Overview

In the centre of Turin by Porta Nuova station, the Best Western Hotel Genio is a comfortable hotel with air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi, a direct-dial phone, a TV and a minibar, plus a bar and four meeting rooms seating up to 80 guests for events. The station, the city's grand avenues and the airport link all sit right at hand, and trams and the metro reach the rest of Turin with ease. Porta Nuova is a couple of minutes away. Turin is a stately old royal capital at the foot of the Alps, laid out in arcaded boulevards and elegant squares. The landmark Mole Antonelliana tower soars above the rooftops over a celebrated cinema museum, the world-famous Egyptian Museum holds treasures second only to Cairo's, and grand cafes serve the city's signature chocolate beneath the elegant porticoes. Snow-capped Alps rise on the horizon beyond the wide River Po.

Pros (+) We were already staying in an apartment a couple of blocks away but there was no AC so we moved to the Genio. Booked quickly online and even though we showed up (very) early they had a room for us. As it happened, the AC in that room wasn't working so we were moved to a very nice, newly renovated, room with super AC. We liked the room, opted for the (very good) breakfast, and the location can't be...
Cons (-) We didn't like that we hadn't booked into the Genio for our entire stay!
