Having paid for the full breakfast, I asked for fried eggs, but they were frazzled on a grill to the point of being inedible!

Location was easily reached from the train station and a short walk to the historic area. Room was excellent and so was the breakfast. Eggs were cooked to order. Free drinks were offered at arrival and one each day of our stay. Free Basel Card allowed us unlimited use of the local transport and discounts at all museums which saved us money. Staff was very helpful, The garden was a delightful place to have a drink.
There was not much we didn't like. They had some problems with the elevator on a couple days but they offered us free drinks to compensate so we didn't mind. They got the problem fixed soon enough.
