Great Building, Mixed Hotel
The hotel is in a spectacular building and OK for sightseeing, although a ten to fifteen minute walk to the cathedral etc.
Like several paradors I have stayed in, this one needs updating inside. The bedroom was large but a bit drab, with dated electrics and very poor internet service.
The location of the hotel was excellent for seeing the city and the building is quite special
The restaurant staff were very unfriendly. We had one lunch in the restaurant which was very enjoyable despite the staff. However, we also had one dinner which was not good at all and despite the fact that I sent back a starter and main course barely touched no-one asked if I had a problem. We did not get even one smile from a waiter thoughout the whole meal. The Parador restaurants are fairly expensive and this was terrible value for money. We would certainly think twice before eating in this hotel again. Would probably only revisit due to location but as our 2 nights proved very expensive in total so would look at other hotels first.

Our room was not in the old building and therefore did not have the same atmosphere. The hotel was very large and therefore a little impersonal.
