Hertz affiliate Localiza, could not find the Hertz reservation in their computer system. After much discussion and time and examining the email from kayak/hertz... They wrote up a rental contract for me with the same price that kayak and Hertz quoted ... So picking up the car took almost ONE HOUR.

DEAR KAYAK, THIS HERTZ LOCATION DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE AND THE ADDRESS IS NOW A FAVELA. I HAD HERTZ ON THE PHONE THAT COULD NOT HELP ME. I HAD TO BOOK ANOTHER CAR IN ANOTHER LOCATION, 2X THE ORIGINAL PRICE. IT IS SHAMEFUL FROM KAYAK!

Service rendered by ths staff OK however I had a recent experience with no extra fee for dropping-off in a different store than pick-up and HERTZ does charge you for dropping off in a different address in the same city. I think this could be reviewedsee above. + a little more cheap fees, though I understand the high season.

There is no communication between KAYAK and HERTZ / LOCALIZAWhen I arrived at the pick up location they’ve said that they didn’t received such confirmation number from KAYAK and that they don’t work with those kind of car “Standard - Chrysler 200 or similar”. I’ve called to Hertz customer service and they found my confirmation number. However the attendant that was in my front said that she had no car to give to me.. well after a hour they decided to give to me a SUV Duster. I have to say that after all the manage was very polite. They convinced me to book directly with them from the next time.
