9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staffs were really kind and always tried their best to help us. I don’t know much about the location because we mostly took the taxi to everywhere, but I guess it’s fine because it only took 10-15 min to Shwedagon Pagoda from the hotel. Stayed at 14th floor, and the view from the room was fantastic, we could see the Shwedagon Pagoda from far away, and Yangon city which is full of the trees. The room is sparkling clean and I liked their amenities.
Cons: We stayed in the executive room so we had access to the executive lounge. They offered tea for 12-4pm, happy hour(alcohol beverages and some mini buffet which is enough to be light dinner snack) for 5-7pm and the breakfast for 6:30-10:30am. But the food was not so great, which we expected more than this. Wonder if just paid breakfast at 6th floor was better because pasta and the burger of the ground floor restaurant was really good.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place for a relaxing time in the city with a huge outdoor pool area. Great breakfast variety Good internet Minibar daily free refill
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Chatrium for three nights and it was an amazing experience. Upon our arrival, we got served some refreshing juice and the check-in was smooth without any hassle, plus all details are well explained. We got an upgrade, even it might be because the hotel has only a few guests but we still very grateful for that. Room had a nice view overlooking the pagoda and a beautiful sunset is guaranteed! Bed is very comfortable and we’ve got the best pillows during our time in Myanmar! Their buffet breakfast was really delicious and there were a great variety of food while they also take care of vegetarians guests. It’s only pity they withdrew the buffet and replaced it with a la carte breakfast which made it a bit difficult for us since we’re vegetarian but the staff were kind enough to try to accommodate our requests. We spent a lot of time at the pool and it was very nice with all the palm trees providing shades. During this period with the coronavirus outbreak they are doing extra to ensure all the guests are safe by cleaning and sanitising frequently. All the staff are wearing surgical masks, some are wearing gloves, etc. We definitely would stay there again in the future!
Cons: We saw some guests left quite some food, which is not the fault of the hotel but they could do a bit more to prevent it. For example, for a la carte breakfast, they could let the guests choose what they want or don’t want from the set menu.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I liked that service at the hotel. Once you entered, you were greeted immediately and taken care of. I was able to check in early and get my room earlier than check in time. The staff was very attentive and you could see that they tried their very best (especially the housekeeping team).
Cons: The pool bathrooms. Because I had a late flight and wanted to freshen up prior to my flight, I had access to the pool / gym bathrooms to freshen up and it did not live up to my expectation as it felt like it was literally a bathroom / shower in a hut. It needs to be regularly cleaned by the hotel.

Pros: It was our pleasure to be there. Super. Adam
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very modern and sleek and we had an amazing view of Shwedagon Pagoda from our window. At night, it is lit up and looks like an orange flame against the dark sky. We were also very happy with the food and drinks on the premises. You MUST try the pizza. I ordered the vegetarian (twice) and it was probably the best pizza I have ever had. Also the staff there were excellent. They were extremely helpful and gave us excellent attention and information. We ran out of the local currency (which you need for taxi ride back to the airport) and were able to exchange a small amount ($5 USD) at the front counter. The gym in the basement was very nice.
Cons: It's not very easy to walk around outside the hotel so you'll be reliant on taxi to get to downtown area or famous sites. Cost is low but there is much traffic in Yangon so ride may be longer than expected.

Cons: Attention to detail was not there...this is supposed to be a five star hotel...the sink in my bathroom was blocked, the phone broken, an empty vase graced the bathroom. No advertised pictures of old Burma on blank walls. Large but impersonal room. So called butter (s) did nothing but collect and hand out room key. I had to tell them each time I came back my room number. Food was hit and miss. I went to the New Year dinner at the restaurant. All in all very very disappointing. I have stayed at Raffles, E&O and many other classics but this is one not to be repeated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a unique atmosphere and offers a truly excellent service which is highly personalised. My stay was the sheer pleasure!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The thing that sets this hotel apart from other 5 star hotels is the fact that the staff are truly excellent (I would say 6 stars for the staff if it were possible). Because the hotel is relatively small, I think it allows for a much more personalised touch. The facilities (pool, spa) of the hotel were also very good, as was the a la carte breakfast/ restaurant.
Cons: Not that I didn't like it, but if you are considering staying here you should accept the fact that the hotel is >100yrs old and as such its angle is 'luxury mixed with character' rather than 'pure, modern luxury' (such as might be found at a modern 5 star hotel). I think having character makes it much more interesting... It was nice to sit in the breakfast lounge and think about who might have been sitting in this exact room having their breakfast 100 years ago...!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The colonial heritage. Renovated but not overrenovated. Certainly one of the best colonial hotel in the world. Should I travel to Yangon again I certainly will choose The Strand. .
Cons: Nix, nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the charm and attention to detail.
Cons: The breakfast service was very disappointing— slow and lacked following up (in regards to all beverages).
6.0 Good
Pros: The renovations have been tastefully completed and the swimming pool area is blissful.
Cons: Unfortunately The Strand didn't live up to the hype and expectations. Little things let it down. The sink in the bathroom was blocked. The desk telephone was broken. No flowers I'm the room, just an empty vase. No pictures on the walls. New Year's dinner at the restaurant a big disappointment. I have stayed at Raffles and the R&O, unfortunately The Strand lags behind. As a side note the butler (s) on the first floor never knew my name or room number and I had to ask for my key every time. Sad when there were on three rooms occupied on the floor...

Pros: right from the beginning, the staff were very helpful!, all smiles and friendly. Was given a choice of 2 rooms, both were very nice!. Breakfast was great!, a big selection of breakfast choices. There is a restaurant very near the ship, owned by the same people and was very reasonable, and good beer!
Cons: For me honestly I liked everything!, some people may say the location is a bit out of the way, however many public buses, and lots of taxis close by and very cheap to use.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff.
Cons: Room has a bit smell of carpet.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The attraction that we had was the fact that it was a boat , that was the only thing we linked
Cons: The hotel was musty, unclean , poorly managed . The hotel rooms were dull with the feeling of gloom. The breakfast buffet was awful very stale food and horrible selection . At night we had people try to enter the room not once but twice and when we informed the reception they acted lost . The hotel needs a complete change of management. Very unhappy with our stay and should be simply a no no for anyone looking for a comfortable stay

Pros: The staff were all friendly and efficient, value for your money, the location was peaceful and also accessible to downtown. Great food as well!
Cons: I stayed in a room where there is no bidet to be used. This was my second time to stay here and I hope that they can install so it would be more convenient and sanitary for the guest staying in the hotel.
