Situated along the Grand Canal in Venice's Dorsoduro district, this luxury hotel is housed in the restored neo-gothic Palazzo Genovese, built in the late 1800s. The Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute is adjacent, and the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, La Fenice, and St. Mark's Square are within easy reach.
The hotel's restaurant, Antinoos Lounge, serves regional and international fare; patrons dine by views of the Grand Canal. Other highlights include a lounge (also with canal views), meeting facilities, a private pier, and a garden. Daily breakfast buffet at surcharge.
Rooms feature premium bedding, LCD TVs, and free wireless Internet access. Bathrooms include a combination shower/tub, bathrobes, makeup mirrors, and telephones. Turndown service is provided nightly. Decor is contemporary with antique accents.
Cons: the place is not five stars it s three stars.
The terrace is not covered so the birds take all your food, the bathrooms are tiny and the water spills all over, the internet slow.
Pros: The best hotel in Athens. We ended up eating both at the roof top Restaurant and Main follow breakfast room and had excellent food, service and views. Highly recommend!
Cons: Surrounding neighborhood wasn't very upscale
