I got to the counter and they demanded I either pay three times a day what I’d already paid to rent the car or leave a $900 deposit. Then when I refused to rent the car they refused to cancel the reservation. I will never rent from this company again.

Didnt go ahead with purchase, Avis staff was rude and tried to charge us £200 extra without telling us, on top of this he charged us almost 3 times the amount shown on your website

service was good no bs charges and took back the car in same condition without charging anything extra

Cons:

car was all scratched up and did not have all the things mentioned on the form so i had to call the guy again and tell him to write all the stuff

This office in Lisbon was staffed by really helpful and friendly guys, and the transaction was super smooth and easy and fast on both ends. The car was great and the price we got online was excellent. The only problem we had is I didn’t realize Portuguese law apparently requires rentals to be made in exact 24 hour periods, so we had to bring the car back earlier than we wanted or pay another day, which would cost more than the two days we booked in advance and didn’t really make sense.

Price is very very high with insurance, almost 90€ a day. That is a rip off I would say. I agreed to that as my time is valued more but id zi as more time I would pick up car from airport for half that price
