Cons: Apparent communications breakdown between 3rd party and dollar ( according to dollar) regarding extra charges. 3rd party said cost would be $207.06, dollar charged $229.16. No upgrades or extra services were requested.

Dollar would rather have us take the car into haza
Pros: We encountered snow advisroy and chains required warnings. We tried to return the car early and were told it would be $1,000 more to return it early than to park at the airport and return 5 days later. Absurd!The Fresno counter tried to help us but there hands were tied. We will never rent from DOLLAR.

Cons: The Rental return signs at the Fresno Yosemite Airport had us drive through the airport and out. That was confusing. The signs should state to follow the existing road away from the terminal to return the automobile to avert the confusion of so many signs.

Pros: The car was smaller than what I thought I was getting what the price and everything was great. It was super efficient and it was a one round tank trip. The car was clean and everyone was super courteous.

Cons: Drop off site was unclear. Email said off site, but it's actually by the airport. No direction or representative in the parking lot. Had to park the car and go inside the terminal rental counter to return the car.
Cons: The outside of the car was dirty, hadn't been cleaned. It had brown water spots all over which on the windows and mirrors was distracting while driving.

Pros: Our clerk when we picked up the car was exceptional. Great job. Kind of went downhill after that.
Cons: I was quoted a price of $72 approximately. The final bill included a $51 "Loss Damage Waiver". What the heck is that? I was told at rental that I could completely cover any problem for an additional $17 which I agreed to. So I'm thinking the full bill will be something over $100. $180.29 is what I was charged. Very underpowered vehicle and overcharged is how I would characterize the transaction.

Pros: It wasn't expensive.
Cons: The aux jack didn't work. When I got to Burlingame the shuttle had just left. It doesn't run every 10 minutes as it says and the woman who checked me in lied and said Uber can't drop off at SFO so I should take a cab. Uber does drop off there.

Cons: when we asked for a "midsize" car i expected something better than a Veloster which didn't fit my needs - I'm 6'6".

Couldn't have been better
Pros: I got a free upgrade to a very nice car, the price was MUCH better than any other I could get, and the handling at the rental car locations was smooth as silk. All in all, a great experience.

Poor customer service
Cons: When I landed to connect with my second flight they called me telling me I would have to reserve a car with a different agent because they would be closed at 8pm. I ask if there would be anyone that would stay because my flight come in at 8:09pm they said no the only reason they would stay late if my flight was scheduled to come in at an earlier time and was delayed. Stupid as this sounds it's real, I make reservation two weeks advance and they waited till the day I fly.
Pros: Car was ready upon arrival without any real wait time. The car was nice, new and clean. Returning was simple and easy.
Cons: Fuel was at half tank so I had to stop before my trip to fill up then guess upon return how much fuel to put in to return at the same level.

Disappointing staff experience. Enterprise can do
Pros: The vehicle itself was very good once we got it. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was comfortable and roomy. It had low mileage and was great value.
Cons: The staff at Fresno were unapologetic for the mismanagement of their vehicle availability. I spent 15 minutes waiting inside, filling in paperwork and signing, answering questions etc. After being handed some paperwork I went outside to be handed back and forth between four different people. They explained that we would have to wait for a vehicle as everyday at this time they ran out.. Five sets of people arrived after us and drove away before. We waited another 20 minutes outside and then as we were trying to leave got asked all the same questions we had answered inside. Knowing you have the same problem each day why would you not manage your selves better and prepare for it. At least apologize up front and not have some loud lady outside constant telling you this happens everyday as though that excuses it. Being asked my insurance deductible amount while trying to start the vehicle is ridiculous when that could have been asked during the previous 35 minutes. My membership didn't seem to mean a thing.

Cons: I am French living in Ireland and one before the renting they called us and refuse to rent us the car because we did not have credit card but just debit one. Did not read that on the website and have to cancel the two weeks plan we had with implicated cost. Never more deal with them.

Cons: Price for only 2 days higher than the competitors.
Pros: Location, location-great access to transportation and parking.
Cons: Really tired looking hotel, amenities were a bit tired and need upgrading. Rules were a bit confusing from Buffett to wifi; a bit confusing and Im confident customers were tricked into paying for services already included on the original agreement.

Budget hit a home run for me
Pros: The process of picking up the car at the Fresno airport was extremely fast, smooth and easy. The service was friendly. I was given clear and accurate information. Just a great experience all the way around.
Cons: I wish that even though I booked this car via Kayak, I still would have been eligible for the AARP discount when I picked the car up at the counter. Budget did upgrade me to a "better" car, but I would have preferred to use the smallest economy vehicle available and with an AARP discount.
Pros: The price was cheap. Easy pick up and drop off

Cons: They let you rent with your debit visa or Mastercard, but they want to check your credit report for even a 1 day rental. Those inquires on the credit last for 2 years and lower your credit score. I rent a lot, almost once a week. I can't imagine how many inquiries I will have to the end of the year. Unbelievable.

prepaid card not accepted
Cons: You guys denied me because i had a prepaid card . it had my name on it , ive had it for over 5 years , and most important off all it has over $2000 on it. im very disappointed because i had a family emergency
Cons: They never told me there was an option to do a one way rental meaning pick up at point A and drop off at point B regardless of having called and spoken to 4 people including when I picked it up and dropped it off. The man told me when I picked up that there would be a fee to take the car from Fresno, ca and drop off in Phoenix, az well that fee turned out to be $1,600. Then when I dropped the car off they never said anything about making that charge to my credit card, no signature, no pin, nothing! Just hands me the receipt and said "that's a lot of money" uh yea!!! It's a lot of money, apparently not enough to mention to the customer though. Worst service ever. After calling to try and sort out the charge I was hung up on twice and kept on hold for more than an hour total.

Cons: The price was risen a lot compraring with the final price we had to pay for the vehicle. As you can see my reservation I requested to dropff the car at 5:30 am and we asked and confirm at the pick up point if someone would be at the dropoff location and we were told "yes, is an airport therefore people is 24 hours there" sadly no one was there and we had a flight to catch so we barely made it and we had to drop it roughly .

Pros: The return was flawless
Cons: The pick was ok .they missed my confirmation # and mistakenly attempted to charge me full price. When I showed them my confirmation again . They said oh, your right and they where put out a it to have to redo it ,however they did and they tried to still be polite,but you could tell they where ticked off.
Avis Customer Service is worse than No Customer Se
Pros: I did like the fact that a car was available.
Cons: Sales rep told me my rate would be lowered after I returned the vehicle. I had other options at the time, but I took the reps word and keep the Avis rental. They lied.

Pros: The car was comfortable and gave excellent mileage.
Cons: The Avis website needs updating or modifications. The reservation information indicated NOTHING about the address NOT being in the Airport. I requested Fresno airport and got my res. When I when to the counter the man indicated I have reserved the car at an off airport site and that the amount indicated was much higher at FAT (Fresno Air Terminal). I had a good rate since the res. was made long ago.
The man did try to assist and offered a better price but STILL NOT what my res. indicated.

Cons: I got there and they wanted to charge me for the full amount plus deposit on my credit card and I didn't have room and they would not except my debit card without returning flight ticket stubs!
I walked away and rented from AVIS and they were wonderful!!
Will never try National Again!
