10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the most wonderful and relaxing time! We couldn’t recommend this resort enough, excellent facilities, the location is perfect and happy hour goes all afternoon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in Pavie Bungalow in a beautiful, spacious room with deck overlooking pool. Comfortable bed, modern shower, a desk and non slippery floors. Two sinks in bathroom with amenities (toilet in separate room). Clothesline in shower to hang up clothes was a plus. There is also a pool bar with good drinks and service. Truly a gorgeous hotel. It seems a bit spendy for Laos, but oh so nice. A free shuttle will take you into town throughout the day and back in the evening. We only used it at night to go to and from the night market, which is a must do. You can also use the free hotel bikes or get a tuk tuk or rent a scooter for very little money (about 9 USD a day). Easy and fast to get to hotel from airport. Just get a cab. They give you a voucher at the airport. It's about 5 USD.
Cons: Restaurant was not very good, but we only ate there one night and we made the mistake of ordering off the Western menu. Stick to the Laotian cuisine. Its really very good. The breakfast was ok. I thought the coffee was terrible, but I am a bit of a coffee snob. Hotel is on the river and there is a rather long somewhat rickety high bridge you need to walk over (or you can use a scooter - no cars or tuk tuks allowed as its too narrow) to get into town. My spouse, who has a fear of heights had a lot of difficulty with this.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was great. especially staffs are so nice and kind.
Cons: - there were some stairs from robby to room, or restaurant. normally it is not a problem at all, but it could be a little bit tough for the elderly. - location : not very close to downtown. cars or tuktuks cannot go through the bridge infront of the hotel. if you can rent a bike or a motorbike, it would be ok. (otherwise, you can take a shuttle)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is rich and delicious. The location is very good,by the side of the old French bridge,it's very close to the city center.
Cons: garden,restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All facilities were superb... food and drinks . All employees were great from front desk to housekeeping via bar and restaurant. Their attention to detail was exemplary..
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality, location, size of the room and bathroom
Cons: The breakfast lacked variety
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like walking into a different world. The French colonial architecture was stunning and the rooms luxurious. The pool area was in a great location by the river, a place to relax. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I wished that I could have stayed longer. This hotel wasn’t right in the middle of town which was good. The hotel has a shuttle bus that goes into town a few times each day. We walked in during the day which took about 15mins and got a tuk tuk back in the evening which didn’t cost much at all. Sometimes we got them to bring us all the way and sometimes we got dropped off at the French bridge and walked across. A great place to stay in Luang Prabang.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, excellent service, good food; nice resort
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The resort’s room is very clean and the staff are friendly. The bikes are very good with kids seats
Cons: The breakfast did not offer many options. Location is a bit far from the center but it facilities are good, new and in good cónditions. Strongly recommend to stay

Pros: Staff were amazing. Well trained in customer service, pleasant and helpful. Front desk staff fluent in English. They even invited guests to join their staff party. I'm not exactly sure how they did it but they always knew us even with diffferent staff working. You can tell staff get along well and enjoy their jobs. Facilities were great along with beautiful grounds and views of river and local farm life. It was enjoyable stay and great place to relax.
Cons: A little noisy but not fault of guesthouse. More to do with location. Noise seems to be typical of local population.

Pros: Breakfast absolutely superb
Cons: Perhaps closeness to town but not a buggy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love everything about this guesthouse! Literally everything! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse and garden are just splendid! Our room was located in front of the river making pie stay even more memorable. It has everything we needs and even more. The best part is how we have breakfast served at exactly the time we asked for in front of our room every morning during our stay. We will definitely come back!
Cons: Our stay was too short

Pros: Lovely location overlooking the picturesque Nam Khan River. Quiet, secluded thatched-roof bungalows with each with their own private balcony/deck - perfect for early morning coffee and later on - breakfast delivered by staff.

9.6 Excellent
Cons: Peaceful place. Very nice tropical garden and well done bungalow commodities
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I stayed at Thongbay with a friend and Could not have been more satisfied with the guest house. Our bungalow overlooked a beautiful garden and every morning we had a delicious breakfast on the porch. The staff was incredibly helpful and organized transportation throughout Luang Prabang for the whole stay. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a huge plus!
Cons: The location is a bit far from the center of town, but they do have a free shuttle that runs several times during the day. It would have been nice to have had a little more flexibility in terms of our ability to get into the main part of town, but we made it work!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room and the garden, the swimming pool, everything was better than you van imaginaire
Cons: Really nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helful and frinedly. The setting is wonderful and pool facilitilies fantastic after a day exploring Luang Prabang. The property is a 20 minute walk from town, but the regular Thong Bay shuttle makes it very accessible, as do the bikes they have available for use. And if you want to stay out after the last evening shuttle, the accommodation is only a short tuk tuk ride. Breakfast on your deck each morning is a lovely touch.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is beautifully situated and in a lovingly tended garden. Staff very friendly and attentive! The bungalows are grouped around the wonderful garden and some of them face the river. Everything works like a swiss- watch and the prices are reasonable. They have a great cook who prepares tasty meals. The air is good and the atmosphere peaceful. Rooms are big and the bathroom as well.
Cons: The WiFi could be a bit stronger and run beyond 22:00.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the moment we arrived to the last minute there incredibly warm, friendly staff, stunning river views, beautiful gardens, free shuttle to town and airport. 10/10 My favorite place I've stayed anywhere
Cons: Nothing. Only suggestion is allow people to mix and choose breakfast from all options instead of having to choose set option. Saying that the food was always delicious

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very wide choice and tasty buffet. Very polite and helpful personnel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the staff was fantastic. We had an issue with our credit card so we had to find an atm to get cash. The atm near the hotel was empty so we had to go to the city and the hotel staff took us there and found the atm that had enough cash for us. Then we had to rush to the airport which we were already late. The driver ensured us that they would get us there and we did made it to our flight ! The service was just beyond our expectation.
Cons: The wall is pretty thin so you can hear other rooms and outside.

Pros: The architecture, a mix of French colonial, situated in spacious, well designed gardens makes for a nice place to come home to each day. But the staff make the place - nothing is too much trouble. They are attentive, kind, warm people that embody the beautiful Laos culture. They anticipated your needs and already had it solved before you knew you needed something. They were also on hand to welcome you back after a day out. The pool makes a delightful oasis to retreat to. The detailed finishes in the suites are of a high quality. Bedding was lovely and we had a great night sleep every night. I could go on but you get the idea ;)
7.9 Good
Cons: They hide behind booking.com to justify that they overcharge us. Without even trying to help finding a solution. Not very service oriented for a 5 stars property.

Pros: Maison Dalabua was a beautiful hotel to stay at just 5 minutes from the Main Street in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed the pool facilities and our complimentary breakfast next to the serene lotus pond. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. It was the little things at this hotel that made our stay exceptional.
Cons: When organising transport the staff were not overly helpful. They tried to charge us $65 for a car to the waterfall. We walked outside and the first Tuk Tuk driver we asked only charged us $20. The hotel claimed they could not help us with an organising a Tuk Tuk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view while you have breakfast. Also a good breakfast (the pancake banana was great).
Cons: I had to go very early because of some medical issues with my teeth. Luang Prabang would otherwise be good to stay a few days.
6.7 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: The facilities are dated
7.0 Good
Pros: A bit of a walk to to town. Price expensive. Would have like a pool and restaurant for the price.
Cons: For 10 nights the price should have been negotiable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room overlooking river, helpful staff, nice breakfast although a little limited.
Cons: Tried very hard to get us to pay in cash even though they ultimately accepted credit card as stipulated by booking.com
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Little oasis. Loved being right on the river - close to action - yet away from the hustle and bustle. Would definitely return. Great breakfast too! Nice to have access to bikes as well.
Cons: All good! Only draw back - no pool.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This ia a nice hotel close to the riverside, as the name suggests. The staff is extremely helpful and nice, the room was clean and the bathroom was large. Breakfast was excellent with fresh juices.
Cons: The place met our expectations.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very good, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was simple and limited but very tasty (banana pancake was amazing). The staff was very helpful (tours, minivans, tips, etc) and the free bikes were handy. We enjoyed!
Cons: The hotel charges in USD but when paying with credit card it is converted to Kip in a low exchange rate plus 3%. I felt we lost some money. I am not sure it is normal in Laos to use lower exchange rate, but I think is important to mention here.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms and very nice with access to swimming pool and spa!
5.0 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good- fantastic view of river. Nice that blankets were available at the cafe for when it was chilly.
Cons: Coffee at cafe was terrible - I had to resort to hot chocolate. Although it was advertised that the pool was over the river, away from the hotel it wasn't clear just how far it was and that when you got there it was totally without charm. It also was not made clear in the 'blurb' that there was nowhere else ( other than the bedroom over-looking the road) to relax . As this was the end of our holiday we had hoped to spend time relaxing but there was nowhere to do this. For the money I paid , compared to other hotels in our trip , I found this poor value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in the middle of an ancient, calm neighbourhood and close to one of the most beautiful temples. Lots of local atmosphere at your doorstep! Crispy and warm croisssants and excellent Capuccino for breakfast on a terrace with breathtaking view. Great owner who built the hotel 14 years ago and invites all guests to a wine tasting twice a week. Tours can be easily organised by the reception staff. This place is unique in South East Asia!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff is very friendly and helpful, nice restaurant with calm atmosphere, walking distance to main places, great swimming pool and spa, only located nearby but worth the walk. Would definitely recommend it again
10.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Cons: Would like the coffee at breakfast to be hotter.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm. Location is ideal at the end of town overlooking the Mekong River and within walking distance of all the town's sights and restaurants. Front desk staff = fantastic all round. Definitely recommend this property. Same day laundry service too.
Cons: AC was a bit old fashioned, but worked well enough. A bit of street noise during the day. Wonky flight of stairs up to the second floor. Nothing else to add.

Pros: Originally booked 3 nights but loved the hotel and Luang Prabang so much we extended our stay for a further 2 nights. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of variety to choose from. It was my husbands birthday during our stay and the staff surprised him with a lovely cake. I was very touched by this, he loved it and the cake was delicious
Cons: We didn’t like leaving.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property & hospitality. Would like to specially thank Elodi & her team who runs the place for personally connecting with each guest and catering to their needs. Always ready with helpful suggestions & tips. Property is on a quiet street, just a 10 min walk from night market & ~5 min from Mekong riverside. Clean room & bathroom, great breakfast! Highly recommended.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very clean with an excellent breakfast . A very pleasant swimming pool area Well kept gardens
Cons: The location was disappointing it was too far from the Centre of the Main Street where the best bars and restaurants are located The room although large was very dark with insufficient lighting . Windows are very small and the en-suite was also extremely dark not made better by dark decoration and terrible insufficient lighting We ordered a taxi to transfer us to the airport the day before leaving but it failed to turn up on time and so another guest offered to take us to the airport. Our taxi showed up as we were leaving but 10/15 minutes late. Reception were reluctant to return our 10 dollars for the fare and were far from pleasant. Returning home at nights by foot is not recommended due to poor to no street lighting I would not recommend this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel .very quiet..rooms quiet at night. Elodie and Cook very attentive also offering "Nutella" at breakfast for kids. Enough water provided. Upon check-in we had first a small superior room which was quite tight with the extrabed for our kid. Upon request they provided for free an upgrade to bigger room which was sufficient from size. Hotel is within 5 to 10 min walking distance from night market and restaurants.
Cons: We had a room at ground floor in the garden with quite a lot of mosquitoes around, upon request they sprayed the room and also prepared an extra mosquito net for the extrabed. Not sure whether there can be some gaze installed at the windows to prevent mosquitoes coming into the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, convenient to everything. Free use of bikes.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice villas, consisting of a four poster bed with netting. The bathroom is not fancy but simple in design. Nice pool with plenty of loungers. The breakfast is a good buffet with eggs to order and ALL the staff are wonderful. The location is good, not right in the centre but only a nice easy 10 min walk away. The use of bicycles is a good idea and nice way to explore.
Cons: They provide bath robes but not slippers, considering the villas have concrete floors. Also, only one accessible wall socket by the bathroom door, not the most convenient place to charge devices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean. Staff very polite and accommodating.
Cons: Honestly, everything was perfect.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool area for relaxation, great massage, extremely pleasant and helpful staff particularly the barman and at reception. Thank you to all for making it such a lovely stay.
Cons: Although good the food choices at times were limited. Perhaps the attentions of the european lady customer relations member of staff were a little 'pushy' and not in keeping with the otherwise relaxed but attentive and excellent service we received.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: On arrival were pleasantly greeted by staff..We loved the breakfast. Food was tasty. The location is very central but quiet and away from the main road. The staff and especially manageress very friendly and also helpful and knowledgeable of the area
Cons: Whilst the bathroom was clean ventilation could have been better. Whilst breakfast was delightful the one meal we ate at the restaurant in evening was average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to almost everything. Close to the Mekong River and many cafes, bars and restaurants where you can overlook the river and watch The Sunset.
Cons: Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lotus Villa is so charming! The hotel - nestled along a quiet street right in town - has a beautiful courtyard, super yummy breakfast, excellent service and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Honestly, there was not a single thing I didn’t like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast Nice garden were the breakfast is served
Cons: Avoid rooms facing the street, can be noicy from the backpackers restaurant opisite the hotel, but they close 11 pm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a very central location of Luang Prabang yet it is in a quieter side of it, as the hotel is located parallel to and in between the main street and the river road. It is 3 mins walk to the nearest restaurants, cafes, temples, and monasteries. We really enjoyed the free flow of breakfast. It is basic breakfast of omelettes, croissants, and really good coffee and local special daily (between rice porridge - the best! and mango sticky rice). The hotel room has basic toilet and room amenities that are kept clean regularly. The staff is polite, gentle, and helpful, although because of the courtyard design of the property can be heard speaking loudly from the courtyard. They regularly ask about comfort and needs regarding food and our overall stay.
Cons: While it is generally a quiet hotel tucked in a quiet street, the courtyard layout of the hotel plus the room with a door in between does not lend itself to complete good night's rest. We were up on some nights and awakened early morning with next door guests speaking loudly in the rooms and courtyard. The assistant manager readily offered us another available room on the second level after we spoke with him. We very much appreciated it! This hotel can do a little bit more work in terms of details of hospitality and service of a boutique hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great little hotel in a good location Wooden, heritage style Very helpful and polite staff Excellent breakfast in a lovely green courtyard
Cons: A little on the expensive side
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff. Location. Great breakfast. I liked all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: They let me choose my room from the free ones on the day I got there and it was large. Staff were super helpful and arranged all of my tours to Kuang Si waterfall and Pak Ou caves. Great location which is walking distance to most attractions in town. Included breakfast was fantastic.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good spot nice and central
Cons: They never made the extra bed in the room
6.3 Good
Pros: Room size, helpful and polite staff. The counter staff brought us to a bike rental shop. (the hotel free use bike is limited on availability as they only have 2 bikes)
Cons: The room we stayed is a suite with good size..BUT, floor tiles is loose, aircon is weak, lighting for the side hall need some luck to turn it on. Was told that will be able to witness locals offering alms to the monk at the balcony.. Well, you could but you have to put up with the fact that the balcony is facing a rubbish dump area that the nearby resident will throw their garbage in the evening and the rubbish trunk coming to collect at night. sitting at the balcony watching ppl comes and goes dumping their garbage right in front of you is not much fun during holiday. No TV in the suite, wifi is very weak. Breakfast is overrated, I've stay in 3 hotels during this trip. This is the most expensive one and breakfast is not even par with the other hotel I've stayed (near namkan river, 1 street behind) which cost less than half the price for similar room. Water pressure in the shower is very low. but it's rather common in LP. Side note: For traveller not from thai/USA region, dont bother to change your local currency to USD. money changer accepts many foreign currency. And withdrawing from ATM also a good option.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is just excellent. One of the best hotels we have ever been. Great location with rice pads. Amazing views. Delicious breakfast with great choice.
Cons: To split hairs, hot dishes at the breakfast were not always kept hot. Take upstairs room.
7.0 Good
Pros: - Thony, at front desk, is AMAZING. he was extremely service oriented and helped us book all our tours, ensured the most convenient pick-ups for us, knew us and our son by name. - beautiful landscape - bicycles - pools - service - playroom with babysitting service
Cons: - almost everyday there was something wrong either with the toilet bowl not flushing, bath tub tap not working, wifi not working, aircon not working etc. We had to call for a technician quite often - no microwave in the suite. Microwaves are important when travelling with kids. - took a long time for room service to clear dinner plates
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel Great pool Amazing breakfast Great staff
Cons: Everything was perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful grounds and accommodation
Cons: I accidentally broke a plastic soap dish in the shower so let the staff know at check out. They tried to charge me $50, then $30 to replace it. Soured the experience for me a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: our room has nice décor, spacious and clean. staff very helpful and courteous.
Cons: the Happy New Year sign right in the center with lights.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was awesome, the free shuttle to town is super quick, efficient and easy. Everyone here is so nice and we had an incredible stay.
Cons: We weren’t prepared for everything at the hotel to be charged in USD (this made everything a bit more expensive for us because of the exchange rate), but it didn’t make our stay any less enjoyable. Highly recommend Pullman to anyone coming to Luang Prabang :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our only complaint was the limited space available in the shuttle bus into the centre of Luang Prabang - we were there during high season and there was not enough space on shuttle buses between the hotel and central Luang Prabang.

Pros: The room was brand new. Really comfy bed. Super service! And Mr Noy was the very best! If I could rate this higher I would. Beautiful hotel!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptional and a big thank you to all the front desk who went out of their way to help. They even ran me to the bus station to collect some onward tickets. Breakfasts were first rate and the morning service was one of the best we have experienced. Rooms were large and on the whole, quiet.
Cons: Not much. The hotel was a little out of town but the free shuttle service and free cycle hire more than made up for this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are nice and welcoming. The hotel is clean, kept in great condition and has all needed amenities. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and the breakfast staff are amazing. They packed us breakfast at our request. Overall, wonderful experience with this hotel.
Cons: The location is not central, however we knew this while booking and the hotel provides a free shuttle once a day. The downside is that you need to find internet to request a pick up from the town. Also, you don't have a shuttle early in the morning. One more thing, the prices the hotel quotes for pick and drop off to the airport is more than if you simply get a usual taxi or tuk tuk.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious rooms, clean , staff are lovely and helpful. Shuttle to town at set times but whenever you request , so don’t let this being a bit out of town put you off!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Smelled too much of air freshener in the room. The faucets were broken. The staff were not very helpful. The laundry service was terrible. The location is bad
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff are super friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the facilities are new and good , breakfast is very tasty and of great choices.
Cons: too far away from main scenic spots
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! Room very big and comfortable, lovely bathroom, staff were superb - very helpful & friendly. Good breakfast but better in days it was self service. It is a little way from centre but free shuttle service so not a problem. We also enjoyed the walk into town.
Cons: We stayed for 3 nights and breakfast was only self service on one day. On the other two days it was table service but staff brought everything at once for my husband (muesli, omelette and toast). Omelette and toast were cold by the time he had eaten the muesli. Far better to be self service all the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: All was great!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, free shuttle to the city area and back (10 min), You can meet North Korean girls selling food on the street corner right outside the hotel.
Cons: When taking a shower the temperature of the water constantly was changing from hot to cold / cold to hot.

9.6 Excellent

The kitchen is likewise outstanding. Pool area superior. The Hotel is like a warm family home where we wanted to stay longer! ... and now top of the list of hotels we want to re-visit.
Cons: Not much to complain about. This is truly a great small luxury hotel!

Clean and large pool with nice view, Breakfast had many international and Laos choices that were so delicious. I really recommend this hotel and if I come back to Luang probang I will stay there.
Cons: Nothing
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: To this 5-star hotel, please note the following preparations: 1) Pay cash (U.S. dollar) to avoid repeat deductions from your bank card. 2) Accept to take cold water shower or finish your shower in 5 minutes. 3) The hotel's manager is a Philippine people. He wanted to teach us how to take a quick bath before the hot water disappears. 4) As the the guests next to us are American couples who have no complain, we, Chinese shouldn't have, too. Or we were called "DIFFICULT guests" by the manager. Finally it destroyed my vacation (in Feb)and it's not over yet as it is taking my time, energy and money for dealing with duplicate deductions now.
7.5 Good
Pros: The very big swimming pool and quiet location
Cons: Breakfast breads and croissant wet and at times one or2 days old. Coffee undrinkable. Free airport roundtrip shuttle as listed inBooking. com only free on arrival. Usd 15 charge upon departing. General Manager very strange and not guest oriented.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is superb. I love the heritage style architecture.
Cons: The noise is quite loud since the hotel is by the road with cars and motorbikes coming all the time. The walls and ceilings are not sound proofed.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing!
Cons: The room was cold even with a small heater and it really made showering very uncomfortable during this season. :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel may blend with all the other buildings in the area but it is definitely a standout once you see yourself lounging in the lovely terrace by the Nam Khan River and passersby look your way in awe. Our room had a balcony facing the road and overlooking the river and it was superb. Wooden furnishing, super comfortable bed, free stuff from the bar (an opening promo), and a lavish shower made our stay truly comfortable. Add to that the amazing service from the staff right from the reception to the food up to the cooking class (I highly suggest that you opt for this experience). Many special thanks to Mr. Zack, Chef Noy, Mr. SOne & Mr. Bounmee for making our stay relaxing and carefree in Luang Prabang. PS The classic Mercedes is a fine touch!
Cons: Toothbrushes were not provided during our stay. We have our own but I think it should be part of the standard toiletry set (in case guests forget to bring their own). Other than that, all things are a-ok!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amaxing! Good breakfast. Very relaxed and elegant environment.
