Located in Andrassy, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Budapest Operetta Theatre, Hungarian State Opera House, and St. Stephen's Basilica. Szechenyi Chain Bridge and Parliament Building are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: The apartment was clean and spacious. Front desk receptionists were nice.Cons: Bathroom didn't have supplies and towel was worn down.
A little bit of money went a long wayPros: They either upgraded me or the room(s) were way bigger than I thought. Definitely worth it for the great price and amazing location. My sister and I stayed for four days and only used public transportation once, since everything is walking distance from our hotel. Opera, Central Market, Gellert Bath House, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, etc.
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you'd need to cook, bake, make coffee, etc.
There was a 10 euro per night fee for air conditioning, but it was cool enough with the balcony door ajar that it wasn't necessary. If we came a few weeks earlier, it would be a necessity.
I had a few questions before my stay and they responded via email within hours, so great great customer service on that end.Cons: Not sure what is custom, but there was no maid service, which is fine, but little thing like shampoo, conditioner, soap or more than two bath towels would have been nice.
Also, when residents walk in from the outside, the courtyard makes it seem like they are standing next to you, so you can hear every little thing. If you're street facing, the bar next door is apparently loud, but if you're courtyard facing, you get some voices every now and then, but not terrible.
Oh and my bed was a little hard.
Those are my only complaints.
