The shower had great water pressure, reasonable amount of room in the junior suite, beds were very comfortable and room was very comfortable overall. Nice staff - all of them were very kind especially the cleaning folks. Very convenient location- we were close to everything important which was awesome!
Room overlooked an empty lot- definitely not scenic One pool is at the level of the sidewalk and feels very exposed to passerby. The other bigger pool is a bit better but not terribly private. Other guests were super loud all night every night we were there (4 nights)- banging doors, singing til midnight. We couldn't keep the do not disturb sign on our door as it kept getting blown off. The valet parking folks were truly lovely and professional, however, the parking lot is super tight and creates a difficult situation for the valets. Our rental car ended up with the window broken due to getting broken during backing up due to this challenging parking set up (the valet manager dealt with it perfectly and professionally) - I do not blame the valets for the damage, I think that Marriott created a terrible parking set up that makes it impossible for the valets to do their job without incident and I'm glad the valets have good managers who can address the situation rapidly even at 11pm at night. It rained the whole time and it was difficult to get the room feeling and smelling dry.
Location was great.

Nice Hotel in a good location
The hotel is in a great location near shops and plenty of restaurants. The pool area is nice and they have a small bar and chairs facing the pool. The feeling is very laid back and the property is well kept. The valets were friendly and quick to get your car. The staff was very welcoming and helped with anything that might be needed. I was traveling for business but I was able to bring my wife and young son.
The hotel is aging but the rooms are well kept. If you stay in the main tower, the street noise is loud, but the staff warns you of this beforehand. The valet parking of $42 a night is expensive if this was a vacation stay, but since it was for business it wasn't a problem.
Itchy
The building looks clean, the staff is friendly
Your hotel has fleas... I went all day with not a bug bite outside... I sleep one night and I woke up with three bites on my body. Thought it was from being outside... no... came back the next night. Showered up, made sure there were no no bites. Went to sleep... I woke up with 5.. FIVE... new bug bites. Last night I kept waking up to itchiness and bites. You guys have fleas... I worked in pest control for a while, its not bed bugs, not spiders, not from anything outside... its in your rooms. Please address this IMMEDIATELY.
Not a "Mainland" stay
I had no serious problem with my stay. It was always clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I found the valet parking was very well handled. It didn't matter how often you were coming in, or going out, the service was excellent. The hotel location was a little strangely placed, but that seemed to be Waikiki. It was centrally, and easily, gotten to.
I had reserved a room with two beds and a pull-out sofa, When I got to the room, midnight-ish, we had to call down to the desk and ask that the sofabed be made it. We were advised that it would be "extra" to have done. Also, the room was reserved for 3 adults. There were never 3 full sets of towels. They had to be asked for. Lastly, I am a Marriott rewards customer. I have used the Courtyards all over the states. I found this one to be in offset, older building. The room was nice but nothing was attractive. Everything was squeezed into a small placed. You get two grown men, of 6'7" stature, around the room with 3 beds. Hmph!
In the hub of Waikiki
We enjoyed the friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms & restaurants near by. The staff always greeted us with a smile and allowed us to have a late check out, however, they weren't able to extend to 2pm, but they held our bags from our checkout time until we left.
Rude staff
Valet staff was cool
Rude front desk...guy at check in was professional and courteous, but ladies at check out including the manager were rude and even hung up on me when inquiring about extending our stay! Checked out and went to Hilton Hawaiian Village for an additional 3 nights, and the level of care there was worth the additional we spwnt on activities and tips there. I would not recommend this hotel, sorry.
Deceptive and misleading with ongoing noisy constr
The location was okay and the second room I stayed in after asking to move because of the paper thin walls would have been okay if not for the extreme construction noise starting at 8am.
There was a complete lack of privacy and even without the construction there is so little sound proofing that it's like you're sharing the room with your neighbours. And the housekeeping staff is very noisy in the hallway early in the morning and throughout much of the day. The pool is small and gets little direct sunlight. If you decide to rent a car, parking is $35 a day plus tips. The staff plays dumb to complaints. And the housekeepers don't knock or call before walking into your room. There were a lot of disapointed guests during my stay. I would never recommend this hotel--even without the construction.
Currently undergoing renovations
Location
Dark bathroom. Paper thin walls. Construction sounds starting at 9am officially but unofficially started at 7:45am. This should be great when the renovations are complete. But until then I would look elsewhere.
Stayed one night after a week at a resort
The location is good. King bed was good. Microwave and fridge were helpful. The lobby was more impressive than the rooms. Staff was helpful.
The outdoor hallways for getting to the rooms are scary. The rooms are small for the price. Shower took a long time to get hot. Fold out couch bed not comfortable. Could use some plastic ware. Valet parking was the only choice and very expensive, but maybe that's the going rate in Waikiki. A/C on outer wall doesn't reach inner room unless door and blinds are left open. Bathroom needs a shelf for guests to place their toiletry bags.
Nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool is very nice and beautiful.
Bathroom is very small. Doors open right to the toilet. You can't even go thru. Very noisy outside all night long. Faucets in the bathroom and kitchen spray water all over the counter and its dripping on the floor. It is too expensive.
