I reserved an SUVCons:I reserved an SUV online. When I arrived, I was given a mini van and told that there were no SUVs on site, but that I should come back to the airport in the morning if I wanted to trade out the mini van for an SUV, because several cars were being returned at midnight. At 20 minutes each way to and from the airport, I decided to call first thing in the morning just to make sure. After 45 frustrating minutes, no one could help me - I was told I needed to talk to someone at the counter, yet the call center could not connect me to the counter, and the 'local' phone numbers listed online and on my contract all patched me through to the call center. There was no way to call the local counter directly. I had to rearrange my work schedule to drive back out to the airport, only to be told on arrival that there were no SUVs available. I asked for the manager's phone number, called and spoke to a woman who made no apology whatsoever and was unable to assist me. Additionally, the mini van they gave me was dirty, with trash on the floor, and it was completely out of windshield washer fluid with the warning light on. The online reservation service for Budget/Avis did not deliver what was promised. My company and I will not be renting from you again.Reviewed 22 Aug. 2016

Pros:The car ran well and was good on mileage.Cons:The emergency reserve person working on the 27th was extremely stressed and taking it out on the customers. I stood in line for 2 hrs to get the car I had reserved. I also did not receive a mid size SUV even though that’s what I reserved. I received a large car but paid the mid size SUV price. I would NEVER call in that person to work ever again. Even if it’s an emergency. No patience, rude to the customers, told us all to go somewhere else, she even said out loud that she didn’t know how to do anything. Anyone would be better than her.Reviewed 3 Jan. 2020

Pros:Price was goodCons:I rented a 4x4 pickup because there was three of us going on a ski trip. They stated that the pickup (2020 Ram Limited) had too many miles on it and could not be rented. They in turn gave me a Durango only to discover that it was not a 4x4, they then traded that for a Toyota 4-Runner which was a gutless tinny 4x4 that barely made it over the mountain and the cruise control did not work. I ended up trading that in for a Ford Explorer Platinum which was perfect... So what is my time worth??? I made a reservation weeks in advance and ended up getting keys for 4-different vehicles before getting something that was satisfactory!! Disappointed to say the least!Reviewed 15 Mar. 2021

Cons:Car stunk to high heaven. Smelled like somebody smoked in the car and they used some strong smelling cleaner to cover it up. Was so bad I had to stop and get some febreeze to counteract the smell.Reviewed 19 Oct. 2020

Pros:I suppose the fact the car we finally got did not break down and drove wellCons:We arrived on the Tues after Thanksgiving. Staff greeted us with "we're so stressed out, so many cars came back, we can't keep up. Your car won't be ready for an hour or more as we just don't have the staff to keep up with the cleaning". Not a good start to OUR vacation. We ordered a car, and they offered us a truck instead, but it was a monster truck, huge! Poor gas mileage, difficult to park. So we went and got lunch and came back to exchange. Now a line, had to wait 30 min to get waited on. Then same sad story from agent, but we got a car. Went out to lot, they were still cleaning so we helped put it back together, and had them forgo the rest of cleaning--now 4 hrs into our vacation time, no fun. Still hearing how stressed they were. Not what we rented.Cons:We rented a minivan and showed up to get a Ford Fusion. Their excuse was that both vehicles sit 7. The customer service rep wouldn't back down that they were different vehicles. Anyways it substantially delayed our trip. We ended up going with Enterprise because their customer service was much more understanding and actually had a minivan that we could rent. Budget is cheap but you won't get what you paid for and add more stress to your trip.Reviewed 20 Oct. 2015

In order to enjoy car, someone must show up at booPros:Nothing, will never use Budget again. My husband will never use Budget again and he is a preferred member!Cons:Budget and all rental cars were closed at the time I was told to pick up car. There was not a real person available at Customer service to talk to. Had to take a taxi at a cost of $60 to get back to St George. our customer relations told me today when I called and spoke to them: spoke, but can't help you. We don't reimburse for taxi fare. We don't do anything for you. Sorry your plans were screwed up because you didn't get your car. Not our problem!Reviewed 20 Oct. 2015

MisleadCons:I ordered the car for the days. I called the day to pick up the car and they said that I could come in and pick it up at anytime. My original pickup time was 3pm. I picked it up at 1:30pm. I only picked it up early because they said that I could. I stopped it off the days later at 3pm. They charged me a full extra day because of the one and half difference. That was not ethical. I will not use budget in the future. I rent a lot of cars and this is the first time that I have been treated this bad.Reviewed 24 Dec. 2017
