Situated by the sea, this hotel is 0.6 mi (0.9 km) from Venice Convention Center and within 3 mi (5 km) of St. Mark's Square and Bridge of Sighs. San Pietro di Castello and Naval History Museum are also within 3 mi (5 km).
The hotel is great and located outside the heavily filled tourist areas. This means not only quieter nights, but also saves money. The Lido area is a suburb to Venezia with more quiet neighborhoods, but also a strip of restaurants and shops on the main street. It is also the last stop of Venezia's bus system. You can take a car ferry to Lido if you have a rental car, but the hotel does not have designated parking. The staff were extremely helpful in navigating the area. Breakfast was typical for the area and the rooms were fairly spacious. The room we had included a small terrace overlooking the outdoor garden/breakfast area. The hotel did include wi-fi, but it was not free. You could buy a hour pass for 3 euros or a 24 hour pass for 7 euros.Pros: The staff was super helpful and the hotel was just far enough away from the loud/busy Venezia center, while still being close enough to the bus stop.Cons: The city hotel tax must be paid in cash upon leaving the hotel, but was expressed upon our arrival.
