Aspen hotels near Wheeler Stallard House Museum

Cons: The mini bar was disappointing, but empty enough to stock with my own purchases. It's a stretch to find any other complaints.

Cons: The first night the sheets had holes in them, the last night the bottom sheet did not fit and the top sheet was nonexistent. The hvac fan ran continuously.

Cons: Hotel front desk staff were terrible. They would not answer the phone they were slow to respond to any requests and appeared as if they all hated their jobs. Our check out and getting our car from valet was a disgrace on the hotel. Management obviously takes a break after the winter ski season which is not normal for this quality of a hotel. Perhaps some stock holders will look at this 5 star resort hotel that is being run like a 2 star mom and pop motel in the summer and turn it around. I would not recommend staying at this hotel in the summer.

Cons: The service ended up being terrible and has resulted in a disaster story to tell friends about. Just awful. First off, when I got there I learned there is only valet parking. I hate to have anyone else drive my car and being forced to did not get us started off on the right foot but is not a huge deal so we just moved past it. We got to our room which was nice and the best part of the experience. Then I got food poisoning from room service (Burger) so I could not sleep. Then in the middle of the night the fire alarm when off. We had to go stand outside for 45 mins waiting for the fire department to get their and clear the alarm. The kitchen set off the alarm while cleaning. By the next morning I just wanted to get home but on check out noticed they charged a $15 resort fee and a $15 valet fee added on in addition to the tips I gave the drivers. I did not raise a fuss with the staff as they were already hearing from other guest and I wanted to get home. They did not offer any discount or anything for the fire alarm which is bad customer service in my opinion. So, to sum it up, I was forced to valet park, got food poisoning, had a fire alarm set off in the middle of the night, had multiple unexpected fees, and received poor customer service. I still can't believe how bad that one night when.

Cons: Our room location wasn't the best - a little noisy at times - too near the lobby.

Cons: Very old hotel. It appeared as though they were doing some renovations while I was there but the hotel is definitely on its last leg. Unfortunately, the room wasn't carefully cleaned, either. On the surface it looked clean, but there were a few things left in the bathroom in the bathtub and the sink, and most of the surfaces in the room were quite dusty.

Cons: Limited and tight parking.

Cons: There was nothing to like. Old, hot, broken down hotel. Elevator broken the entire time. Outside door exposed cable and electrical wires. Bed had decent sheets but terrible mattress and pillows. Ants in room and big mosquito like bugs. Parking is in public lot not near hotel!!! Back door to lawn area sticks and broken. On and on and on. Terrible value.

Cons: Kind of noisy in our room (heard snow plows all night long), requested a king bed and were given 2 queens instead, very little storage/closet space, no fan in the small bathroom

Cons: Rooms and hotel were warm. No AC other than window fans that were extremely noisy. Hot tub was broken which was disappointing.

Cons: Room was dingy. It did. Ot have a locker for ski equipment, only had a chain lock. Hot tub was falling apart, literally crumbling. Breakfast was ok, but still left you unsatisfied.

Cons: Bedsheet had holes. I could hear other hotel doors slamming and neighbors sneezing. It could be quieter.

Cons: We were on the lower floor and there was consistently heavy footsteps/noise from the room Above us. Walls are thin in this hotel. There was no room service (food menus) and no restaurants walking distance. Getting a cab was difficult and there are no ubers in aspen. Although we were there during New Years so didn't help. 400 a night, but then again it's aspen and a five star hotel is 1500 a night so go figure.

Cons: Maybe a better breakfast selection.
