Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved the villa - single storey and spacious. Parklike grounds gave us space. So much nicer than the big places with their rows and rows of sameness. Great places to eat reasonably close (walking distance ) - head in direction of Shipwreck (what a gem) and Castaway. (Not a fan of The Rarotongan which is closest in opposite direction). Beach across road is nice but we were out and about a lot - there are plenty of others to explore
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beatiful place. Nice stuff.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Gorgeous clean villas with everything you need including a kitchen! Breakfast buffet was very clean and tidy with a good selection of fresh food and dairy free milks. Laundry facilities.
Cons: Would have been great if they had lunch and dinner. Also it isn’t on the beach.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The whole management and reception ladies were very helpful and excellent. The Gardens are the best manicured I have seen in any accommodation. It was nice and peaceful. The clientele was very friendly. The cleaning ladies were friendly and did an excellent job. The Villa was well equipped. I would come back, if the beach moves over the road, ha-ha.
Cons: It is not the properties fault, but I would like to have a better sea view
Good 7.0
Pros: The pool was sparkling clean, good beach and snorkelling across the road.
Cons: The local dogs coming onto the property and barking and fighting every night. Not one night without broken sleep.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Rooms were bright and airy. Excellent pool. Beach opposite was excellent for snorkelling. Breakfast nice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lagoon Breeze is beautiful, clean, spacious, quiet, private, comfortable, with fabulous and cheerful staff, a fantastic snorkling beach and an inviting sheltered swimming pool for windy days, or just relaxing.
Good 7.6
Friendly service, nice pool and close to beach are the highlights for Lagoon Breeze. Five minute walk down the highway (south) leads you to quite good snorkeling in the lagoon. Vicki at reception is helpful for tours, car rentals etc. Great place to kickback & relax.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lagoon Breeze is a welcoming, relaxing place to stay with villas which are modern, super comfortable, spacious, private and spotlessly clean. The garden setting is delightful, and a beautiful beach for swimming, kayaking and snorkelling is just across the road. We loved having the beach equipment available to use, plus there were even sand chairs available if you just want to sit on the sand, read your book and take in the view! The tropical breakfast daily was lovely, and Happy Hour each afternoon was a bonus. We had a free scuba diving lesson in the beautiful swimming pool and enjoyed it so much later booked a dive In the lagoon with the local dive company.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely place for a couple to stay. Hosts are happy to help with opening coconuts as well. Really enjoyed our stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Attractive garden and pool area!! Owner was super helpful and nice 🙂 Good location. Handy to 24h supermarket!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the style. It was roomy airy and light.
Cons: I didn't like that there was no bedroom door as I was sharing with a snorer otherwise it was great.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Anna and Rob were fabulous hosts, welcoming, friendly and helpful. They had good local knowledge of the best places to go to eat and tours that were available. The facilities were great, we had everything we needed and the grounds on the property were very well kept and inviting.
Cons: The room we stayed in is starting to look a little tired, but was still kept clean and tidy. We also thought that a nice screen of greenery between our outside seating area and the backs of the other units would have made sitting outside a little more pleasant.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All clean ,tidy and big space . They gave good tools for staying and care for the nature. There are nice bicycles, too. You can definitely enjoy island time near the beautiful beach.Highly recommend.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really clean, neat, tidy accomodation lovely pool and gardens. Not beachfront but just across the road. Only 6 units so nice and quiet. Owners are lovely ex Kiwis 😁
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Firstly, we have traditionally stayed at big resorts, and due to late changes in holiday destination we found this location and thought we would give it a shot after reading the reviews. We were certainly not disappointed ! Being out of a resort encourages a wider exploration of what is available, and in regards to this resort a much quieter and possibly friendlier stay. Very well maintained comfortable and representing in our opinion great value for money. Hosts are fantastic and whilst we had no need for it, I doubt anything would be too much trouble for them. Lovely gardens and your own large deck are fantastic - plenty of room for each unit. Pool is pleasant and off road parking a bonus.
Cons: As I think would be the case anywhere not on the beach, a little bit of traffic noise and the chorus of a 1000 roosters every morning!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The quiet location, size of the resort and great hosts.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: tropical paradise. Friendly helpful owners. Apartment clean and well equipped. Highly recommended.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We have stayed in places all around the world. This was the the best in cleanliness( you could eat off the floor) Hospitality service and all the other great values you look for when holidaying. Wonderful hosts. Even brought us freshly picked passionfruit. We recommend this property to all. We have rebooked another 10 days in 2022.
Cons: It is vry very minor but the beach could have been sandy. LOL
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was perfect. Very picturesque...an island paradise! The views - amazing. Right on the beach. The bungalow was extremely clean thanks to our host Patti who cleaned and refreshed it every day. It was very quiet which we appreciated. The owners Patti and Dennis are hospitable, helpful, very friendly and gave great tips for eating, etc. They even organised our taxi pickup from the airport on arrival, and a rental car the next day. Patti went to the trouble of picking and then cooking for us, a tropical chestnut because we had never tried one previously. Overall it was the perfect holiday! We can't wait to stay again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: One of the best spot in Rarotonga where to enjoy the sunset, beautiful location and so peaceful, Dennis and Patti has been great hosts and always available, the attention to the details and the room cleaning are stunning! Highly recommended
Excellent 10.0
Pros: UNIT 9 (small standard bungalow) Your own secluded private gold sand beachfront, beautiful vistas of crystal lagoon and reef 24/7 & the lush mountain terrain, filtered sunshine through coconut trees, the gorgeous & clean spacious pool, your own private deck, private outdoor furniture, bbq, HDMI tv, clear reception, my fav channel 1 NZ news, gorgeous strong hit water pressure shower, great kitchen with all your needs except I never cooked on holiday, exceptionally spotlessly clean, very comforting for the germaphobes like me, Kayaks free for use, yummy fruit trees, fresh fruit to your bungalow each morning, the convenience and extreme cleanliness of the self contained bungalows & the whole propertyin general, the easy walkable location to food & bars both left and right of driveway, awesome Carnivorous & Vegetarian friendly restaurants & cafes, (Beluga is fab, shipwreck bar & restaurant, Cast Away bar and restaurant) absolute FRESH fish n chip shop (Pacific Fish Shop Tues-Thurs 5pm-9pm), dairy's that supply fresh 60c Island donuts lol & other basics. NO DOGS, NO ROOSTERS, NO CATS, NO KIDS- nothing but the noise of palm leaves when a breeze comes by, the waves on the reef & your own noise you make...Great policy! The Kiwi/Cook hosts Patty and Dennis are awesome. Always helpful, naturally friendly, full of great advice, a full reception with holiday tours & a free map. All round great people. Will definitely stay again when we are back.
Cons: We only stayed 6nights, wish we stayed longer.
Good 7.0
Pros: Lovely clean unit and lovely people
Cons: Private
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This property was kept very clean, lovely hosts. Had everything you need on a holiday, beautiful pool which we used a lot 👍
Cons: Air Con was set on one temperature, happy to pay $2 per hour & 1/2 but would prefer to be able to increase as required, was super hot & was hard to get to sleep. Unit 6 not sure what the other units were like.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Nicely situated between the main town and Muri with a regular bus stop outside the property. Good pool and free kayaks.
Cons: Restrictions on cooking in the apartment, lack of hanging space for clothes and although there is a lovely beach the rocks and coral makes swimming in the sea a challenge!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful secluded little place right on beach
Cons: closeness to restaurants

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about the place.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The only fault was the breakfast. I'm gluten free so I could only eat cornflakes, rice bubbles and fruit. A gluten free bread option would have been good.
Cons: The maitre D in On the Beach Restaurant was disorganized and not friendly. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the staff were so helpful and friendly, the beach and pool are beautiful, the room is spacious, the outdoor shower is great, bar prices are reasonable, the number of guests is limited so there is always space at the beach and pool
Cons: breakfast needed more staff and often the fruit and coffee would run short, the restaurant is run on a separate lease so any issues there cannot be resolved thru the resort management, restaurant needs to cater better for dietary requirements - vegan, GF
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely accommodating staff with lots of recommendations for things to do and places to see, the rooms were very spacious and always cleaned beautifully, the pool facilities were the best I've experienced on the island and the cocktails were incredible! Also, go to this place for the sunsets if nothing else. No other place on the island is quite like it!!
Cons: The breakfasts were a little limited with the exact same options every day. It got a little "same same" after 6 days, however they were very nice so not complaining. Just would have been nice to see a couple of different options.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful location, nice and peaceful, pool was outstanding. Villas were all fresh and clean. Added bonus of a great view from the sun loungers on the beach out to the whales migrating past. Staff were really friendly and very helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Manuia Beach Resort is a wonderful gem of a property. Located right on the beach near to Arorangi, and down a long driveway off the road, the resort has 25 villas surrounded by beautifully maintained tropical gardens and some of the villas are directly facing the beach. The rooms had been refurbished during the Covid 19 closure and are very comfortable with new curtains and furniture - we had a super king size bed and a single bed in our room. The outdoor shower is really quirky and fun, great when the weather is hot and also when it is raining. The pool has also been renovated and is fully tiled with a wet edge and a new deck around the pool and out to the beach, complete with sun loungers and bean bags. It is right next to the On the Beach Restaurant which serves a tropical complimentary breakfast every day. The lunches and dinners were superb here also. There is a sumptuous BBQ buffet every Sunday and a fire show, so ensure you book in for that. Facing directly west, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. Being on the leeward side of the island it was mostly protected from the wind, and we seemed to have a lot more sunshine and less cloud cover than other parts of the island where the clouds hugged the mountains some days. The lagoon also had much clearer water than at Muri Beach. The resort provides a shuttle bus to and from the airport. We hired a car through the associated car rental place which is just across the road and the bus stops are right outside the resort's driveway. Note that the resort is 18+, therefore not suitable for families with young children. We were there with our older teenager and there were other families there also with similarly aged teenagers. The staff were top class, friendly, helpful, informative and very pleased to welcome us to their island home.
Cons: The lagoon is a bit rocky and the water is not quite as crystal clear as the sandy lagoon at the Rarotongan, but the Rarotongan is only a short drive or bus ride down the road. Lots of guests still made the most of snorkelling in the lagoon all the way out to the reef.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Chose to stay at Manuia Beach Resort for 2 nights before travelling to Aitutaki. The resort is well located down a quiet driveway with villas set amongst very pretty and well kept tropical gardens. Good size rooms and recently refurbished to a high standard. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast with a good variety of continental options, and we also ate dinner one night which was very good too. Staff from reception, bar staff, and cleaning ladies are all very polite friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stay and we met returning guests which vouches for the resort being a great choice for a stay in Rarotonga, if for a couple of nights or a longer time. Well priced for the quality of the resort, we would definitely return.
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like.
Excellent 8.0
Beautiful setting, accommodations and beach gear could use some updating/fixing.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved our stay. The location is handy to town , restaurants and rooms are kept immaculate. As soon as arrived we were treated to a whales just off the beach. This spot is definitely one of the best for whale watching. The best part of Cooks Oasis is definitely the hosts Adele and Matt…they really went out of there way to look after during our stay and we felt very welcome. We highly recommend a stay with Matt and Adele. ❤️
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic location with a beautiful beach inside the lagoon. Helpful and friendly staff who gave us recommendations for fun day trips, the best places to eat and advise on local services. The Cooks Oasis has numerous restaurants in easy walking distance and an awesome bakery across the road.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: They were very helpful and friendly
Good 7.9
Pros: Host were great! DVD selection saved the day. Restaurants next door. Plenty of souvenirs downtown and convenience store nearby. There are two fitness centers in town that open in the AM and have showers just in case. 2 miles from the center of town. Beach access is two minute walk.
Cons: Cable news or some sort of TV programming would be great. Free AC would be even better. Tourist information and pamphlets about the island, restaurants, etc. Taxi over charge was unexpected. :-(.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Owners are very nice and helpful. Room is clean and tidy. You can access the beach within one minute.
Cons: It’s not by the beach. The owner built too many villas on a small land. no view at all, all you can see on your balcony are the other villas, roofs, and someone else’s bed.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The cleanliness of the property the comfort of the bed the stunning beachside’ with kayaks&beach shoes provided’.No faults thank you Cooks Oasis 😊
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds, friendly and accommodating staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the staff/owners friendliness! Very informal settings including DVDs, laundry, small pool (we never used), water toys such as masks, snorkels, water shoes, ocean kayaks. Well landscaped alleys, private villas. Not exactly waterfront, but 50m (150') walk from the beach is still a great location!
Cons: In USA early check-in, late check-out is a common courtesy (of course based on availability) that appears to be not the case here in the Cook Islands.

Pros: The staff were just lovely. Beautiful beach.

Good 7.0
Pros: Really nice property with lovely gardens, quick access to and from the airport. Our room was simple but very nice and a great little sunset beach bar.
Cons: I would recommend staying to friends but we really didn't like being woken numerous times at night be the very vocal roosters outside our window.
Excellent 10.0

Good 7.0
Pros: The quite west facing beach. The approachable staff. the sound of the sea. The live music. Suggestions and advice on tours. New local doctor
Cons: The road noise. the cockroaches, the poor wifI at times. Could have been offered 3 days wifi hotspot free.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great breakfast at the Shipwreck Hut Beachside, colourful tie-dye bedspread & curtains & cute bungalows

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room with its own pool is a unique proposition for South Pacific hotels and really great for longer stays - you can easily stay in your own bubble / in own compound if wanting to minimise seeing people. Staff were excellent!
Cons: Food was not at the level expected for cost of this resort but I imagine and hope that is due to the Covid resourcing issues eg bfast scambled and omlettes not at normal cafe level. Main meals mediocre.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved the view of the gardens and swimming pool. Also the extra wide bed was very comfortable. The position of the restaurant and the area in front going right down to the beach is just wonderful. Disappointed in the lack of fish on the Island at this time of the year, but that's something that nature controls.
Cons: The furniture was amazing, so solid. The kitchen was a bit old in our villa, but they are upgrading them gradually. We had a sneak view at one of the courtyard villas, we stayed in one about 11 years ago. They are still just as amazing as they were then.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a two bedroom ocean front villa which was stunning and had everything you could possibly need. My favourite part of the day was sitting on our porch sipping cocktails and watching the sun set every night - on our last evening we even got to see humpback whales leaping in the water just out past the reef! The sight and sound of the waves crashing on the reef was incredible and one of the best parts about having an ocean front position. All the staff we encountered (reception, cleaning, restaurant etc) were friendly and helpful and always went the extra mile. Enjoyed the restaurant and the pool too. It was an unforgettable experience.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff were lovely, and helpful. Drinks were good value and tasty. We really appreciated the no kid policy it made our stay so much more pleasant.
Cons: The bloody rosters roosting in the trees by our room need disposing of. 1am, 3am, 4am and 6am wake up calls were unnecessary!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful cooked breakfast every morning, plenty of options. a lovely way to start the day. The service was so friendly and welcoming. nothing was too much bother.
Cons: everything was great. Ran out of English Breakfast teabags and Marmalade, both are our staples at breakfast time.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: enjoyed the consistent and high level of service, great food nice off beach private bungalow - well setup
Cons: beach not as nice as muri for general swimming activities due to the closeness of the outer reef and lack of much open area for swimming

Okay 5.0
Pros: Location & beach
Cons: Hotel decor is shabby. Housekeeping staff slack about cleaning daily before going into Alert Level 2. Had to keep asking to have the room cleaned.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good breakfast. Great beach for both swimming and snorkelling. Lovely staff. Excellent location.
Good 6.0
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable, nice balcony with a nice garden view. The beach is very nice on a good day lots of great snorkeling. The staff are friendly but due to covid there definitely isn't enough staff to cover such a large resort.
Cons: The food produced by the kitchen was average, I had eggs benedict for breakfast one day (pictured). The bread it came on appeared to be a burger bun cut in half which was quite dry, it can be improved by just using local bread even local toast which i had at other restaurants. It had thin pieces of carrot and spring onion? on it which didnt compliment the taste, something green and leafy like local spinach would suit better. The chicken parmigiana was dry and was presented more like pub food not worth $26
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved the closeness to the beach, the staff were friendly and helpful. The variety of meals off the menu were great.
Cons: The first room was just dated, badly needed an upgrade.
Excellent 9.2
I think from zooming around the island on the scooter and having a good look, this was definitely one of the best hotels we could have chosen.
Excellent 8.4
Great service from the staff. Small but well equipped gym. Right by the water. There's a bike/ scooter hire place nearby.
Mediocre 2.8
Although a little dated, this property gave excellent value - very clean, good on-site restaurant, great beach and many free activities (kayaks, snorkel gear and stand up paddle boards to name a few). We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We would definitely book again.
Excellent 10.0
The resort was beautiful the set out was a tropical canvas .location was away from main town and Muri beach but catching the bus hiring a scooter or car took around 15 mins to travel to either The reef was beautiful at resort Loved the staff also very accommodating
Excellent 9.6
I would highly recommend this resort. Amazing location with the best snorkeling in Roratonga right out your front door. Great food! They cooked our fresh catch from our deep sea fishing excursion in 4 different ways. Soo delicious. Fabulous holiday.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Setting was beautiful - lots of fish, eels, sea creatures in the lagoon. The snorkeling was excellent. The resort was comfortable, beds comfortable, setting beautiful ( have to say that again). Staff were pleasant. we would go back there anytime.
Cons: Could add eggs and bacon to the breakfast and take out the tinned ham.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: The people, the views, the water, the animals and the food were all so amazing I can't recommend this island enough! Even traveling from so far away we know we will be back for our next big special celebration. An absolute must on a travel top ten list! Kia Orana!
Cons: The bed is my only complaint. It says we booked a king and the size was accurate however it was actually two twin mattresses put together and one was a very different firmness so it sank down on one side. This was very disappointing for our honeymoon as we are a snuggle to sleep type couple. But this is the only thing I can complain about, everything else was incredible.
Good 7.7
Pros: Great
Cons: Front desk staff and old bathrooms

Excellent 8.3
Cons: Chantelle is a great host, very helpful, told me evertyhing I needed to know, where to go, where to eat, best beaches. Room was tidy, cleand ever day. Tea, coffee, refrigerator, toster in the room. Close to stores, bus stop in front of the hotel. Small beach right next to it. I loved staying there.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Close to town and the beach. Chantelle was super friendly and helpful! Good value. Bus stop right outside. Flexible check in/check out and easy transfers to the airport.
Cons: A little lonely staying there on my own, and it was quiet, but it was a great location and close to town with a bus stop right outside so easy to get out and about.
Good 7.1
Pros: After traversing the many wonderous places on the Island of Rarotonga during the day, it was great to retreat to the paradise Inn at night. I really was surprised by the staff who make it a pleasure to stay at P.I Cookislands. They went above and beyond expectation to help make my stay an enjoyable one. Manager Chantelle & all the support staff were very understanding & always willing to facilitate assistance with travel plans or give valuable advice when it was needed. Great beach access, close to shops&town. To further explore the Island, it's easy to rent a bike or car from www.polynesianhire.co.ck My room was 3star (as advertised), but I felt like I got the 5star treatment. Considering the price I paid for the length of stay; I would look to revisit Paradise again.
Cons: The place could do with an upgrade
