Pros:

Actually my trip was cancelled by me and I didn't have any problem with Europecar.

Cons:

But I also had purchased an insurance policy by Alianz. Europecar reminded me to cancel insurance also but Alianz haven't replied to my requests. So I've lost money for insurance.

Cons:

No pick up at airport which had been arranged. Taxi to office at my expense. Car was not ready for 2 1/2 hours- meant we had to drive at night which I wanted to avoid. Male rep pointed to left rear tire then to the where the jack was located. Tire went flat as we got near our hotel first night. Jack was not fitted for the vehicle (which had 97,000, kilos on it. Also duct tape on running panels, both sides of car.) Returned the car early but office was closed despite the sign saying they were open from 3-7 pm We were there at 5 pm. Was charge $40 for the flat time despite extra insurance I bought. Would never rent from Europe car again.

Cons:

Insurance was offered, which we took, but later found out that it only covered 80 percent. Extra drive if not a spouse/ husband is extra $5 per day.

This has to be one of the worst car rental experiences in recent memory. I paid for extended insurance on Kayak when I initially rented the vehicle. When we got to Peru, we were informed that insurance did not cover the minimum requirements for rental. Along with our personal, travel and credit card insurance did not apply. We were then upcharged almost 2.5 times the initial cost of the rental. There are not many options in Cusco, go across the street to SIXT car rental. At every turn we were up charged. Even charge you to wash the car. Crazy waste of aggravation, time, and money.

It was horrible because we didn't got a car. We were 2 hours late (what we wrote them via email) and when we arrived they told us that the reservation is cancelled and the car is not available anymore. They tried to give is another car then which would cost us more then three times the price from the reservation. Absolute horrific situation and employees.
