The beds were very comfortable. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean and tidy. There was a secure feeling thanks to the concierge staff checking who was accessing the elevators to the rooms. The room was located next to the elevator shafts which meant quite a lot of humming noises at all hours which made sleep a bit difficult, but the staff offered a discounted rate for a late checkout time....

Many parts of the hotel are old and dated. Worn carpeting. Peeling paint. Dirty or rusted bathroom fixtures. Very small rooms.

The New Yorker was the perfect stay for us to see a concert at Madison square garden. The bed was comfortable and the room was small but clean. The tile in the shower needs some updating as it was stained but the shower was otherwise clean with good water pressure. Would definitely stay again

Location is absolutely fantastic! There’s one subway station just outside the hotel. Customer service was fantastic. I wish the bathroom was a little bigger.

Typical small New York room. Definitely in the older side and hasn’t been renovated in a while. Didn’t spend a lot of time there, though, so it was fine.

Cons (-) I thought i had a room with a view and when unchecked in, they told me I didn’t...but then they quickly upgraded me to a great room, with a view, a loveseat, a walk in closet etc. unfortunately, i was hardly there to take advantage of anything but staff was great and location was super convenient.
