Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but we were not told that this is a training facility for hospitality students. With that in mind you might expect higher than average service? No, just swarms of students in front of the building and rushing down hallways to make classes, posters on walls and doors re: curriculum and advertising careers. Although the staff at reception were polite and accommodating, It was an unexpected experience.

Pros: Stayed at the hotel for three nights. The restaurant was superb, other than having a table full of Chinese next to us who had two interpreters running around the table explaining/translating. Still an enjoyable meal non-the-less, and chef Pascal Nibaudeau came and spoke with us which was nice - although only because he had to come and 'shmooze' the Chinese clients who I assume were carrying big bank books! Location is great, right next to the shopping area, opposite the opera house and two mins from the tourist centre and tour buses. Reception and concierge were very helpful.

Pros: The staff, especially the concierge managers, were helpful, pleasant, and went out of their way to assist, without asking. Very well trained and gracious. We enjoyed being on the main Place of the Grand Theatre; sitting outside on the terrace was delightful. Comp. bottles of gazeuse and plat water each day in the room was a nice touch.

Pros: This hotel is in an excellent location in Bordeaux only 500 meters from the river Garonne boardwalk, many restaurants, trams and rental cycles. The hotel is only two tram stops from the center of Borbeaux and has all the essentials. If the sun is shining breakfast on the roof is a joy with great views of Bordeaux. Staff were very helpful, polite and courteous.

Free tea and coffee have been provided by mornings. While the front window looked at railway station square, the fountain masked the usual noise and made the very comfort feeling of "rain outside" :)

Pros: The staff was very helpful. We arrived at night when the desk was closed. The key was left in a safe. The room was booked for 4 persons, but we found one for 3. We managed somehow and the next morning I went to the reception. They apologized and arranged another room with a balcony. They did not bill the first night. They were very kind and helpful, solving the issue. The center of Bordeaux is at walking distance (20 minutes). Right around the corner there is a pizza take out and at 250 meters down the road a little supermarket (also opens sundays). We had a dog with us. No problem.
