Excellent 10.0
Pros: This Hotel is simply mindblowing! We did a 3 week roundtrip through Canada visiting both east and west and this was our second last stop before we had to return home to Germany. We stayed 3 nights and still wish we could have stayed longer. If you choose this hotel you will find the friendliest staff, incredible food as well as simply gorgeous rooms and probably don't want to leave anymore either. 312 out of 10! ;) Hope we can visit again some day.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Umbrellas available. Espresso coffee available always. Snacks always available. Helpful staff. Great location walking distance to everything
Cons: Bed was too soft and too much body depression. Noisy pipes at night. Kitchen noise early in morning.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel, the staff, the breakfast, all the small attentions and details were amazing! We will be coming back if were ever in Victoria again! Thank you again
Cons: Nothing, we were amazed by our experience.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Having to carry your own bags up two levels of stairs yourself with no elevator was not optional. Can't imagine an elderly couple staying here with a room upstairs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff, kitchen and dining staff are all excellent. This is a proper Inn, lovely library and easy and comfortable. The breakfast are absolutely outstanding. Zac and Hillary are excellent. Found a gem here.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Abigail’s offers a level of service and comfort rarely seen these days for the price value of the room.
Excellent 10.0
The rooms were spotless and the breakfasts was delicious. The central location made touring easy. Highly recommended. The staff were so welcoming and caring. The room we stayed in so beautiful. The location is well within walking distance to the inner-harbor of Victoria. We had a great stay. We stayed in this fabulous hotel, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The service during our stay was faultless. Every member of the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The care to detail exceeded our expectations in every way
Excellent 10.0
Our later remain at Abigail’s was a rampage spend for our to begin with visit to Victoria. We cherished everything around it. The room was open and delightfully beautified, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and the tub expansive and welcoming. Breakfasts were delightful and the evening appetizers were shifted and plentiful. I adored the blueberry biscuits and messaged a ask for the formula. It was sent to me and I can’t hold up to create them! All in all, Abigail’s is very conceivably the foremost comfortable and delightful put we have ever remained. I would too like to specify that we had booked a remain at Abigail’s final summer. Tragically, the day some time recently we were to take off for excursion, my spouse had an mischance coming about in numerous wounds that avoided us from traveling. Abigail’s discounted our store with no bother. I truly acknowledged this as I was managing with cancelling plans whereas my spouse was hospitalized. Gratefully this year’s excursion went off without a hitch.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. One of the best hotel I've stayed at. Their staff was very accommodating and always happy serving the guests. They were so professional, welcoming, friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts on the patio, and the afternoon snacks were excellent, with 4 different dishes to choose from. One of our favorite dishes was the cold melon and cucumber soup that so tasty and refreshing. It is also in a great location for walking to Victoria’s downtown and waterfront. The rooms were all charming and absolutely spotless. We have more to explore in Victoria and when we return we will definitely be staying here.

Excellent 8.5
We stayed here for one night. This is the first B&B either of us have stayed at. They were able to accommodate an early check in, which helped out. The room was nice and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but I already expected that from other reviews. The service was outstanding. The morning breakfast was also very good. The location was quiet and a healthy walk to downtown. It seemed a long walk to any of the restaurants of at least 15 minutes, so if you are looking to be a short walk to the action, you might consider other locations. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed it.
Excellent 10.0
Enjoyed staying at Abigail's. The Sunflower Room was very cute and comfortable. The employees were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a joy and delicious. Everything was clean and uncluttered. Internet access was a plus because my cell phone did not work in Canada and I was able to sift through important emails & contact family at home. Victoria was absolutely beautiful with flowers in full bloom and Abigail's exterior and landscaping was comparable to pictures in fairy tale books. The recommendations we received were met & more. I recommend this very pleasant 'fairy tale hotel' and I would like to return many times.
Excellent 8.5
They have truly exceptional staff during our stay. They were very helpful and nice in every way. We loved the lovely afternoon appetizers in the cozy sitting room and the fabulous breakfasts in a charming dining room. The room was well appointed, beautifully decorated with the best towels I have ever had in a hotel. The staff gave wonderful recommendations and activity guides. It was an awesomely relaxing stay. One of the best hotel experiences I ever had.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful ornate rooms and common areas, without feeling old fashioned. Clean and well kept. Service all around was top notch. Catered to our needs, friendly and communicative without being intrusive. Perfect! Location is fantastic, just minutes from downtown, parliament, the water, Cook St. Village and Dallas Road walkway.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice, the staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good and the afternoon snacks also.
Cons: Nope
Good 6.8
Pros: Great breakfast, helpful staff
Cons: Sink in room not in bathroom) had no space for anything.

Pros: Everything about this beautiful boutique hotel is impeccable; location, food, rooms and amenities, gym, spa and the staff who went above and beyond to meet our needs. Would rate this place at 10 stars. Will definitely be back.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
I'm a frequent visitor to Victoria (for business) and recently spent four days at the Magnolia. The warm welcome from the front desk staff confirmed I was in for a treat. I loved my room, windows on both sides, so I had a lot of lovely sunshine while working at the desk. The fireplace made my room cozy and homely (will definitely will ask for a room with fireplace again). It was an easy, leisure walk to all my appointment, and at the end of the day, the cocktails at the hotel restaurant was a delight. Yes I will be back!
Excellent 10.0
Rooms are gorgeous and super luxurious. Location is fantastic, a few short walking blocks from the central harbor. Continental breakfast is included and is really fantastic, not your typical continental. Magnolia Hotel is a bit pricey but is a great hotel. Didn't use the Aveda spa but heard it is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that this hotel decided to invest in its guests, rather than on a large impressive lobby that everyone just walks through anyways. Appreciated the bottled water and fresh fruit placed in our room each afternoon. All in all, a great hotel that makes you feel comfortable for choosing an alternative to the large hotel chains.
Excellent 10.0
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel!! The room was very nice and spacious with comfortable beds. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. We also somehow had turn-down service and would discover new chocolates and our beds turned down when we returned to our room later in the afternoon. Magnolia is also in a perfect location close to the water, shopping, restaurants, etc. We didn't take advantage but they have a spa too. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is well located with an easy walk to the harbor. Great place to see the fireworks on Canada Day. It is very comfortable and quiet and I would heartily recommend it to others. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent with great service, great food, and good wine selection. The front desk had a lot of great recommendations for local restaurants. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at hotel’s restaurant The Courtney. We’ve already recommended The Magnolia to our friends and family.
Excellent 10.0
Don't believe I have ever felt that a hotel stay was perfect, until our recent stay at the Magnolia. The hotel itself is lovely. The lobby is small, but welcoming, with beautiful fresh flower arrangements. There is also coffee and tea available all day, which was a pleasant touch after a chilly walk. Our room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and spotless. The bathroom was well appointed. The hotel has many things going for it, inviting surroundings and convenient location, but what really sets this hotel apart, is the amazing staff. Every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly, and helpful. This includes front desk, housekeeping, and food services. Special thanks to Peter and Maralyn, and especially Shane, His smile and helpful suggestions brightened our days. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
Excellent 10.0
It was for me only a business trip, so one night stay we had. Amazing interior of the perfectly decorated rooms. Huge bathroom with shower and bath tub facility. The Spa room was a dream come true. Breakfast also perfect with local products. Next stay, hopeful with my family. Regards Rooftop for dinner and functions would be a total delight!
Excellent 10.0
I loved the small size of the hotel (there are only 64 guest rooms) and the excellent location. Everything is within walking distance - the harbour waterfront, the Royal BC Museum, Imax theatre, dozens of great restaurants, and shopping. We didn't have a vehicle and found we didn't need one for most of our stay. The hotel has an arrangement with Budget (which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel) whereby guests get a 15% discount. The rooms are large and the bathroom is spacious. There is an extensive selection of quality toiletries provided, most of which are by L'Occitane. The mattress is on the soft side. The hotel restaurant is being gutted and renovated, so breakfast is provided in one of the meeting rooms. There is a good selection of breads and baked goods, hot oatmeal, cold cereals, whole fruit, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs. I happened to ask if any of the baked goods were gluten-free. None of them were, but that very day, after my enquiry, staff sourced gluten-free bread and purchased a dedicated toaster. I hadn't asked them to do this, so I was very touched to find they had gone out of their way to accommodate me. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return in the future. I made use of the gym. It is well equipped with an infrared sauna. One drawback is there is no pool or hot tub/whirlpool at this hotel. Also, we were woken up on the Friday night by the party goers. We were on the 2nd floor so it may not be an issue for higher floors and it is the party season so this may not have been a normal weekend. The other thing to take note of if you are staying for business is that they gave me the discounted rate however charged me extra for my spouse. I come to Victoria several times a year on business and this is actually the first time a hotel has charged for my spouse.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Rooms are nice, modern. Beds/bedding comfy. Big bathroom, tub. Front desk really helpful. I didn't hear noise from other guests, but it was mid-week, so that might be a factor. Turn down service.
Cons: Continental breakfast wasn't included.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, rooms, service.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, convenient. Heather texted me when the room was ready, and the check out process was so easy. We had a relaxing stay.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: very lovely room, full kitchen set up, property manager was clear and kind!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice studio apartment with a patio. In a good weather with an extended stay, this would have been an awesome stay. We really regret not being able to stay there longer, but do plan to come back. The free parking on the courtyard was a great benefit. The full kitchen is very useful if you plan to stay for longer period.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind that was particularly I didn't like. Off the experience, as this is our first time driving to Victoria from main land, we were not aware of the recommended ferry reservation. I wish the hotel would inform me about it earlier & I could save a few hours in our short stay by reserving the ferry early.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The apartment was super cute, very clean and perfect for our visit to Victoria.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location is so great. So close to the harbour, shops and restaurants. The Carriage house was clean, and bed was super comfortable. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jen is an amazing host. Without ever being intrusive, she is friendly and very helpful. The house is historic and lovely. If you don’t like squeaky floors and noisy door latches, there is a Marriott in town. If you like charm along with comfort and friendliness, this is your place. We loved the location - 10 minutes from downtown yet in a very quiet neighborhood. Breakfasts are outstanding. Each day Jen makes something different but delicious. The room and bathroom are cozy but comfy and perfectly clean. We will be back!
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean and comfortable historic house in a great neighbourhood. Only 10 minute walk to all the action in the Inner Harbour and to beautiful Beacon Hill Park. Nice to have free parking, though we walked everywhere. Good breakfast too, and a very nice host.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable room. Great breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great BnB. Great host. Great location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Place was very clean, washroom was across the hall but no issues. We had it to ourselves and the washroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and Jen was great. She recommended amazing places for the rest of our trip. Great host.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were treated to an exceptional breakfast. The house is beautiful, well kept and in a great location. The hostess is a wonderful person and we are looking forward staying there again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We had a great time staying here. The place itself is very beautiful and taken good care of. The host was very helpful and provided important information on places to see in Victoria. We were very happy with the breakfast and the location of the place - the legislative building is just 10 minutes walk away
Cons: Not applicable :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The home was lovely and our room was great. Very clean and homey. Jennifer was a great host and breakfast was delicious. The only inconvenience was having to take our shoes off when entering.
Cons: Having to take our shoes off when coming inside.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely house, good location, lovely big room, delicious breakfast
Cons: The bathroom could do with updating and the basement area could do with an upgrade (better microwave, tea and coffee facilities etc)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were helpful and accommodating--prepared a take-away breakfast when we had to leave very early to catch our Ferry. Enjoyed free sherry in the library in the afternoon--a nice touch. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: A tiny thing--bath tub overflow was so low could not fill the tub to a comfortable level.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was comfortable & clean . A wonderful experience . Breakfasts are always great and well presented . Staff are friendly and helpful . The inn is a great experience and a superb Victorian bed & breakfast
Cons: My stay was excellent and have zero complaints . Wish I could have stayed longer
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Atmosphere was incredible old style authentic looking building and furniture Bed was incredibly comfortable . Room was huge .parking was free that was good for Victoria Breakfasts were absolutely incredible and the young lady that served us was really especially attentive
Cons: The room was incredibly hot even after turning off the heat opening the windows 2 and left them open for our entire stay. Plus putting on a floor fan . We still could not sleep. Was disappointed with the tub it was very dangerous to get in and out of . Furniture at first glance looked antique but upon further inspection was plastic or particle board remakes. Room and common areas smelled really musky and at times like urine. which i noticed quite a few rat traps around pointing to a problem .Also a lot of racoon droppings outside around the house. Worst of all we got little sleep because of the heat. Will not be returning sadly .
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were super helpful. Breakfast was delicious - eggs Benedict with smoked salmon! comfortable bed, lovely fireplace. Great proximity to Beacon Hill park and downtown and Cook street village.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Pet friendly
Good 7.0
Pros: The restaurant vouchers for beer flight and truffles and the breakfast. Made the high price feel a bit justified.
Cons: I was disappointed with the advertised soaker tub. It was a basic bathtub with jets. I was disappointed that booking.com didn't have photos of the rooms that corresponded with the room number booked. We were also promised champagne as it was our anniversary and we did not receive any.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast and location were amazing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: What an amazing spot! I've always wanted to visit Spinnakers and can't believe haven't until now. Loved the special included extras (welcome flight of Spinnaker's beers & homemade chocolates at night in the pub and delicious full breakfast menu offerings in the morning brought to our room.) Our suite was so bright, spacious and comfy with ocean views all round.
Cons: No complaints at all :)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The breakfast was amazing, service was also amazing. Will be coming again soon
Cons: I was a little disappointed in the pictures shown to the room we got. There was not even a mini fridge or microwave. However the service and employees made up for that rather easily.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Fully enclosed yard for my two dogs! It's not always easy to have a staycation anywhere with dogs, so this was just fabulous. We had our own space, and they had their own space, lol 💓 Secondly, the bed! what a great bed, comfort deluxe 👍👍👍
Cons: The scones run out too quickly 😋😇
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Awesome place, we love it. Old heritage house with character. Staff are wonderful. Location is perfect. Food is wonderful too. Love the breakfast, the view, and when we couldn’t make breakfast times for medical reasons, they swapped for lunch with no problems. Our second, but definitely not our last visit.
Excellent 9.6
The staff welcomed us with hospitality that was exceptional! Clean rooms...food exceptional! Extras ...amazing breakfast....set in a quiet and serene scenic location! Can’t wait to return!

Good 7.0
Pros: The breakfast was the highlight of this stay, there were 5 hot breakfast items to choose from a la carte. As well as the jacuzzi tub in the room, we loved this feature. The electric fireplace kept our room warm and cozy for the night.
Cons: The room itself had a sink and a shower as well, all in the bedroom so that was a little weird. Parking was only available on the street, on the opposite side, this was a quiet concerning as we were hoping to get off street parking for added security.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, food service and facilities..all excellent!
Cons: No
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything was great! Wonderful staff in a really neat old character house. Breakfast was delicious!
Cons: My only complaint was the curfew on my tub. It was a spa tub though and sound travels through those kind of houses so I understood why
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great breakfast and very friendly staff!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was very delicious, beautifully prepared.
Cons: The main bed was up against the wondow seat, not moveable. If two people share it and have to get up in the night, it’s very difficult. Was surprised we weren’t asked for proof of vaccinations.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Parking is limited.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: hotel employee is a lovely and courteous host, and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Marketa is very nice The place very nice The location is excellent
Cons: I Had room with a transparent shower cabin buy I went with my 16 years boy. Is good for a couple.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast in the morning and the hot tub in the room.
Cons: The short window time to get breakfast. They don't accept AMEX as payment.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast is perfect, giving me the best beginning moment of each day of my stay. Staff are nice and friendly. Great location.
Cons: Sorry, I have nothing to complain.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Oswego Hotel is ideally located for a visit to Victoria - within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, museum, and BC Legislature buildings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had a kitchenette with all appliances, dishes etc, one could need. The room was very quiet, and away from any heavy traffic.
Cons: There were no negatives at all
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Perfect location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: central location, warm units with all the comforts of home (except in suite laundry) the 9th floor was beautiful! the staff were very friendly and pleasant.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: wonderful rooms with lots of light
Cons: restaurant not open every day
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was really good location and good service.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was perfect
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: it was sort of clean
Cons: I was told I would be getting a room with an ocean view (I did not). I was told our room had a jacuzzi tub (it did not). I would never go to this hotel again.
Good 7.0
Pros: Great location, parking was good. we didn't try the restaurant, no comment there. Room was very clean with a good view. checking in & out was very smooth.
Cons: The reception area was so small. Over all it was good
Excellent 10.0
I loved our stay at the Oswego. Rooms were super clean, spacious and access to kitchenette is invaluable. Hotel is located at the perfect spot in Victoria. Just off the main road and next to everything that is a must see. Looking forward to going back.
Excellent 8.4
We loved staying at the Oswego; we would go again and recommend others to do so as well. The room was great as well as the service. Because of COVID, they've suspended food services after 2pm and haven't really updated that on the website. Wish they had, because it was one of the selling points for us. Also, there were no blackout curtains in our room. So, if you're planning to rest, beware of East facing windows and a bed that might be right next to it. Bring an eye mask with you just in case. Overall, and all things considered, the staff was very friendly and absolutely helpful. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed and all of the furniture was super comfy, clean and well-kept. The hotel is beautiful and very well located; right in the middle between Downtown and the fisherman's wharf. Enjoy!
Okay 5.4
Cons: Room was not ready when we arrived , bedding ex sheets and duvet were horrible
Excellent 10.0
Pros: On the edge of the James Bay neighborhood, the Oswego is in walking distance to the Parliament, downtown, Chinatown and all the ferry and seaplane services in the inner harbor. Our family of four were very comfortable in the 1BR premium suite. The bistro is great for a cocktail with locals or a morning coffee. The concierge will hold your bags while you walk and shop if you’ve got a late clipper departure. We’ll be back!
Good 7.6
Parking was quite expensive. We had a small bite to eat on arrival which was ok , but breakfast was really forgettable and we ended up organising our own breakfast in the room We were somehow booked into a very large suite, when I asked about this the information was not very helpful and so made our stay more expensive than necessary
Excellent 9.7
Pros: A comfortable suite is much better value for the money than a single room. Very clean and well decorated with neutral colours, granite counter... way better than a stark white wall. Bed was comfortable. Location is great, centrally located but not a crazy busy/noisy street. Great walking around James Bay and Fisherman's Wharf. I really, REALLY like that they take dogs too. The suite was super clean, no sign of dogs from other people which I liked (even though I have a dog)!
Excellent 10.0
Cons: I didn't like how in the morning I tried calling and calling but no one answered as I had to catch a 7am and was told the night before someone would be there all night but when I called at least 9 times no one picked up until 5:50 am and all I wanted to do was check out and leave

Excellent 9.2
People were very friendly and nice. The only thing is the bedroom there were little details about the housekeeping
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable and convenient.
Cons: Unsecured parking but everything was fine.
Okay 5.0
Pros: A really good continental breakfast, extremely comfortable beds.
Cons: We booked a room with two beds but upon check-in were informed that there were no more two-bed rooms on the Pet floor - even though we had indicated on Booking that we were bringing our dog with us. I'm not sure how they ran out of double-bed rooms in this case. I took a single room because it was late and I just wanted to go to sleep, but I do want to voice our disappointment. There was no offer for a discount as well, they just didn't care.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location was amazing, walking distance of everything
Cons: Beds were not as comfy as expected and the rooms were much older.
Good 6.0
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good, and it seemed everything was fresh. The location was great, and the process of check-in and check-out was so fast.
Cons: I stayed at this hotel for one night. Although I asked them to make our room a little romantic since that was our wedding night, nothing changed. there was not enough shampoo and body wash for two-person, and no toothpaste and toothbrush, The thing that made me disappointed.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: great location. outdoor parking so no issues parking a pick up truck.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great Breakfast
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5.6
refused me accommodation without proof of vax
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Not the fanciest hotel. But very nice. Staff was awesome. Breakfast was really good and came with the room. Stayed 2 nights and would definitely book it again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location A plus Breakfast A plus
Cons: Looks ¿ old¿ . But overall still good . Because the good points over ride the drawbacks
Excellent 8.8
Great location! Short walk to all major sites within downtown Victoria. Quiet as well considering where it is.
Excellent 10.0
Good option for your visit to Victoria. It is perfectly located and a great hotel.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Place was clean & little/no noise from neighbours or hallway. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We asked to check in about an hour early so we could change for a wedding- they were able to make it happen. Location fantastic. Breakfast was great!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Full suite with short walk to grocery store, shops and BC political nut house.
Cons: Parking was tight for my pickup. Someone scratched my door.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff were so helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location, good breakfast. Free parking.
Good 7.0
Pros: Walking distance to ferry & Parliment.
Cons: Had not realized that there would not be a view.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: We had a huge corner room with great views and tons of room. Super convenient to the ferry and walkable to all of downtown Victoria. really comfortable bed, nice amenities, nice staff
Cons: The adjoining motel hasn’t been remodeled and looks pretty sketch - glad we were not in that wing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The hotel is right across a side street from the Parliiament Building and very close to nice restaurants, the waterfront, and tour buses. The room with two queen beds was spacious enough to be comfortable for a mother and her two adult daughters.
Cons: Although there was a nice balcony, the plastic balcony chair seemed to be disintergrating and left plastic dust on clothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the breakfast was delicious and the shower was very nice . and the Christmas decoration on the street was so beautiful
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. Staff friendly and professional. Very quiet and comfortable.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Cosy room, great breakfast, excellent stuff, very good location
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Location Friendly staff Breakfast Clean. Good value for the superb local
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Enjoyed being on the 4th floor with high ceilings and skylight
Cons: Scrambled eggs were kind of bland Maybe some variety of sauces to spice them up a bit
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: One of the breakfast staff was rude. He took breakfast a little too seriously.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the best breakfast and dining place I've ever been too. Very clean and best supervised. Food is always replenished. Never ran out. Definitely will comeback. Best location. Staff very friendly. Room is clean and comfortable.
Good 7.0
Pros: Fantastic location, clean room, comfortable bed. Good selection of breakfast items.
Cons: Way overpriced for age and style of hotel.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Being able to park the car and have a base to explore Victoria on foot. The savings allowed us to have a spa day and afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel. The breakfast buffet had good variety and well attended.
Cons: The pool area should have some lounge chairs and a bit more privacy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We really liked the location of the hotel. Close to everything we wanted to go to or see. Free breakfast and ample free parking too was a plus.
Cons: The closet was only about a foot from the side of the bed. It made it hard to get in to. But all the plusses of the hotel made it insignificant.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was beautiful, even if we got the opposite of everything we ordered. lol... we learnt quickly to order what you don't want... and it works out
Cons: Asking for tea, and getting coffee
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I liked the old atmosphere and a really cut room. The breakfast was good too.
Cons: The shower didn't work properly but we reported it. I also didn't like the breakfast staff asking for tips.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: A lovely old building with a great view over the Victoria Harbour. Breakfast is delicious and served with an English style elegance.
Cons: We found on internet that somewhere in history the house was haunted. One of the occupants died of fright. We slept in the haunted room. Fortunately the ghosts were very quiet. Or we were too fast asleep.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great room with an amazing view of the harbour
Cons: No house keeping was available. Though staff was very good at rounding up coffee and such for our second night
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location, comfy and cosy room! Very clean.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location and nice room. The building is beautiful: it's an old mansion with gorgeous woodwork everywhere. Breakfast is included, which makes for good value in this very competitive location. The breakfast was OK but not fabulous and I would have liked more options (for example, good porridge).

Excellent 10.0
Pros: comfortable, beautiful and great location
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location; walking distance to so many places - Beacon Hill, James Bay, Inner Harbour, Govt House etc. Quiet room and well appointed. Responsive staff.
Cons: Minor point , one morning the common area was out of mugs for our morning coffee and the communal toaster oven wasn't available
Excellent 9.0
Pros: everything
Cons: no
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location in a nice and quite neighborhood yet close to Many locations of interest in downtown! Room was very clean and spacious. We would definitely visit here again :)
Cons: everything was perfect:)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great room, fabulous location.
Cons: The logistics of getting in your room and parking are too complicated and virtually impossible without a cell phone. I know most people have one but not everybody does. I arrived a little early and had no idea how to proceed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This small, charming hotel is in the perfect location to explore Victoria by foot. The room I stayed in, Renoir Retreat, had lots of character and was quiet and cool. The amenities were good for doing your own breakfast.
Cons: I'm not a fan of the huge bathtub that took up lots of room, but I can see that for some, it would be an asset.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: location is great. Wonderful room. Most comfortable bed. Best View.
Cons: There was a crank noise coming from upstairs through the air duct all day.
Good 7.0
Pros: LOVED the view and having a balcony was fun to sit in our robes (with a blanket as well) enjoying our morning coffee!
Cons: The staff at the front desk seemed new. Just was a little lost professionally. Their communication skills was sorta off. NOT a big deal! Just strange!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: a little bit expensive for harbour view but is not really a view. I wish the price will be lower in slow season.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location and room were excellent
Good 6.8
We had a perfect day before we met her. We felt, we were being racism. One of the staffs, who was woking at receptionist in the pool and gym place, treated us like disrupters because she seemed very busy with a computer. English is not my first language but we speaks english pretty well. When we asked her about time for working hour for the pool, she answered well at first. However, we couldn’t get it immediately, so we asked twice it and then we saw her face, it looks like what a stupid asian couple. I was so upset.
Excellent 10.0
The staff is very helpful and patient. The rooms are great and very clean. The hotel is in a great location, right at the habour with wonderful views.
Excellent 9.6
Perfect location, cleanliness was one of the best I've ever visited places, all the staffs were amazing. Had dinner and breakfast at the pacific restaurant and truly enjoyed all the menus. Every famous places were in a walking distance, so we went back and forth to change our outfits depends on the weather. I really hope to try the swimming pool after pandemic. Cheers!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location location location
Cons: No
Okay 5.2
The room was mediocre for the price. The location was good and the pool and gym were good but the bed was rock hard, no view, thought it came with continental breakfast in the price. Price wasn’t worth just good amenities.
Good 6.0
Pros: The nigh manager who switched the room and apologized for the experience.
Cons: The check in experience was bad, I was given an old room because I booked the room through booking.com.
Good 6.4
Our stay was quiet and peaceful and that was nice. Hotel's location was also great. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However breakfast food choices were limited, and the sausage did not taste fresh.
Excellent 10.0
We are longtime fans of the GP. Facilities including pool etc are second to none, great service, and the kitchen prepares very high end offerings for those wanted to dine-in.
Good 6.0
Pros: Its close to everything
Cons: Its kinda expensive for it’s price i mean you can get same type of room and experience to other hotels with cheaper rates

Pros: Beautiful Hotel inside and out. Really convenient to Victoria. Food and service in the Pacific Restaurant was great. Self parking was convenient.
Cons: No
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location is great. Gym open late. Swimming pool indoors.
Excellent 10.0
Hotel staff was excellent. There is an outdoor dining area with fire pits that is perfect for dinner or cocktails. The only down side to our stay was the lack of service in the outside area one night however the very next night service was outstanding. I guess anyone can have an off night. We had views of both the harbor and from the balcony a nice view of the Parliament. Price was very reasonable. Overall it was a very good stay. This hotel has a location second only to that of the Empress in one of the most popular, beautiful, city centres in the world. Good service, good food.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is great!
Cons: I dont like this booking system and won''t use it again!
Okay 4.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed was very hard not comfortable at all as I would expect from a hotel of this caliber and price. Also, doesn't appear to have had a re-model in a long time, still have old short toilets not new elongated models. Just not what I expected for $---- night.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was perfect!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Bed was toohard
Excellent 10.0
For all who value natural settings, this is the place to be. I could not get enough of the environment. Beauty Redefined I want to be in Victoria to relax next summer when I have a vacation
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly staff. Loved the pool and facilities. Could cater a bit more for children.
Cons: Nope. Beautiful place, fabulous staff and location is prime area.
Excellent 10.0
The refurbished harbour view suite we had was large and spacious. The views from the many smaller older style windows, and the balcony were excellent. We had unobstructed harbour and Parliament House views. I recommend the corner harbour suites right next to Parliament House. The suite had an unusual design though, possibly due to the location of the room. For example, the bathroom running along the back of the bedroom and part of the living area. The children loved being able to run circles around the suite as a result. The living area was large and unfortunately the sofa didn’t really look out. There was a comfortable swivel chair allowing you to enjoy the view and/or company. The renovation is lovely and fresh. Not the most exciting new furnishings, but lovely wallpaper and comfortable sofa and swivel chair. Not opulent, but more than simple modern. The hotel has a great location next to the harbor, including the clipper ferry terminal and easy walk to downtown. On the downside, the buffet breakfast was average, although the smoothies were tasty. The al la carte quinoa, goats cheese, miso eggplant etc salad for an excellent breakfast. I would have it again in a heartbeat. The bed was really and unpleasantly hard. I am all for a supportive bed, however this bed was simply hard, with a thin comfort layer on top. As a significant side issue, we had chosen Grand Pacific Hotel due to its pool for our three-year old while our one-year old napped. The pool was how we sold the entire trip to our three-year old. We booked through Clipper Vacations and were not informed that the pool was unavailable for annual maintenance during our stay, however the hotel website did not display any warning unless you went through to make a booking. The hotel sought to make amends for the most part, and my husband and daughter walked in the rain each day to a hotel ten minutes away. On the last day the pool in the other hotel was also closed. Grand Pacific should have been aware of that

We really liked this place. The room was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. We had a room facing the harbor, so the view was nice. We were going to do Afternoon Tea at the Empress, which we've done more than a few times, but noticed they did it at The Grand Pacific also. So that was a really nice find and the Tea and the three tier tray was tasty to say the least. The server we had for Tea was really good. We will be staying here again, and I recommend it to anyone.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Extremely attractive hotel with perfect location by the waterfront. Easy walking distance all over town. We enjoyed our room overlooking the harbor. Gracious, helpful staff. We were happy with the Courtyard Cafe, which provided good sandwiches, coffee, and dessert for low-key suppers. Island Time Tours, booking right there in the Grand Pacific, took us to Butchart Gardens and picked us up again at our requested time. What a very nice arrangement. When it was time to leave Victoria, we chose the Victoria Airport YYJ Shuttle as more economical than a taxi. The Shuttle arrived at the front door and delivered us to the airport comfortably and in good time. We were happy in every way with our four nights at the Grand Pacific and would gladly stay there again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: super close to everything tourists do
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Staff was great and very helpful suggesting restaurants and activities. We were able to arrange A late checkout and keep our car parked. The location was excellent and there are a lot of nearby restaurants. We had a great time.

Excellent 9.7
Pros: Staff were excellent location was excellent
Cons: Curtains were torn
Good 6.8
Pros: Location is great!

Excellent 8.6

Excellent 8.0
Cons: Pillows not very comfortable
Okay 5.0
Pros: Downtown location. The studio met our basic needs for a two night stay.
Cons: Studio sofa couch was very noisy and uncomfortable. Double bed is small. Most hotels offer a queen but the smallness of the studio precluded it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: very quiet, spacious room
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very accommodating and friendly staff, there for every need.
Cons: I honestly cannot pick anything
Good 7.0
Pros: Location!
Cons: Shower was very weak - more so than even normal energy efficient showers.

Excellent 9.2
Extremely well located, and great value if you can locate a deal through a booking wholesaler. Ian
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is extremely close to major attraction in Victoria, it is in heart of Victoria city. Highly recommended hotel for everyone who visits Victoria. I don’t have anything negative to say about it, the hotel is that good. Rooms, furniture are high end and luxurious. Staying in this hotel is worth every penny. Highly recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Extremely nice room, great location.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Large room with comfortable furniture and bed, well located.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I really like the feel, the staff were wonderful the room was very nice, the bed and tv a little small, but love the place and would go back again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: This is a very clean, well-kept hotel. Our single queen room was comfortable and pretty spacious, offering all the day-to-day conveniences (coffees, cookies, wine glasses, safe, etc.). The staff was very cordial in general.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room number 200 was amazing. Kitchen Bedroom (California King) Dining Room Living Room. Very Clean
Cons: Nope
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was more an apartment than a room. full kitchen and living room. felt like you were at home. You could really relax.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location. Spacious suite with stocked kitchen, pull-out couch. Nice pool, sauna, hot tub.
Cons: Could use a refresh (it's old feeling) however I'm afraid that will raise the price too much.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: friendly staff that was engaging and knew so much about the area
Cons: room decor was slightly old, nothing modern yet comfortable reminded me of a grandma's house
Excellent 9.0
Pros: its location
Cons: resturant I asked about nuts, as a VERY SERIOUS Mgr recommended that I dine elsewhere. That says to me, his kitchen may not be as clean as it should be. at least he understands the ramifications, dead customers don't bring good reviews
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0

Excellent 9.0
Pros: the location and the building itself - it has a lot of character and is very well kept
Cons: the bed was a little firm, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Good 6.0
Pros: Had to book this as the highway was closed and I was stuck in Victoria. Location is great. Front staff person was lovely. It did in a pinch as a last minute, economical booking.
Cons: Very hard, uncomfortable bed. Musty smelling and dusty room. Cleanliness was definitely not up to par, especially looking behind the bed and in the corners. Worst of all, a long, black hair was right atop my pillow when I pulled the bedding down. The facilities are pretty dated (and not in a good, antique-y way). Drab and old feeling.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: quiet, close to harbour and downtown and Dallas road walk. cafe and bar on premises with good hours.
Cons: the coffee
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Super nice staffs, both in the Inn and the Pub, the meals are tasty in the Pub as well. and the location is hard to beat, close to downtown yet in a rather quiet neighborhood.
Cons: would be nice if there is a kettle to boil some water, but no a bid deal. :)
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff at the front desk were most friendly and helpful. An added bonus was the location of the hotel dining room.
Cons: One can hear others next door as the walls are thin. A room on the third floor in the corner is better as there is less noise. The room is fairly basic and small but the Cottage is much better if you want to cook your own meals. I stayed there before and it was excellent but you need at least three persons for this.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This lovely cosy hotel is very close to Beacon Hill Park. The rooms are lovely and you can't beat the friendly and helpful reception.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location for walking around downtown Victoria, the museum, and close to the bus stop for the ferry connection. the staff were always friendly and helpful and the building is in a quiet residential area. The restaurant downstairs provided very good and reasonably priced food - it was handy when there was a heavy rainfall, we were soaked and did not want to venture out for dinner
Excellent 8.0
Pros: old style,very convenient,
Excellent 10.0
The staff were amazing, the food was great both in the restaurant and pub. Close to downtown, truly enjoyed our stay!
Excellent 8.5
Cons: The bed was terrible
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Inside and out hotel was beautiful. Even though we were a few hours early and not able to check into our room yet they still allowed us to park in the hotel parking lot so we could go out and spend some time walking around the area and visiting the museum. The staff that I dealt with were very pleasant and courteous. There is a very nice restaurant located in the basement of the hotel and is accessible both from the lobby and from outside. The food was good and staff was courteous and the prices were not too bad at all.
Cons: It’s an older hotel so there is no elevator and no air-conditioning. I have a bad back and stairs are difficult so having to go up to the third-floor was not easy. Luckily it was cool in the evening and overnight so the lack of air conditioning turned out to be Ok. It also would have been nice if there was some kind of complementary breakfast like Continental or just a small buffet but unfortunately there was not. Although they do give you a card when you check in that it allows you 15% off your meal in the restaurant that is located in the basement.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great character clean and nice staff
Cons: No
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Virtually everything - the place reminded me of the places my parents would take me as a kid when on holiday. Parking lot, very well kept gardens, friendly check-in with lemon water available and coffee in the morning. Comfy, old school decor and furnishings - but everything is clean and kept up - it's not at all tatty. Ice machine, vending machines, and a simple but immaculate room. I also left my laptop in my room by accident and the maid made a point of rushing after me to return it - so, honest staff as well.
Cons: My pillow could have been a bit denser!
Good 7.0
Pros: Quaint, historic, great location in James Bay, near harbor and ferry.
Cons: Price seems rather steep for the room.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: So charming!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was very clean and comfortable and Had a great sleep on that bed. Location was awesome. We were able to walk everywhere.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast delicious, sunrise view exceptional, Efron very good server however the hostess seemed to have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed!
Cons: Also heard cleaning staff complaining for 20 minutes about her supervisor to the doorman while 4 of us waited in lobby for our rooms!
Good 7.6
Pricey. The room was loud. Hot tub closes to early :(
Excellent 9.2
We loved the location and the beds were very comfy. We are a little concerned that there is not enough parking available for the whole hotel. We were advised to not move our vehicle for the weekend once we found a spot but that is not in our plans so I guess we will see what happens. The decor is a little dated but the place is super clean.
Excellent 9.6
Beautiful and clean hotel. Staff are very friendly and location is great. Pool facilities are beautiful.
Excellent 9.6
Room was clean and good enough. Classic older style hotel. Was worth the money.
Okay 5.6
This has to be the worst hotel i have been in for the price. The room was so small you had to sit on the bed to watch tv, which in turn makes the bed very squeaky if anyone gets up in the middle of the night you were up too. The bathroom Wow was it small you bet, it was so small you had to walk to the toilet to shut the door . My breakfast was laughable due to medical reasons I eat an egg and potatoes for breakfast, the egg was great but to have black potatoes served that were raw in the middle I would have thought the chef would know that if you fry potato's quick this happens.. On top of that although we live in Vancouver Island we had to pay for parking also $15 a night and you have to do this as there is NO parking near by. The two good things I liked was the location and the checks you have to go through to stay. I will try a different hotel next time. I was in Victoria die to needing a medical over night test. Thought we would make a break from being in our town for the last two years this was our first time away so very disappointed.
Excellent 8.8
Great for dogs
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: The staff didn¿t tell me the parking cost when we checked in.
Excellent 8.4
The hotel was very centrally located and the staff were amazing. The room was a decent size but the bathroom was very tiny...could hardly move around in it! The elevators were also VERY slow
Good 6.8
Good hotel for location and pool.... not good hotel if u want bath robes, confused, creepy and unpolite staff, or waiting 40 mins for elevator(not exaggerating at all, didn't need to, wait time was already ridiculous)cause of one being broken for 3 days.
Excellent 9.2
Great location, easy check in and check out, friendly efficient staff. Room is modern and clean, well equipped and comfortable. Motorcycle parking was available. Would stay again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Located in the heart of victoria¿ Easy access to most popular places in the city.
Cons: Room as assigned was very small.
Okay 4.8
The room was very dusty, called the front desk and the man acted like he does not understand what I was saying. Still here and feeling terrible
Excellent 9.6
We traveled with our dog and the staff were so friendly and kind to him; he really loved it. The location is brilliant, just a few minutes' walk from the waterfront and from Beacon Hill Park. Highly recommended.
Excellent 8.8
After a less than desirable experience at a different hotel, Chateau Victoria was beautiful! The view from the 11th floor was really a nice added touch. Valet was super nice and unexpected. Very happy with service, cleanliness and appearance of property.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean, great location, helpful and friendly staff.
Okay 5.2
First thing I ask when we arrived was about the pool if it's available and the time. The front desk said it's available anytime and no restrictions. So we went at around 1045 pm just after we rested from traveling around . We wanted to relaxed our legs . We where already at the pool then the cleaner arrived and told us rudely " you aren't supposed to be here". We were embarrassed and just left . Also the bed wasn't that clean. Hoping my review will helped you improve better because your hotel is good and the place is accessible to all the tourist spots
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful navigating is through the city. The breakfast area was lovely with panoramic views on the 18th floor. The pool and hot tub were clean. And the gym had a great selection of equipment.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: A great place to hang out, have dinner, without having to leave the hotel. Place is clean, staff friendly. Great pricing for location. The jazz band during dinner was terrific. It was such a rainy day when I was there so it was nice that I could just go to the hotel restaurant. The food and drinks were fabulous! Right behind the Empress hotel and near shops.
Good 7.7
Pros: Proximity to harbor
Cons: Maid service - failed to replace washcloths and all pillows on bed
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Awesome staff and I got a free upgrade. Even helped with problem with car
Excellent 9.7
Pros: We loved this location and staff... Room was nice and comfortable with great city view.
Good 6.0
Pros: Good Location with Friendly Staff
Cons: Fitness room was too small and lacking quality and variety, Room was hot with noisy air conditioner. Conversations in hall seemed like they were always right outside door
Excellent 8.0
Pros: This is a well located well appointed hotel. Rooms slightly dated, but comfortable and clean. You will be centrally located to everything you want to do in Victoria.
Good 6.0
Pros: Very clean and really close to everything !!!
Cons: Bed made too much noise , not comfortable
Good 6.0
Pros: Not much. Staff was friendly, location was good.
Cons: Furniture was nicked/had holes in it. Air conditioning was a cheap portable one you could pick up at Costco. Staff got my order wrong, still charged full price after remaking it. Bed was stiff and squeaky.
