Excellent 10.0
Pros: The stay was amazing and the staff are very friendly,
Cons: Nothing so far
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent staff, location and food.
Cons: Wifi was not strong enough in rooms.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: location, excellent food
Cons: price is high, on the water suites too hot to walk back and forth. need a golf cart please
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It was my second time to visit The Sands at Chale. The first one was only a day trip back in January. After my first visit, I told my husband we are coming back to the coast to stay in Chale Island. I love the overall peacefulness the headland/island gives in general. Because the resort is so big and they offer lots of activities, I never felt that there were a lot of people. On many occasions, we find one of the pools just to ourselves or would share it with two or three other guests. I like that they do their best to protect and preserve the environment and help the local community. I like that the colobus monkeys, who were once endangered, are free to move around (don’t worry, Colobus monkeys are not your typical annoying monkeys - they are not aggressive and they don’t eat human food) and various types of beautiful birds are just everywhere in the island. I enjoyed the activities they provide. We specifically did their snorkeling excursion and scuba diving trial. The snorkeling was at a really low cost compared to when you go with the boats at the main beach. Paul was an excellent snorkeling guide. Scuba diving trial at the pool was free. Hamani is a world class instructor. The trial encouraged me to do the certification at Diving the Craband in the near future. I love the food. We got the full board package (highly recommended). I think what I love about it is the variety of food they have at the buffet, including good local dishes. Lastly, the Beach Bandas are amazing. My recommendation is to add few bucks to upgrade to one of the beach bandas and you get the best sunrises, direct access to the beach, and star gazing at night.
Cons: I don’t know if it was the season but we had a lot of mosquitoes in our room on the first night. On the second night, we asked for mosquito spray and it was way better.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Courteous staff, clean, good food was exceptionally good and fresh.
Cons: Needed a fridge in the room due to excess heat for keeping cold drinks but was not available
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing views from the top
Cons: There was mention of hot tub in penthouse. There wasnt any.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: I did not like anything- The manager was terrible, very unpleasant in every way. The food was very bad, every meal. The WiFi was very bad, you had to have a lot of time and impatience. The breaking of electricity 10 - 17 makes the life more difficult. they allowed people to charge my room but they were not allowed from me! Also other thing were not correct handled by the hotel. Big sand many minus for this hotel
Excellent 10.0
We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had to take a boat to get to the island. My husband and I took the pent house and it went beyond exceeding our expectations. We could view the entire island from different angles in our rooms. The only downside was the flight of stairs that you have to take to get to the room but once you are there, you realize That it's all worth it...an elevevator would have been nice but I guess that would take away the antique island feel The food and the services are great. Just make sure you carry enough loose change in local currency for tips The ser

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. We'll be back...
Cons: -
Good 7.0
Pros: Dinners were good. Pool was cleaned regularly. Room was quite comfortable.
Cons: Pool area needs maintenance including beds and tiles around the pool. A bit dingy looking. Service could be more attentive, especially at non meal times. Was a bit difficult to find soemoen to get a drink. Beach might be nice if you come from Europe, but compared to the rest of diani and galu, it's not a great beach. Breakfast wasn't very good. The coffee was terrible.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Silence and the nature - plants and animals, attentive staff and very yummy dinners and breakfasts!
Cons: I would like a bit more variety for lunch.
Good 6.0
Pros: Breakfast and food in general was simple but good. Staff were amazing and always ready to help or provide you with alternatives. Always smiling and extremely pleasant yet not over bearing
Cons: The rooms need improving esp the ground floor especially the bathrooms
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice and freindly personell, always keen to Help, quite and peacful place, private beach. Very good food including breakfest
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Pinewood Resort was excellent. The magnificent staff, in particular, Wycliffe, James and Nixon (Chef), make it a place worth visiting again and again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This place is a dream, from the first minute to the last. We arrived and we’re greeted with coconut water and that Kenyan smile from everyone. The room was perfect - big, with an amazing bed and good bathroom. All the meals were great and they even baked us a cake for our 10 year anniversary. The monkeys on the trees, the frogs singing at night and birds in the morning made everything even more special. Everyone that works there is amazing - Safari was always with a smile on his face and everyone else was just as cool as him. I would recommend this place to everyone as it was one of the best places I’ve ever been in my life.
Cons: The place was PERFECT.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: All the staff are nice Great food We almost didn’t got out of the hotel because we had everything we needed and didn’t feel like goin out We got dishes at dinner and breakfast specially made for us
Cons: Spa was really poor (My wife therapist was also the cashier on the hotel gift shop and the cleaning lady)

Excellent 8.0
Pros: - The location is just a dream - Diani beach is one of the most beautiful places. Nomad's is a 5 minute trip from the airstrip which is great. - The food is really, really good. Haven't tried the pizza/ pasta (it's run by Italians), but the seafood is wonderful! - Very friendly staff - The rooms (garden view room) are really lovely. Very spacious (even the bathroom!) and a great balcony with a superb view - watch out for monkeys ;-)
Cons: - Nomad's offers to pick you up from the airport. We did this the first time we went - stuffy car, no AC, but then at a 40$ charge! Note that the hotel is literally 5 minutes by car from the airstrip - total rip off! Second time we got a tuk tuk for 500Shillings (5$). They don't let you drive all the way to the gate with a tuk-tuk, so then it's a 3-4 minute walk with the luggage.
Good 6.0
Pros: Beautiful property and a wonderful quiet atmosphere.
Cons: Staff were not helpful and almost a hindrance throughout my stay. First they told me I couldn’t book the indulge menu because the chef is off on Tuesdays which is fair enough. When I asked to extend my stay by one night for that very purpose, they told me no rooms were available. Somehow there still seemed to be a room available on booking.com so I made the reservation and paid for the booking. The receptionist then tells me the indulge menu is fully booked on the extra night and that I won’t be able to experience the indulge menu during my stay. I then make a booking for the teppanyaki instead (which I confirmed 3 times) and when I arrive for my table they tell me I never booked even though there were two tables free. The host then tells me I’m lucky that she can accommodate me despite there being two free tables of which one was most likely the one I reserved. I have never been so badly treated by a hotel and I am sad to say I’m very disappointed in the service I received. It’s quite a shame because the hotel itself is a lovely space. Someone needs to work on the customer service and communication between the reception and the restaurants.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: When we did the reservation, only the cheapest room category was still available. Still it was perfect! We had an awesome room with a very nice view!
Cons: nothing... everything was perfect!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The new management (Giulia & Luca) greeted us with a welcoming cocktail for the guests to meet other guests. Also they had a 5-course meal at Indulge - the fine dining section of Nomad restaurant. You can also reserve the section for special occasions. Michelin-star style of food.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: small private resort. not such a AI big tourist one.
Cons: the loud sounding frogs behind the doors every night.
Excellent 9.6
A lovely boutique hotel right on the beach. It's next to a nice restaurant and a scuba diving centre. The staff were amazing with all of us, and the experience was very personalised. we all enjoyed our time there and our 8 yr old daughter and her grandma felt very at home. Definitely would go back and would recommend it.

Okay 5.0
Pros: Location is great. The hotel is lovely looking. One member of staff stood out. Ann who works in the restaurant and beach bar was amazing. So caring and attentive. Always willing to help. Nothing too much trouble. She deserves a better customer service role as she handles people so well
Cons: WiFi throughout the hotel was terrible. Facilities in the room were poor. The air conditioning didn't work from the time we arrived and eventually had to move rooms. The curtains wouldn't close. Bidet didn't work. Door left open by cleaners and monkeys got in and ate our food. I have stayed here before and the standards have dropped.
Okay 5.0
Pros: food was good, staff friendly
Cons: I broke a tooth with a small stone in mchicha (Kenyan spinach); I subsequently asked for a 'to whom it may concern' letter for my insurance back home, in order to get compensation for a dental repair. The manager promised to send me an email, but three weeks later I'm still waiting.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice spacious room set up. Great ambiance,
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I loved my spacious room and lovely view. The band who performed were also very entertaining. The food was also quite tasty and the staff at reception were amazing and very helpful.I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Cons: I asked the laundry for an ironing board and it took more than 30mins for them to bring it,not sure if they are short staffed or what but it was frustrating as I had a morning appointment and was almost late as a result. Just be careful when you eat by the beach restaurants, there are monkeys there who target ladies, odd enough.
Excellent 10.0
Amazing stay with them, staff are very friendly and helpful, would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Slight downside is the erratic wifi but overall loved the place

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location right by the beach and in front of the sand bank, the number of different places to be during the day, the staff and animation, as well as the variety of food.
Cons: I've read comments of people complaining about the food and drinks but for what you pay the options are great! There's variety and all is satisfying. If you want expensive and fancy drinks pay 4 or 5 times more and you'll have it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice place, with warm and welcoming people.
Cons: The food was a little too spicy for my taste. a lot of monkeys in the resort, some of them stilling food even from the room.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Built on the beach where you can walk, swim or just set back and relax.
Cons: check out time is too early at 10 Am not only that but they will force you to stay at the reception and not move anywhere around the hotel or the beach.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The friendliness and respect shown by the staff. Clean environment and very welcoming.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: The staff were not accommodating at all
Excellent 9.6
Fantastic staff and service, high class food, lovely swimming pools, … All easy and comfortable
Okay 4.4
The hotel should arrange transfers to airport and train station at reasonable cost. $60 for a single transfer is way to expensive!!
Excellent 9.6
Excellent location and the grounds are really beautiful. Front desk staff seemed a little confused, we would have stayed longer but they couldn't figure out the rate. Still I'd recommend and would love to visit again.

Pros: The service,...the food
Cons: The room, the pool
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing place. Food is fantastic, cocktails were delicious, facilities were clean, staff are friendly, amazing pool. There is so much to do like scuba diving snorkeling and great adventures around town.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Limited food options.
Cons: Awesome staff. Very clean with beautiful views.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Excellent facilities and very clean beach. Family rooms are spacious.
Cons: Food was a great let down. General disorganization at the buffet with food often running out and long queues due to staff shortages.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: from the reception, the rooms and the all inclusive package. The staff went above and beyond as I was travelling alone for my birthday to make me feel special. absolutely love it
Cons: I lost my room keys and was asked to pay a quite huge amount for replacement. These fees was waved after loads of talking and explanations with the management
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff was really amazing (apart from 1 guy at the reception). Super friendly and a reason for us to come back. Thereby, the food is great (considering the all in concept). Lastly, the pool is awesome and beautiful. Perfect place to relax.
Cons: Bathroom could have been better

Cons: Excellent with variety of snacks
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff, great to have a small kitchen. You have to walk a bit to the beach but for us it was ok because the accomodation was quiet. Great pool and we got a nice cold welcome drink!
Cons: We loved the cats, but they peed everywhere outside, especially on the pillows outside the room so we couldn't use the couch. We did not try the restaurant but had a look to the menu. They do not serve vegetarian dishes.

Good 7.0
Pros: The food was top notch. It was plenty and the waiters were just spectacular. A special mention to Waiter Joseph at the beach bar and Raphael at the pool bar. They are an amazing duo.
Cons: loong wait times during checkin. We waited for more than 30 mins before being assigned a room. They can do better on that.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Everything went very well
Cons: The cocktail menu is very very short and boring. The variety to choose from is small and everything tasted the same. It feels like no effort is made to make it special, its also served in small plastic glasses with no decoration, feels like something that is served at a children's party for small children. The pool closed too early - 18:00 in the evening and only opens at 10:00 in the morning which is fine but at 18:00 everybody is still in the pool, cooling down after a long hot day, sometimes after a day tour. WiFi is very slow, many times of the day not working at all. There is also NO women staff - to me as a woman that was a bit strange and out of line and some of the men staff was asking my number, not professional at all.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Papillon lagoon reef was very good, the only thing they need to work on is putting drinking water bottle in the room for water is life.
Cons: Gym machines were not clean.
Good 7.0
Pros: Room and dining areas were good. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The compound grounds requires more attention. The time for processing checking in is too long.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The friendly staffs and meals
Good 6.0
Pros: 1-If a problem arose and reported, it was taken care of. 2-The drinks at the bar were good.
Cons: 1-The rooms need to be stocked with water daily. 2-Some of the telephones and charging sockets don't work. 3-The sellers and tour guides keep following you to the beach marketing the goods and services making it impossible to enjoy the beach, they should be advised that if the visitor says no it's a no.We bought things from them yet the previous day they wanted to sell to us more. 4-All the rooms need to have TVs
Excellent 10.0
Should be at least 4 star hotel - not 3 stars like the official grading is claiming.

Pros: Diani is very hot and to my opinion the hotel should invest on water dispenser and ice boxes for the guests instead of selling water. 1l water for two persons per day is not enough. Some of the breakfast staff were very cold to the the guest of color and focused much on the white guest. Personally i was denied fruktsallad at the buffé table.🤔🤔
Excellent 9.0
Pros: the rooms are clean and we had everything we needed, people are very nice and accommodating, the beach is marvelous! 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Excellent 10.0
Pros: loved the service and place
Good 7.0
Pros: Friendly staff in all areas incl security at gate and beach. Clean facilities.
Cons: Not fully operational. Some bars and restaurants closed due to level of business - which is completly understandable during the covid. Breakfast did not live up to expectations. No packed butter portions, uncovered cheese that attracts flies, confusing system with service at the buffet.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: My birthday found me at the place, my friends organised with the hotel and I got the sweetest birthday cake. The presentation was superb. The guy who sings at the restaurant (Tom) has an amazing voice. He sings really well .The stuff are friendly
Cons: Everything was great except one morning when there was a bit of a crowd. There was a political party having a breakfast, you could tell most of the residents were inconvenienced.Maybe it was a bad idea to mix the guests
Good 7.0
Pros: Staying here after reading A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles made it feel like I was in an old grand hotel with so many hidden gems. Other than that, I loved the staff and quality of service.
Cons: The room, facilities and food are not really what I expect from a 5-star hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was very helpful and supportive. The food was marvelous and the scenery was splendid.
Cons: There was nothing I could say I didn't like, however, it would be nice if bidets were added with the toilets.
Good 7.0
Pros: The check in p8rocess is efficient. I have been to a few places in South Coast lately, this property is well maintained despite the covid situation. The food is a generous spread, and lovely. The property is right on the beach. They have entertainment certain nights and it makes the difference...with dancers and entertainers. The room I stayed in is a sea view and it's very therapeutic. The staff always say hello and they are very nice, I think this is their best resource, so veryrefreshing!. I loved that they don't encourage use of plastics, water bottles are in glass. When you get there, you might not need to leave at all. There is multiple restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Cons: The DJ at the pool plays 1 kind of music, I suspect when tipped. You'd get bored. If you like much smaller and intimate establishments, then this might not be for you.
Excellent 10.0
I booked the hotel for my father’s birthday. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was very clean considering we stayed during the pandemic. The only thing that was disappointing was the variety of food at the buffet . I don’t meat eat a lot of red meat so I was looking forward to a seafood variety. Also the birthday cake was very small compared to other hotels like Saroyan where I have had several birthdays. Besides this I would still come back & recommend to others!
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Excellent reception, ambience and top amenities and recreational activities.
Excellent 10.0
Great Staff Good price-performance ratio. Very good breakfast and the choice at the evening buffet was plentiful.
Excellent 10.0
Very good and nice place just at the beach
Excellent 8.5
The hotel has a nice swimming pool, beautiful beach, spacious and luxurious rooms and lots of children activities. The staff and waiters are extremely pleasant and very helpful. The quality of their food is good and have lots of personal attention from the kitchen staff. The quality of their services are amazing. The rooms are well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Their staff went all round to ensure that all their guest are served well and that they are very comfortable. Outdoor activities and entertainment were beyond our expectation and we couldn't find fault of the hotel in any way.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: We had a good stay here. Rooms are spacious yet they may still need some upgrades (walls, some towels worn out).Had a room with freshly painted walls, paint dripping on my luggage, table and floor, but they changed room and that one was much better. Food is excellent if you like Indian/Asian. Pool and garden are wonderful.
Cons: Service and information about the various restaurants and events could be improved, as you may get confused. Also booking the special dinner was an adventure as I got passed from one person to another several times and had the surprise that my table wasn’t actually booked.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The pool(s) are nice - large and varied with a swim-up bar. The beach outside the hotel is nice. The food was decent for a buffet with lots of vegetarian options and generally quite nice. It was a really disappointing stay (see 'What We Didn't Like' comments) so we decided to check-out early but in fairness after numerous debates with their staff (which were exhausting) they did agree a partial refund.
Cons: Drinks - included drinks are really poor. Coffee hardly tasted/smelled of coffee, wine was barely drinkable and cocktails very cheap. The lagers were almost always served barely chilled...which is hugely frustrating when we had a good fridge in the room but you can't use it to cool beers because they refuse to let you take closed ones from the bar. So you can either drink warm ones at the bar or take it to your room to cool...but it will go flat in the fridge because they'd have opened it. Safe - you have to pay for it! It was a few $ per day from memory but I've never been anywhere that you pay for the safe. The only reason you'd need it is because of their flimsy terrace doors or staff so not sure why you should pay for this. It feels like a bit of a rip-off and cheeky extra cost Servicing of room - inconsistent. At one time or the other we didn't get clean towels (despite old ones being taken away), water, shower gel/shampoo, toilet roll etc. General decor/quality of buildings - the hotel is far from quality. It's passable but many finishes are very tired. Ok for family trip or getaway with friends but not a quality or romantic stay. Doors to patio were flimsy, towels had holes in them, no pictures on the wall, a lot of sunbeds falling apart, the mattress on the sunbed on our patio had numerous rips in it. Cleaning - generally ok but not great. Toilet roll holder had dust which looked weeks old and the outside patio area (which we'd paid $500 extra for) was filthy when we got there with the sunbed and chair covered in dirt. Waiting for food/drink - one evening we booked into the Italian restaurant which had two wines on the menu by the glass (as the included wine wasn't nice we wanted to pay for a nicer glass). We ordered one, they didn't have it...
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Position in front of the beach, renovated rooms close to the beach, beautiful gardens, silent, no mosquitos.
Cons: Food not gor Europeans. Everything had the same taste. Tourist office not very good.
Good 7.0
Pros: I requested a sea view room and it was well worth the extra cost. Although, being elderly, a ground floor room might have been better.
Cons: I am not a fan of buffets - there are a lot of them!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Service was excellent, one phone call to the reception and whatever we requested was sent over
Cons: We didn't like the service at the cashier's. I had booked in USD, and was given a Kenyan rate, but at the hotel,I had to pay 2500/- extra as per the USD rate for that day. We had to follow up for receipts
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The stuff was kind and always checking up on us to see if we are comfortable. they went over and above to make sure that my toddler was well catered to. Especially Galgalo in the Kitchen, he was amazing.
Cons: They took along time to clean the rooms. They could improve on that.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Beach location, pool and the all-inclusive rates but there are undoubtedly some major flaws.
Cons: Staff are terrible. Poor customer service, AC wasn't working in room, poor attention to customer service and very very cheap / nasty quality drinks are included. Meals / breakfast in restaurant are mass produced junk. Breakfast is a fight between guests to get service. I'd rather stay at a better quality hotel than this next time. Would definitely not stay again.
Excellent 9.6
Iit was exciting
Okay 4.0
I can’t believe how you pay for half board and dinner time , they charge you for a water , I’m not saying I can’t afford for it but I don’t find it good to charge clients for half board for a drinking water surely, plus evening coffee this goes for only inclusive so be ready if you ain’t paid for it you gonna be charged later: the pool was amazing thou
Excellent 10.0
I went to Ukunda for holiday. From the welcome with coconut milk drink to the meals served and room service, it was excellent. the hotel staff are very attentive and courteous at all times. The food is decent and the spa will have you completely relaxed with their out of this world massages. The swimming pools are well designed and very clean. The rooms are clean with huge beds and good air conditioning. All rooms are designed to get a great view of the ocean or the beautiful swimming pools. The hotel is located along the white beaches of Ukunda/Diani with spectacular ocean views. It is safe to walk around without worry. Southern palms is easy to access by flight or road. The weather is really good and the Kenyan coastal hospitality evident. It is also very affordable for a hotel of its caliber! It was difficult for me to leave this hotel. Best holiday ever! Well, this hotel does not accept cash. You must have your credit card with you to settle all your bills.

Pros: great spot great pool great food what can i say
Cons: nothing all was good
Good 7.1
Pros: Very close to the ocean Many swimming pools with bars Very friendly and supportive staff Rooms cleaned well every day Food ok with many options
Cons: Very old rooms and toilets, they should be renovated The hotel Taxi price from hotel to Ukunda airport ( about 13km, 30 min) 35 to 40 $ is much too high and not realistic for local circumstances. I used different taxi (recommended by my company and much cheaper) Internet connection is very weak. I was there some days also for business and it’s almost impossible to work during some hours
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The breakfast was amazing African breakfast. Facilities was amazing. Full day activity. Staff were cooperative and friendly. Kids were busy all day enjoying the warm swimming pool. The hotel is beach front but unable to swim. if you want to swim by the beach you can walk a little bit and get an amazing shore.
Cons: Two comments: 1. The toilet seat and some accessories need to be replaced. 2. The rate we booked on booking.com was different than the actual rate in the hotel. Thus, we were forced to top up $35 for each night. I booked for two adults and two children (8 and 9) on booking.com. Accordingly, I booked a room with queen bed and one single bed. I then requested for additional bed for the 8 yrs old kid. the hotel agreed to give me additional bed with no extra cost. Even my confirmation said 2 adults/ 2 children. but when we arrived after a long trip, the hotel said they didn't consider kids on the cost. That was very unfair.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: The location and the beachfront was great. The animation team did a good job of organising activities throughout the day.
Cons: The rooms were terrible. Old, dilapidated. The bathroom doors were not shutting, basic furniture was broken, the fittings were dirty, broken and old.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Food, extensive pools, clean rooms, diverse restaurants and bars, excellent gardens. Friendly staff...
Cons: They claim booking.com messed my booking but eliminating my children and ended up booking an additional room for them. When I declined to pay for the additional room, they cancelled my booking.com reservations and booked me direct with their in-house rates which ended up costing me Kshs 7k more. They said to me that your booking engine is faulty. I felt robbed as I had done this booking a month ago and really looked up to some rest time. Other than that, our stay was excellent.
Good 6.7
Pros: The location, the rooms and cleanliness. They had spacious rooms, with balconies that face the pools or water
Cons: The staff here kiss up to white people too much. They will stop talking with you mid sentence if they see a Caucasian approach. They will actually go out of their way to help the Caucasian first, then come back to attend to you. The color coded bracelet for meal plans is useless if everytime you go to eat or get a drink you are pestered about your room number. The monkey's are aggressive and will still your food from the plate. There is a security guard who chases them down, but these Monkeys outsmart him. The entertainment staff, i heard one singing Kenya inchi nzuri"hakuna ebola" , which is insensitive at best! Can you imagine if there was a tourist from those Ebola prone places who have actually lost loved one's hearing this? The buffet is recycled food with a twist. You are not fooling anyone really.
Good 7.5
Pros: Beautiful location, in the middle of nowhere. Private beach. Swimmingpool 500 m long. Lots of monkeys :-) fun for tourists, less fun for locals. Very good lunch and dinner. All inclusive package good drinks. Service minded and friendly personnel.
Cons: Breakfast not up to standard! No butter, instead margarine. No bacon (maybe due to strong muslim area) although there are also beef alternatives. Sometimes no jam or marmelade. But if you don't need butter and bacon all was okay.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The swimming pool
Cons: massive pool
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and Courteous staff, Great location, Swimming pools, The beach, just awesome!
Cons: Amani Tiwi Resort is the place to visit any vacation day. All rooms with pool view, certain rooms has great ocean view. Clean beach area full of Sun, sand and fun!
Excellent 8.5
The hotel is located in South Coast, in a serene environment next to a private beach. The hotel rooms are very clean with superb room service and their food is impeccable. I stayed here for four days enjoying the hotel's gym and swimming pool facilities as well as other outdoor and board games like volleyball and darts. They also have evening entertainment from a group of acrobats and some live music. They could improve a little on their swimming pool and have it warmed up to swim at night. They should also have more hotel vehicles to ferry clients to and from town instead of using public means.

Pros: The area around safe and nice. Good for Kitesurfing
Cons: 1. do not take the taxi with the Hotel Assistance/ Manager. They charge us 160$ for transport from Mombasa to Hotel once average price is 100$ - 120$. The car they sent to pick up us has no proper working air condition so 2,5 hours sweating in 35C 2. no internet access in the room (we were in 744) 3. no hot water so every day you need to take the shower in cold 4. it is not possible to close the doors from toilet so hope you travel single 5. in the restaurant the average time to react in 30 minut if you are lucky and they do not forget what you order 6. if you order hot dog during lunch time they use to bring only sausage as they are out of roll 7. lack of water during breakfast 8. price for quality 3 out of 10
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Food was excellent. Service was awesome - Family oriented, and respected our privacy. Location in Diani was amazing. The work they put in on the End of Year Party was absolutely amazing - Phenomenal.
Cons: Our pool could have been cleaner or put through maintenance to thoroughly clean the pool tiles and walls to remove the accumulated stains.

Pros: Upon arrival, the receptionist let us know that we had a free upgrade to Neptune Paradise Hotel, so instead of Neptune Village we spent 4 nights in Paradise. The lobby was nice and clean, it was designed in a traditional arabic way with great sense of style, the garden was beautiful as well. The bar was great, the cocktails made out of local spirits were good and the local beer, the Tusker was also very good. The grilled seafood and meat were nice and fresh, but preparing them also made the service a little bit slow. Overall we experienced safety and exceptional attention on hygiene and sanitation. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: Unfortunately, "Paradise" doesn't describe the resort itself at all. We were quite disappointed after we were taken to our room. First, it really needs a proper renovation. Second, the room was small and dark, the furniture was very old and used and we just couldn't compare it to our first impressions at the lobby, we had a bad feeling that this hotel was definitely overpriced. The room looked like the room of an average 3star hotel. The temperature of water in the shower was not adjustable, it was very hot during the day, and very cold after sunset. The service at the restaurant was very slow, maybe because of the pandemic situation.

Pros: Meals were in the main dining room, fresh and airy. There was a variety of items available, although (due to very few guests the weekend we were there) it was not a full buffet. They just asked us to order off the menu on the one evening when there was no buffet.
Cons: Although it was very clean, the hotel had a bit of an aura of neglect, I suppose a consequence of not many travellers there because of the pandemic. The staff were friendly and helpful, but overall it seemed empty and a bit neglected.
