I tried contacting Budget Port Hedland twice from the U.S., but the offshore Support team had no specialized information about Port Hedland requirements, nor could they contact Port Hedland Budget on my behalf. When I reached Perth, I called Budget Port Hedland. The representative said that I would need a 4WD vehicle to go to Karajini National Park, an upgrade from the SUV I had rented. She said that she would send me a quote for a 4WD vehicle. Five minutes later, she unilaterally canceled my reservation via email. Her unilateral action forced me to scramble and arrange for a 4WD with Avis when I reached Broome. It cost me US$300 more to do so. I do not appreciate the way that I was treated by Budget.
