No rental car was available at our pickup time. The attendant when we arrived was rude, repeatedly left the counter without explanation, and offered no compensation to get us to our hotel for the night, requiring us to get an Uber at our own expense. All this being said, the attendant when we did finally pick up the car the following day was very helpful, courteous, and accommodating of the situation.Reviewed 24 Jan 2026

They would not honor the type of car that I reserved. I reserved a compact SUV, I had the reservation confirmation printed out, I even prepaid; they would not honor it. They said I could only get a subcompact economy electric car because I reserved through a third party. They would not honor my reservation as a compact SUV without "upgrading". Very disappointing, I have had issues with the PIE location in the past. I think in the future I will avoid Budget/Avis when booking for that location.Reviewed 23 Jan 2026

Now, in addition to Kayak, Expedia, etc, there are third parties (the two I have experienced were in China and Hong Kong). Is there a benefit to the consumer? NO. Waited over 30 minutes for transportation from the airport to the rental office before we decided to take an Uber! Long lines, long wait times, unhelpful agent, poor communication, dirty car (even after a quick rinse they call a car wash), no up-to-date charging port in the vehicle…. Personal and service outstanding as always, the car not so much this time. The car needed servicing, windshield washer fluid 100%empty which was severely needed to drive in in climate weather. I had to buy water and dump it on the windshield as I was driving to clean the windows so I could see out.Reviewed 20 Jan 2026
