Because they computer was down I had to wait 2 hours when I had a reservation. Then they gave me an “upgrade” of an EV, but no instructions about why that meant. Just rushed me through the process to get me out of there. I wound up spending more on charging the car than renting it. Not to mention the hours of time I lost trying to find places to charge, stations that were out of order, the six apps I had to download to my phone, and the actual hours I wasted charging the car instead of spending time with my family - the reason I rented the vehicle in the first place. When I told them I was upset they said there was nothing they could do until the rental was over. Now I have to wait 5-7 days to see IF I can get a refund. The Hertz location was in a cold parking garage with benches and 3 inch bulletproof glass so I couldn’t hear half the things they were talking about. Worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I’ll take the train next time. This was horrible.
I had to wait at least half hour to pick up the car. They should have at least 2 people working at a time. The person who helped me was nice but I wish I didn’t have to wait that long.
I was flying in to Philadelphia and the pickup for my car was away from the airport with no shuttle. So I had to change my rental.
I thought the rental was at the airport in Philadelphia. After waiting in a line for over 30 minutes we were told the rental sight was in west Philadelphia. At least a 20 minute ride in a not very good section of the city. To get a car from the airport for a2 day rental was an additional $260 over what we had already paid. We never rented a car and needless to say we will tell them about the false advertising. We were not toldthat the facility is not at the airport and you have to find your own way out there. It was a terrible start to a family reunion weekend. Shame on you hertz
They were terrible to work with. I booked a car to pick at the airport they messed up the reservation and had my car 14 miles away instead. They would not give me a car at the airport unless I agreed to a $600 price increase! Outrageous! Top it off, where they did have my car (14 mikes across downtown Philly) it was closing soon so I could not get it in time even with taking an Uber. Long story, much hassle on the phone, no help in person. I finally gave up and I went with Dollar rental car instead. I will never use Hertz again.
Car wasn’t at Philadelphia airport we had to take a cab to another hertz rental after 1.5 hours of waiting in line. Additional cost $85. We almost missed rehearsal dinner and didn’t have time to go to hotel and change. Over 3 hours lost because of poor customer service.
