Historic hotel so we knew it would be quirky. Bed was comfortable. Rooms could be furnished a bit better and the "breakfast" was so sparse it was actually funny.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff were great and hospitable. The hotel gives the vibes of what the town was like back in the early days.
Pros (+) I love the look and feel of the place and the claw foot tub and shower were amazing! Excellent customer service. Super convenient to many activities including university, restaurants, shops.
Cons (-) Need to use the space heater at night during the winter - the radiator, while a beautiful part of the room, doesn't keep the room warm all night. Also the breakfast is pretty minimal. A couple of hot dishes would really level it up.
Pros (+) Due to it's age, it has some character. It is in a very good location. Very centralized.
Cons (-) Everything in it is old. It doesn't feel historical, and charming (which is what i was hoping for). it is next to 3 dive bars, and the plaza in the middle looses its appeal as it is constantly populated by homeless looking young adults smoking weed the whole time. All of this contributes to the hotel's loss of charm.
