Pros (+) The property has an amazing location with great views and very well maintained. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and we found the hotel easy to navigate.
Cons (-) We enjoyed the pool although we wish there was an adult only pool to be a little more quiet. The resort fee was $55/night and parking was $60/night, so the additional fee of $115 per night was a shock. When we booked our trip, it showed we were paying the resort fee (it listed resort fees as a separate line in what we were getting charged) but apparently there are additional hidden fees so beware!...

I booked a room though though getaroom and called Monarch hotel to confirm the reservation after they informed me that there was never a reservation for me and that they don’t even work with 3rd parties... Cons (-) The only good restaurant was closed for a private party and there was only one other option for dinner. The food was not very good and way over priced. The advertise tacos available at the pool when in fact there are no tacos at the pool.

Cons (-) I think the hotel is nice, but the miraval spa portion is very expensive with not many options. i had hoped it would have more classes, and be a bit spa like. Also, the website had a third night free deal, but they just increased the prices on the first two nights. It felt like false advertising.

Pros (+) Beautiful hotel. Nicely renovated.
Cons (-) Service was ok. Miss the service touches from the St. Regis. Seemed understaffed at front desk. Breakfast at Aveo restaurant overpriced and ok, not wow. Was offered a 'flash sale' upgrade at check in which felt awkward for a luxury hotel.
