Staff was fantastic at pick up and drop off. However, we prepaid through Kayak and our vehicle was not available. Our only choices were to go without a vehicle or pay double to upgrade. The last minute rental was a bit pricey to begin with, and the final cost was exorbitant.

I had booked a minivan but they said I had booked a midsize SUV. I showed them the Kayak note and they said I had to call Kayak. In the 2nd they didn't have a Suv and had to give us a minivan. I felt abused

Once we learned the facility was about 1/3 mile from the Iceland airport and could not find a Sixt booth or their shuttle at the Iceland airport, we decided to walk to the facility in the rain & wind. Otherwise, the check in & check out process was ok and the vehicle served us well in our travels around Iceland.

Good experience. Just could not return car early at 5 am.my flight out of hobart was at 6.30 So i had return the previous day before 5 pm. that meant i did not have use of the vehicle for a while..

Great price and quality car. The pickup was a little confusing, as the supplied instructions were to call Apex to arrange transfer to pickup point, but no-one answered the phone, and the system was not working. We just saw the Apex transfer bus at the airport pull up and hopped on randomly. With the Apex depot off site, the car drop-off had to be done before 5pm, which was inconvenient for us, as we had a late night flight. It would have been good to have an extra cost option to be able to leave the car/keys somewhere else for after hours drop-off, but unfortunately this was not an option. But the hire car was good quality, well priced and the staff were great once we found how to get to the depot.

As a 1st time user with Ace left me disappointed 😞 from time of making the booking through to picking up vehicle which had the window screen replaced the day of pickup with tape on the window to be told "keep it there for an hour then you can pull it off" most disconcerting to having to drive away and lucky no rain to have to use the windscreen wipers!!! Also asked for some compensation but didn't get any

The car tires were almost flat and needed to be refilled twice over the course of the rental. The wipers needed to be replaced and an interior side panel kept falling off near the driver’s feet. It took a long time to get to the off-site location from the terminal, the check was time-consuming making the whole experience extremely long after arriving from an international flight. It is unlikely that I will rent from Crazy Clarks again.

I had done my application online, but the Budget office at the Brisbane airport had NO WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION, so I was unable to show them what I had purchased on my laptop. Yep, that's right. I had to purchase a MORE EXPENSIVE deal there, and then had to drive downtown the next day to the Budget office and get it straightened out, and I'm still not sure that it was done properly.

Cons:

Exterior of car was dirty and tires needed air, had to demand a new car after we looked at the car and saw the wheels bowing out from lack of air. Terrible customer service, dodgy insurance eg claims you have rediculous excess to pay even if you aren’t in fault of any damage to the car, even if it’s fault of another driver.

Pros:

The original lady i spoke to at Hendra was excellent. However had to make several calls to get advice on repairs to puncture i had recieved. Phone Brisbane office which then transfers you to Hendra where you have to wait lengthy waits at both places. Very frustrating.

Cons:

The actual cost was more than i expected in fact double because of insurance costs. Plus i had half a day getting a puncture repaired as tyre dealers didn't have the unusual size that Hyudai have put on there latest cars.

You couldn’t pay me to drive a Suzuki Swift back home...until Inhired this car. Great customer service and this car was LEGEND.

Cons:

Honestly, the insurance cost more than I expected, but might as well make sure I have $0 liability Incase of a catastrophe. Everything else was top, 100%, LEGIT, LEGEND. Insurance wasn’t even that expensive so maybe I’m being a drama queen, haha!

The car was Matsuda’s CX-3 and I loved it. The key is automatically locked after leaving the car, the engine starts by only pushing the button, and it is fuel efficient. And above all, I could rent the car with no unnecessary options like insurance and road assistance, which I have never used in my life (Most shops silently add those options and it is really hard to cancel them for foreign travers who have no phone number in the country like me)

Cons:

I booked the premium car three months in advance - they didn't have one when I arrived. They offered either a large gas guzzling SUV or a Camry. I took the Camry, and they refused to give me a lower rate. End up paying hundreds of $ more than I should have for the 3-week rental, but it was 5:30am after a 14 hour flight and I wasn't about to go shopping elsewhere.

We tried to extend bring forward our booking but could not get the extra 4days required … even with an upgrade .. no cars avail Not enough staff Staff forgot to give us chains we had paid for - we had to come back and get them First car had no usb charger !! First got a stone chip - we returned and got charged $52 or so dollars - but did get to swap car

The staff at Jucy Melbourne airport were fabulous. We shared some laughs and easy conversations with Charlie who picked us up and dropped us back to the airport. The reception was also pleasant although the office could use a good clean it didn't impact the customer service. The car itself was mediocre but it was clean and did the job!

Had to wait nearly 2 hours for the car. We were never told about the fuel top up and got charged a crazy amount, $4 per litre. Not a good experience, would not recommend. Also still got charged for the 2 hours when they didn’t have the car ready.

More friendly service when we dropped off the car. One of the staff was unfriendly to customers when we entered the place. The bus driver dropped us off at the wrong airport terminal. When he dropped us off we thought we were at the international terminal, but we did not realize we were dropped off at the domestic airport. He did not tell us. I booked through Rentalcars.com for pickup at Bargain Car Rental in Hobart and drop off in Devonport. When I arrived at the Bargain Car Rental counter I was told the company no longer operates in Devonport, and so they would not rent me a car and I would have to contact RentalCars.com for a refund. The issue was, this was only a few days before Christmas and other companies were out of cars. I finally secured a little economy car for four times the price of the SUV I had booked through RentalCars.com. Bargain Car Rental refused to assist and I’m still pursuing reimbursement for the additional cost from RentalCars.com. Grrrr.

This was a scam. Deceptive marketing with hidden fees and predatory practices on the consumer. I canceled reservation onsite , didn’t take the car and will never use them or affiliate rental companies. I will never recommend them.

Online your able to pay with an American Express Card. When you get there after a long flight and a a long drive from Mimai Airport to get there....they tell you we do not accept American Express cards. Mr and two other customers went through the same thing...there was a lot of upset people in the same boat...yelling, arguing. I will never use them again! Stop accepting American Express online for carwiz!

Would never recommend ACE to anyone going to Las Vegas. Not only is the facility in the back of an unlit/unsafe area, the staff was completely unprofessional. When I asked why I need to pay $500 upfront for a $40 2 day reservation, no joke the guy looked at me and says, "in case you smoke in the car". I have NEVER paid a deposit on a rental car in Las Vegas or anywhere for that matter. The staff unfairly profiled me when I don't even smoke. Let it be know, I instantly walked out of there and paid Uber instead.

Staff were not friendly at pick up or drop off. Total advertised price was inaccurate. When providing our own insurance, service representatives were snippy as soon as they realized they would not make that extra $ off us, they kept threatening penalties, coverage gaps, and potential legal action even though proof of full insurance coverage was provided. We were provided with a vehicle from Nevada with summer tires and 2 wheel drive even after explaining we would be crossing the mountains. At drop off the receiving staff was angry and rude. ACE will not be getting our business again and should likely just advertise their true price so they can pay their staff more. I’ll gladly pay the extra (as advertised) cost for a properly equipped vehicle from a more reputable rental company. Do better ACE.

It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
