The room was comfortable with all the expected 5 star amenities. The location is brilliant with all the tourist spots within a 10 minute drive.

The restaurant downstairs is great, however quite pricey! Definitely recommend for an afternoon tea experience. The bar area is only open in the evening.

The building is amazing. She is really beautiful from the inside. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are so nice. They have a breakfast with enough choice to start your day. But the most important, you feel yourself welcome and the staff is so friendly and helpful. If I visit Budapest again we will definitely stay here again.

All staff were excellent. The attention to service could not be faulted, and everything was undertaken in a friendly and professional manner. We really liked the balcony area reserved for hotel guests in the café. Breakfast selection was excellent, and all food we ate was of a very high standard. Our room was spacious and there was attention to detail. For two female friends travelling together, it was amazing to have two separate dressing areas with enormous fitted wardrobes. No fighting over space or hangers. Beds were exceptionally comfortable, so nice to have good quality feather pillows. Location was good, with metro and buses within easy walking distance. The hop on hop off bus stops right outside. The New York Café is on most tourist "must see" lists. Decor is very grand and opulent, and the cafe is stunning. Although the food in the New York Cafe is very good, it has a fairly small entree menu, but you do dine on the balcony, which has lots of atmosphere. The hotel is priced at the higher end compared to many other hotels in Budapest, but it was well worth paying a bit more for such an comfortable and memorable stay, certainly for a first trip, and takes you back to the Grand Age of Budapest, but with all the modern comforts.

There was nothing which we were disappointed with regarding the hotel. Our only comment would be that there appears to be only a small choice of restaurants in the adjacent area if you want something close, other than the café, after a long day sightseeing. However, the hotel was able to make recommendations and bookings for us, and there are many restaurants within a 15/20 minute walk.

The architecture of the building was amazing. They really didn't care about using too much space when building this. It's huge.

The room turnover service. They came into my room a few times a day while I was trying to relax. Use the Do Not Disturb at all times when you're in the room.

Amazing breakfast in the stunning New York Palace Cafe. I stayed with my teenage daughter for three nights. We had breakfast each morning and found the choice of food far exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive and the surroundings are beautiful.
