They had the best price compared to other companies for a one-way rental. I was able to choose from 4 different vehicles, and the Nissan Sentra I chose was awesome.The pickup experience was lacking, as there weren’t enough people working and the employees seemed frustrated.

Good service. But renting from Enterprise always seems like a process. Great for "neighborhood" renting if you need a car for the day. I'd never use at an airport, National/Avis/Hertz for that.

The person attention was good. On the negative side, Enterprise had terrible and conflicting signage at Midway airport. You have to use the signs for National because in several places there are no Enterprise signs or they direct you to the wrong floor. Also, we had a malfunction warning light go off in the car within 50 miles of starting to drive our Nissan (the light was cryptic, but using the owner's manual, we figured out that it may have something to do with the automatic breaking system-- but nothing about how serious it was or how to fix it). The malfunction warning light then stayed on for the entire rest of the rental, which made us worry, although the car drove fine.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Pick up and drop off we’re smooth. There was some trash in the car, under the seats, water bottle and receipts, so they could do better on cleanliness. Overall, a good experience!

The minivan was not in good shape! There was a problem with the front end which made steering and handling difficult, especially at high speed. The "change oil" light came on halfway through the trip which was disconcerting. When we reported this to the clerk upon returning he seemed unconcerned and said they would check it out but offered no type of compensation. After all of that, we were charged a fuel surcharge because we didn't fill the tank "enough" although it was not full when we picked it up. I thought that to be petty considering the problems we had. In summation, I was not pleased with this particular Enterprise or their customer service.

The car was nice aside from scratch marks on the ceiling (I'm serious) and screeching tiresIt was an absolutely terrible experience. I arrived on time and as I arrived was getting a phone call from the facility. They informed me when I walked in that they were calling bc they didn't have a car (I've had this reservation for over a week) and that it would be two hours. That is unacceptable. I booked a car and I had somewhere to be. They then said two other people were waiting too but they would put me ahead of two other customers if I agreed to an upcharge for a more expensive car that was being sent there. I said I didn't feel I should be charged for to accommodate their error but they said they were doing me a favor by putting me ahead of the two other people. What a terrible way to run a business. I agreed but after some push back, again I had somewhere to be. It still took 30 minutes for that car to get there. While we waiting the same person and another employee were making fun of customers calling in on the phone because they thought their questions were stupid. There did not seem to be an sense of urgency about being so behind or anything being done to help the customers who are paying them good money. While waiting they provided me my updated quote. It was as I expected and planned for. We went through the ID stuff etc. Finally the car arrives and I go to pay and they let me know it's the amount they said PLUS a security hold of $300. I put money aside specifically for this and no where, including our 30+ waiting time, were we told about a security hold. I didn't have enough money on my card to do this. My partner, who was with me, then had to go in and do the Driver's licence etc all over again so we could finally get going. Honestly I want all of my money back. It was absolutely ridiculous. I am a customer support manager and if an employee or my company dealt this way I would be embarrassed.

Needed a car that night after a cancelled flight. Was returning the car the following morning. Was gouged for $330 for the lowest level option. Believed there were zero other options available so took it. Got to the lot and there were hundreds of cars, at 7pm on a Friday night. The O'Hare rental car facility was great.

Nice car and very clean. Drop off was easyPrice with add ons is ridiculous Pick up was horrible at Midway desk with only two agents working neither of whom was trying very hard to move the line. I was only 4 people back and had to wait 45 minutes to get to the counter.

Pickup was confusing as avis had no one at the desks, ghost town. Drop off was simple.Vehicle had broken glass under the seats and on floor mats at pickup, must've had broken windows previously?? 6 hour drive sounded like driving with the windows open, very loud and interior was not clean even though avis put a sticker on the dash starting vehicle was. Clean/sanitize from top to bottom....

No the staff was rude the lady tried to get me to down grade for the same price and when I told her I chose one of the most expensive categories she got upset and said we’ll wait 45 mins till a car is readyThey charged hidden fees that weren’t really put out there.

I was there with a price I paid for the car with insurance included and some how was charged double with no explanation before I left. Waited in line for an hour. You could have more staff working in the front counter and your bill should be explained.

They had no cars. 9pm in Chicago with a 2 hour drive ahead, and I had no car. Told me to wait and they call when ready and the never called. This should regulated with penalties. How can you take a reservation and not have cars. Horrible

Easy to pick up the vehicle, and just as easy to return it to the airport rental location. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Love the ability to plug my phone in and have it automatically connected to the GPS for directions to the places I needed to go. The Chevy Spark has good pick up, which I was a little concerned about since I knew I would be getting on and off interstates, but this little car was up to the task and did great throughout the entire trip. I really recommend Dollar Car Rental for both value and ease of check-in and return.

I was charged $196 to rent a vehicle for one day after my flight was canceled. I was charged to $500 security deposit. I did not get my security deposit back they have charged me $339 to rent a car for one day I had the car in my possession for six hours. I am very upset

Reserved a car and prepaid for it. Went to pick it up Friday afternoon at Chicago Midway Airport and there were no cars available. No communication, they just told you to wait and they will call you. 13 people ahead of me were waiting for over an hour they. After an hour of this I gave up and cancelled my reservation. No apology, no information as to how to get a credit back.

We were charged a full 3rd day (including all taxes, etc.) for returning the car 53 minutes after the 48 hour mark. Company policy, per customer service is a 29 minute grace period. Not to mention that the final price ended up being almost 2.5x the original cost, costing hundreds of dollars more. None of this was clear until having to contact customer service after a huge, unexpected credit card charge. Embarrassing to run your business this way, and embarrassing to have fallen for it. Should've paid more attention to the terrible reviews before us.

The first car we were given had a problem with the admissions system. The second car was NOT a full-sized car. This car had a very detectable cigarette smoke odor. We finally left the rental car facility an hour after we arrived, and the car had to be returned an hour early because our rental day began when we were given the ticket for the first car. If we were even 5 minutes late we were told we would be charged for another whole day’s rental fee. The staff was not particularly courteous or professional with the exception of the young woman who checked us in at the rental drop off. This car was rented at Midway Airport in Chicago. We will not rent from Avis / Budget again.

We arrived on time. There was some confusion about the reservation time and when the car would be ready. Then the supervisor threw a tantrum and said they were refusing the rental because they have the right to refuse rentals to anyone. We won't use Thrifty again.

Pick-up at O'Hare horrendous. Very bad shuttle buses, long lines, vulgar personnel. Car dirty and unsafe to drive. Three calls to Emergency roadside. Finally after an hour total on hold got replacement car.

I was never able to get my car!!!!! They wouldn’t accept my card and they didn’t mention that they don’t accept certain cards until I got there. I was thankful to have friends in the area I was traveling. I had a friend drive 2 and half hours for them to tell me YET AGAIN they don’t accept debt cards!!! Horrible service. I will never rent through Budge again. Made my whole travel experience stressful and again beyond stressful.

The vehicle was very nice plus a low price. Workers at hertz were very hospitable. Only thing could've been better was one tire was low on air and didn't have a cap.

When I picked up the car, the garage was very dark. I opened the rear passenger door and tossed in my carry on bag. When I drive out of the garage I could tell the front area looked dirty but at that point I was just ready to get to where I was going. Once at my destination I pulled out my bag and realized the car was never cleaned. The back seat was covered with cookie and cracker crumbs. The floor had gum, candy, cookie and other wrappers all over it. Not only was I disgusted but pissed! Since it was very obvious that the car was never cleaned, it’s safe to assume it also was never sanitized!!!!

Signage at OHare could start sooner on 90. I had to go through "departures" didn't see signage for rental car drop off; drove through again, going to "arrivals" and then saw signage. Excellent signage after that. If I hadn't asked what the final charge would be, I would have paid an additional $57 for gas. The attendant at the parking garage was very helpful, and we got that worked out. Driver of the shuttle was so kind and friendly and helped everyone with their luggage. Wonderful frequency of shuttles; no waiting in the cold.

When we arrived at the payless counter at ORD (with 2 tired kids in tow) we were informed the *Single* agent working there was on a lunch break at 2pm and would be back in 35 min. I asked someone to go get him as we could not wait 35 min and there was also a line of customers behind us waiting to check in at payless. He begrudgingly returned to his post to process our rental, with full attitude, and also was saying he would not help anyone else behind us in line (which upset everyone behind us). Not a good experience. hire more people at ORD--it's a huge airport!

I was charged twice for the renal car. Once when I reserved through Kayak and a second time when I picked up. They said Priceline or Kayak had not yet made the deposit so I therefore had to pay again. I have now not only been charged twice but charged more the second time. I was also told I would not be refunded once the deposit was made, I had to go through Priceline customer service. I have done that but the e-ail address I was given to submit my receipt of payment bounced back. Horrible customer service and I will likely need to do a charge back on my credit card.

Customer service was not at kiosk upon arrival. They put an "out to lunch" sign out and left everyone in line to wait for their return. When they came back, they were dismissive, argumentative, and would not even consider any service recovery or talk of vehicle upgrades. The car was difficult to find in the parking structure and the vehicle was dirty. Did not want to go back and try to get another vehicle...so just left with it.

Almost everything was fantastic. Customer service was timely and pleasant...there were only two of us in line, but there was no effort to put me off. Drop-off was easy and also quick. No receipt provided at drop-off, told I would receive via email. I filled the car with gas before turn-in...haven’t seen the receipt yet, but do hope I wasn’t charged for gas as that appears to be a problem for some.Getting the email receipt for the car rental facility is far from timely. When traveling for business in particular this receipt is critical for expense reports and a delay in the receipt costs money in disbursement lag, AND is frustrating. For this reason alone, I would generally rate lower, but the rest of the service and the car itself was really very good.

Flawless experience from start to finish! Knowledgable and capable front desk employees who politely (and successfully) strived to help. When I asked one of the vehicle cleaning crew for a paper towel to wipe the water droplets from from the mirrors of my freshly washed car, instead he gently insisted on wiping down the mirrors and windows for me! Vehicle was clean, in new condition, and a joy to drive. Return was lightning fast. I will be back to this location the next time I need a vehicle rental! Thank you Hertz!

Was horrible. Had to wait in line for and hour only to find out they didn’t have the vehicle that I had already paid for. Was traveling with my elderly father-in-law who requires a certain size SUV to be able to get in and out of comfortably. They offered nothing to help out with the situation. Was forced to use Alamo next door, who provided great service and had me in the vehicle I needed in less then 15 min

It’s tiring having a jerk try and charge you insurance without saying anything, then he acts like I’m taking a huge risk not buying $200 worth of Thrifty insurance. I have my own insurance coverage. I’m sure he gets away with it a lot as tired travelers just want to get into a car and go. I think of them as “Thefty” not Thrifty. But the car was fine. I will likely avoid them in the future unless I see a really really great rate.

Never completed my rental. Got to the rental car desk in Chicago (ORD), and the line was 30 deep with only 2 attendants working. Went to National instead and got out of the parking lot in ~5 minutes.

Multiple patrons and myself were denied cars despite having confirmed rentals and being in line before the rental location closed, which resulted in me having to book a hotel room for a night costing me over $100 because Thrifty refused to give us a car until the next morning even though our rental confirmed starting that evening. If they refuse to serve within 30 minutes of their closing time, then that needs to be clearly stated at time of reservation and reservations should not be allowed to be booked.

My decision to rent was made at the last minute. I was able to make my reservation online on my phone while I was standing in line. The price was, I thought, good, $202 for a compact car for 2 days. Unfortunately, despite there being numerous Thrifty rental sites, I was required to return the car at the same location (O'Hare airport), which was not convenient. After 20 minutes in line, the rental process was relatively quick. I was told that my car would be ready in 30 minutes. After 45 minutes, my car was not ready. I got back in line to talk with one of the agents. While in line, a rather upset woman skipped the queue and went right up to the counter. It wasn't hard to overhear her part of the conversation: She had been waiting an hour and 20 minutes and still no car. She walked away, obviously not satisfied. After another 20 minutes in line, I spoke with an agent who said my request for a car hadn't yet been entered and that it would be another 30 minutes before my car was ready. I spoke to another agent, who I believed to be the supervisor, who said the cars were not being returned as fast as they were being reserved (in other words, they were renting cars that they didn't have). He told me there were 3 other customers ahead of me and he couldn't tell me how much longer the wait would be. I proposed telling the people behind me in line that they were being promised cars that weren't available, and he said, "I can't stop you. You'd be doing me a favor." I cancelled the reservation online and took an Uber to my destination. While eating lunch at a restaurant, I received a call from a Thrifty agent 45 minutes later to let me know that my car was ready, unaware that I had cancelled the reservation. This is my first attempt in 20 years to rent a car, so I don't know if this is common.

Thrifty sold us a Sedan but were out of Sedans when we got there. We had to upgrade to a large SUV and pay more $ or wait an hour for a Sedan to arrive. We also ordered, and paid for an EZ PASS that was invalid. So not only did we pay for the EZ PASS, we also paid for tolls the entire way back which was upwards for $100. When I called Thrifty, they said they would remove the EZ PASS charge which never happened. And if they didn't, I had to wait for my final bill then call. It's not even worth the time. The Cars we're cheaper than most other rentals, but I can now see why.

In a time when it was really tough to find a rental car, Thrifty came through big time. Everyone was really easy to deal with and the car itself was exactly what we needed and didn’t feel over charged. Definitely got our money’s worth!

Classic bait and switch. They offer the lowest price on-line, but when you go to pick up your car, they have NONE at the category chosen. You have a choice: wait for a car to come in - I was told maybe 2 hours (and this was already after a 35 minute wait in line) or pay $10 more/day for next level up. And when the folks in line behind me don't have their mid-size car, guess what...they got to pay for the SUV. What a racket! And they simply wash the cars and turn 'em around to the next person. 15 miles down the round, a maintenance sensor went off - and went off every day. Return of car was a joke. Nobody with an electronic scanner to confirm that car was returned on time. I told the guy about the sensor - he said not to worry - it will be checked by the mechanics before it goes out again. Yes, that's probably what the last customer was told as well. Never got an itemized receipt. Cost was $150 more than expected. A reservation means nothing. They should be paying the customer because they don't have the product ordered. SCAM!

Pick up was easy as all rental buses go to the same off airport building. Rental counter staff did not try to push extras, except for toll package as all tolls in Chicago area require IPASS per counter staff member…..this was not exactly true as you can pay on line within 14 days per toll signs. So we paid an extra $30. To FOX and only went thru 2 toll booths which would have cost a total of $2.00 vs her charging us $30…….that was our only complaint. Return was easy with nice staff.

Not Fox's fault but, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler design is to have the car shut off when you come to a complete stop(such as a traffic light). It would restart as soon as you took your foot off the brake. It was very annoying, as well as excessive wear on the cars starter I assume. Other wise everything went extremely well with Fox Rent A Car. I've been using them for years and have yet to have any negative experiances.

Jasmine (Manager), Jeremiah (Pick Up Attendant) & San..(Drop Off Attendant). All were pleasant, professional & very helpful! Thumbs up!! Expedited my travel needs despite the high demand I was treated as if I was the only one present! They were all smiles and more than happy to help. Exceeded my expectations especially during the pandemic!

The only thing I liked was I was able to get a car. Everything could have been better. The car I got needed new windshield wipers. I replaced that myself. The car ran like it was 10 years old. The car had a bad smell.

We stood in line for close to 20-30 minutes while some guy talked on the phone in front of the desk clerk. I went to the counter and asked if the guy could just step aside for a minute to allow us to pick up our car and the guy on the phone and the counter clerk acted like they didn't hear me. We went over to pay-less to rent a car and by the time we had our car the guy was till talking on the phone on and your counter clerk was just standing there. sheesh. Never again will I use Fox.

National didn't have my SUV available nor would they rent a car to me since I was local and not a distant traveler and booked on the same day. Why did they give the option on the website that a car was available? Wasted my time on Christmas day.

The staff was happy to see and serve me. Good customer service.Even though I called ahead, there were no full-sized trucks on the lot when I arrived. They had to get one from some auxiliary lot and drive it in for me. The truck they grabbed had not been properly cleaned - filthy steering wheels and side windows so dirty that I could not see the side mirrors. National made up for this by giving me a free day of rent (refund), and a deep apology from the management. So I will try them again next time.

Way too much confusion trying to locate a car in the class I had reserved (luxury). 5 different people asked if we needed help (we did) but none delivered. After much delay, we got a car that was just cleaned and we’re on our way. Not a very good showing.

Great staff and drop offThe car's gas tank was really weird, the pump kept stopping abruptly as if it were full even though it was at half a tank. i think i managed to fill it up all the way though

The staff was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable.We did have a bit of a wait before a second staff member came out, but he was apologetic and very professional. He even provided us a free upgrade. The price of the rental was high, but I also booked last minute and it seems that all rental prices are very high right now.

The pick up was close by but I didnt realize it would not be at the airport. The sign is super small and if your not looking for it you would miss the pick up spot. Our group waited over 30 minutes before they finally picked us up.

A good initial price, but was then increased when they forced me to buy insurance before I could get the keys. The vehicle was in excellent shape and clean.The pickup experience was very frustrating and I will not use this company again.

The car’s front end rattled the whole time. Alignment was off pulling to the right. Drivers door made a rattle like a can of beans the whole time we drove over 60mph. The car was dirty when we received it and had over 10 chips in the windshield. Worst rental I’ve ever had.

The car was ready when I arrivedI was charged more than what my quoted price was, costing me nearly $100 more than anticipated. Car had a broken rear windshield, no ice scraper, and a slow tire leak in the middle of winter.

One lady was super helpful and nice, the rest of the staff I interacted with seemed like they hated everything. The second van I received was in excellent condition on the inside, though dented on the outside.Ended up being about 25% more than the quoted reservation cost with no explanation given. Inconvenient pickup/drop off location, at least for transit/walking. Took a very long time to pickup and drop off despite being the only customer there. First van they were going to give me was FULL of trash in the back. Second one was fine. Otherwise rude staff. put a huge hold on your card, mileage limit for IL residents - they do tell you this upfront when you’re there but it’s a bit sneaky if you’re reserving through a third party site like this. Some other stuff I can’t even think of right now cuz I’m trying to push the whole ordeal out of my head. It was pretty darn cheap though.

We thought we were getting a great deal on a car rental for two weeks. When we arrived at the business to pick up our car, we were charged over $120 more than our initial payment. The reason was (at first) that they had to come and pick us up from the airport. When we pressed into why, the next reason they gave us was because we should have reserved the car through a third party like Expedia. Which we did-through Kayak. The NEXT reason they gave us for charging us so much more was that we came through the airport. Which made zero sense because that's where I filled all the information out at the time of making the reservation. We then asked to see the manager and someone else came out to talk to us. When we asked the woman if she was the manager she said, "well, kind of, but not really, I just help the manager." We then asked again to see the manager. She went back to get him and came back to us and said the manager refused to see us and would not come out front. We then cancelled our reservation. As we were trying to find an Uber to get to another car rental location, another customer was going through the same run around and was being charged over $100 than what all her paperwork said. We call this unethical and bad business and will never recommend this company.

I reserved a car to pick up at the O'Hare airport and was told my pick up was for Midway airport so I was left to rent from a different company and paid twice the price.

nothing. THis was the worst rental company ever. Do not rent from them ever.The company charged me more than the rate I booked through Kayak and refused to honor the rate. Also, they said they have a policy that limits people who rent cars from the same state as them to 350 miles per day vs. unlimited, which is what I booked in my contract. The whole "bait and switch" thing was shady and probably illegal. Also, when I got the car home and started loading stuff into it, I realized the car had never been cleaned. There were food crumbs all over the third row, with dirty napkins and drink cups. The irony is that they made me initial something saying that if I smoked or had a pet in the car, I would need to pay $199 for cleaning but they don't even clean out the cars in between customers. I had to vacuum the car myself before going on my trip.

This is an unethical company. They did not honor their written rental confirmation and left me stranded without a rental car at Midway Airport, and nearly every other car rental company was without vehicles. They provided no justification for failing to live up to their written commitment. Avoid this company!

The car that wasn't there"Reserved" online. It was not made clear that the company was offsite or that a credit card number was necessary to hold the car. Our flight arrived nearly 2 hours late. We took the shuttle to the rental counter only to realize Economy was in a different location. Called both the local number and the toll-free number and got no answer. By the time my phone calls caught up with me it was 12:30 am and the message was that they would hold the car until 10:00. So now we were stuck at Midway. Luckily we were able to rent anothe car but had to cram 6 adults with luggage into 1 car instead of 2 and had to pay a premium price. I would not use Economy again.

The employees of the company are friendly and helpful. The car was new and comfortable.The company has a hidden "mandatory" roadside assistance fee of $100. It is NOT printed on any of the paperwork, nor or is there a notification when making the reservation on Kayak. It doubled the price of my rental, but there was 0 communication upfont. I reserve thru Kayak all the time and expect they would be disappointed in the hidden costs as well.

They didn't have a car for me on Thanksgiving!!Nothing.Worst company ever. Told me they gave out all of their cars the night before thanksgiving and they didn't have any car to give me for my reservation. Had to rent from Avis for $260.00 for 1 day when my reservation with Economy was for $70.00
