Sooo, booking said unlimited mileage but in person I was surprised when the front desk lady said there’s a 200km limit. She was nice enough to make it 300km after I said I was under the impression it was unlimited. I was also surprised again by a $1,500 security deposit which was never mentioned when I booked. Also, I was forced to take the daily insurance. This booking was just full of surprises, not what I expected at all. Customer service was meh, they tried to help where they could but nothing over the top. Overall, I’d go else where next time for a rental.

Poor customer service. No detail information. Hiden charges. Not like other rental companies. Everything you have to read before you book.

The orginal price was 209$ and they end up charging 349$. Also, on the site, it's state 500$ deposit, and once on site, they want 1500$ deposit.Price is a scam. Make sure of what the customer will pay. Really a scam !

I scheduled my pick up at 8:00 since I was on a tight scheduled. John was helpful showed me the vehicle and did the walk-around with me. They also dropped me off at work which was fantastic.First off the $1500 hold is a bit excessive. The other thing is the scam with the unlimited mileage, don't advertise unlimited mileage if that is not the case knowing very well that once we have made the arrangements, the customer is at your mercy.

They advertised Unlimited Mileage but only had 300 kms per day. I had to argue to get more kms included which was ridiculous. Pickup was slow and drop-off as well they took their sweet time, so it was a slow process both times.

I never rent a car from them againNothingThey advertised "unlimited" mileage, which was not true. They didn't save a car that I have reserved. They told me that I cannot switch the name of renter to charge additional driver. They increased the amount of additional charge of a driver per day without approval. They offered me a car with full of scratches and missed two spots of damages if I didn't point out. I never rent a car from them again

The company staff was excellentPickup and dropoff was easy and smooth. The shuttle from the airport was excellent and staff was very friendly and helpful.the vehicle was next to new and very clean.I reserved a compact but none were available so I was given a jeep wrangler. The vehicle itself was next to new and very clean but was uncomfortable and was a beast on gas. I spent almost as much on gas for the 3 days I had it as I did for the rental. Would like if they had more compact cars available

Not the best Rental service for short term rentalsThe only good thing I can complement on Routes sevices was the receptionist I encountered with. No pick-up or drop-off is offer unless you're going to the YOW airport. The vehicle that I had smelled like smoke but yet they indicated no smoking in their vehicles. I'm a non-smoker so I was bothered by this. The price quote from kayak.com was different from what was presented at their office during pick-up and I their policy is to make a $1000 deposit which I found was outrageous for a two days car rental. I inquired about the discrepancies between the car rental price on kayak.com and in their system. To make the long story short, I ended up getting the price quote on kayak.com. I don't think I use their services again in the future. I'm still waiting for my deposit to be returned to my credit card.No pick-up or drop-off offered, $1000 deposit for a two days rental, and the vehicle had a cigarette smell in it.

poor communication and servicenothingThe order confirmation said the location would be open until 11:30pm. They weren't and instead closed at 10pm. I was left stranded at the airport without a car. I had to take a taxi to my hotel. The next morning, I had to demand they pick me up and bring me to the location (which they did, but on their schedule, not mine.) Once I finally got to the rental counter, although I was able to PAY the FINAL bill with a debit card, I could not rent (credit card hold) with a debit card. They wanted a $500 (!) hold in order to rent a $90 car rental. I couldn't use my debit cards, so I asked to split the $500 across 2 credit cards. They couldn't do that either (not sure if it was incompetence or policy). I left without renting a car, angry, frustrated and going to their competitor.)
