Pros:
AVIS Montevideo was exceptional. The checkout was fast, courteous, and professional. There was some confusion regarding the location, which wasn't at the port as listed but at another location in Montevideo. They quickly reimbursed my cab from the port to the new location. Secondly, we had an issue with the rental car in Punta del Este and the AVIS location there also had a great customer service. We had a new car and were back on the road within minutes. Overall a great experience.Budget

Pros:
They opened on a Saturday right on time and handled the check-out efficiently, as well as friendly. The return was just as easy. I was briefed on key features of the car as well. The size was perfect.Cons:
The car operated well, with no problems on all sorts of roads, but could have been more fuel efficient. I missed some of the comfort extras, like better seats and cruise control, which are often offered in this same class of car, but perhaps not in Uruguay.10.0 Wonderful

We rented a car to travel the country. the service at the car rental was efficient and friendly. My Spanish is terrible but the agent was extremely helpful and friendly. Great service.Thrifty
