Cons:

Very difficult to get to Milan office, series of one way street, no place to park, stuck in Milan traffic jam for 2 hrs, therefore ,returning the car 1/2 hour late, charged me 100EUROS. Never rent with AVIS again!

Kayak and Avis both failed to notify me that an international drivers license would be needed. The people behind the desk at Avis said this was in the fine print. This is completely unacceptable and a detail this completely essential should be in bold red print. This should be better communicated to consumers to avoid such drastic issues.
