Location is right in the heart of the action in the River North area. Dozens of great restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel. A few blocks from the “L”. At the hotel: friendly staff, chic decor, great music, nice restaurant, cool rooftop lounge, coffee in the room via a keurig, plush robes and slippers, comfortable bed, great view. Workout facilities and luxury spa on site. JQuiet hotel. Best hotel in Chicago I’ve stayed at.

Nothing could have been improved. I am completely satisfied with our stay. A helpful tip would be to bring a shower cap to protect your hair with the rain forest shower design.

The architecture was the primary reason I choose the Dana hotel.

I could hear a party going on in the room across the hallway, obviously very annoying at 10:30pm when i'm trying to sleep. When I complained the desk staff responded by telling me the noise complaint policy and that it may take a while for them to deal with the noise since the "partiers" have rights too. They weren't apologizing and they treated me like I was being difficult. What is difficult about expecting a hotel room to be place suitable for sleep? It took them over 15 minutes and 2 trips to the lobby to make things right but only after the concierge stepped in to offer an apology and an upgraded room away from the noise. He was the only one that appeared to have any hospitality training. They should hire more employees like him. Ultimately Chicago has so many hotel options, I can't see a reason to stay at Dana again.

About

Overview

Dana Hotel and Spa is an artistic boutique hotel located in the heart of River North district of Chicago. The name Dana, is Sanskrit, meaning “pleasure of giving” and giving pleasure, to its guests- is what Dana Hotel and Spa, is after.

Guests wishing to stay at Dana will experience rooms that reflect an upscale urban atmosphere. And most all the rooms come with floor to ceiling windows, and balconies- boasting tantalizing views of the city. The design mixes raw material, like exposed concrete ceilings with the natural material, of wooden floors and natural color pallet. This mixed flare and vibe add to the already noticeable artistic feel, from lobby to roof.

Rooms come in a variety of sizes and bed options, from comfy kings to tranquil suites. Room amenities include 24-hour room service, in-room tablets, complimentary turndown upon request, private wine bar reserves and honor bar, Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin High Fidelity sound systems, custom yoga mats, luxurious bathrobes, slippers, and bedding. Other amenities include concierge services, complimentary wireless high-speed Internet, valet parking, custom car services, 24-hour fitness center, pet-friendly.

Guests can wine and dine at the critically acclaimed Portsmith restaurant, which features eloquently crafted seafood and artful desserts by Chefs Nate Henssler and Chris Teixeira. The award-winning restaurant is highly recommended to guests during and given 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor. It is located on the main floor of the hotel and serves guests and the outside public. Also to note, there are two lounges offered...One located on the roof and the other on the ground floor. Apogee Lounge brings you imaginative and eclectic cocktails, in a swank and relaxed environment, on the rooftop, nonetheless. Leviathan Lounge offers one-of-a-kind cocktails inspired by the creatures for which it’s named... that dwell in the depths of the ocean. The cocktails are creative, fun, and very unique.

The ‘Spa at Dana’ offers luxury at its finest. It’s a spa that has been featured in the likes of Allure magazine and has excellent ratings on Tripadvisor, as well. Perks of the spa include natural and therapeutic services from head to toe. And new spa features include Himalayan salt walls in the saunas, chromotherapy shower heads with self-selecting colors to match guest’s energy, customized facials, aromatherapy massage, waxing, and more. Other spa treatments include a vast array of massages, facials, skin care, and nail care.

Meetings, weddings, and events are also a huge part of staying at Dana Hotel and Spa. Centrally located in downtown Chicago’s River North district makes it a great place to hold meetings and events. There are three main spaces to accommodate larger-parties and guests. Rooms include Aspire- a 1,200 sq ft multi-purpose room that seats up to 120 people and can be divided into two separate rooms. Invent- a room that can be transformed into an office, meeting space, boardroom and more. It fits up to 12 people. And Create- a multipurpose room ready to be transformed into anything, which seats up to 50 people.

Guests will find so much creative energy in this one-of-a-kind hotel. It’s location, room perks, dining options, and entertainment make it a great choice for anybody visiting the Chicago area.
