Grand old property! Warm and inviting. Great views, tasty restaurant. Friendly thru and thru. Always stay here and it gets better every time.

The food A chef is needed in the kitchen . My son could not eat his breakfast it was so badly cooked and presented. A bill for our stay was pushed under our door. That is grossly inappropriate and in 73 years has never happened to me before. I prefer to pay my bill as soon as I arrive.

Our room had a sitting area that was very comfortable for hanging out. It's always nice to have a place to sit other than the bed. The restaurant and bar are really great.
The pet policy at the hotel is really lame! There is a cleaning fee of $100 which would be fine, but your pet cannot be left in the room unattended, and your pet cannot be left in your car on the property. Essentially, everywhere you go you have to take your dog, so the hotel is not really providing any 'pet service'. At many hotels, there is a nominal cleaning charge for dogs, and there are additional charges in the event your pet damages the room. This is a more pet friendly and owner friendly service.
