We didn't like anythingThe lady inside was very rude to my husband. She was trying to over charge him by hundreds of dollars. The vehicle we reversed was sold out they didn't really have any good options for us to choose from. We seen an suv but another lady came to outside where we were trying to find a car. She said that's a different class you have to pay more. We settled for a mini van it was horrible. Ended up exchange it in another state. Got another mini van that was way worse. My 7hr trip turned into 12hr since I couldn't go more than 65mph otherwise van would shake horrible and thought something bad would happen. Worse rental experience in my life! Would not recommend to any friends or family. Nothing was said to us for what happened

I was pawned off on another companies staff because Alamos desk was empty. That was the first sign of poor service. They had no interest in satisfying me whatsoever. They site to substitute a tiny Toyota Corolla for my requested midsize car. When I rejected that I was forced to upgrade and they wouldn’t even cover my upgrade cost. I got stuck with a large daily charge.Have someone at your desk who knows it’s important to satisfy the customer. I’ll never rent from Alamo again because of this experience.

Able to pick from several mid-sized cars. Professional, quick and easy to get on the road. Our rental was for Tuscon, AZ. For improved experience with the car I would have provided a quick tutorial on the Apple play. Then I would explain the drop off procedure. Over all its a good airport for rentals.

Staff was helpful even though they were busy. The car was nice and clean and they helped me notice dings so I didn’t get changed.The rental car situation is bananas right now. I wish I could have gotten an affordable car by the airport where I needed it but I had to take a Lyft way out to the edge of town to find a car that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and I was lucky that I found one at all.

The rental agency entered the wrong time for return, am vs pm... Also did not have available the car class booked, a Toyota Corolla vs the requested VW Jetta, a standard rental vs a compact rental, still charged as a standard rental did not even mention they didn't have the proper car. Just a disappointing rental in general, even if the car was nice, it was not what was booked.

The car was pretty dirty on the inside. The dash and center console had lots of dust and dirt on it, especially for a car that is supposed to be sanitized due to COVID. The car had a really musty smell to it. The side mirrors looked like somebody spit on them and the instrument cluster looked like it was mopped with a wet rag and not dried. Didn't give me much confidence in the "clean guarantee".

convenient pickup and drop-off1. The change engine light was on, preventing me from seeing the digital speedometer. 2. The windshield wiper blades rubber had fallen off. Could not remove water from windshield. 3. Car was not clean at pickup. 4. The vehicle I had reserved was not available. I am disappointed in Dollar.

I reserved the car at 1 am. When I showed up they said they do not honor same day reservations and that they do not rent ofr extended periods. I left without a rental car.

After flying into Tucson I went to the counter at the rental agency in the airport. I gave the representative my ID and credit card and told her I was here to pick up my reserved rental to travel two hours to the next airport for a flight. She typed on her computer, then without saying anything left and went through a door with my items. When she returned she told me she was sorry but could not honor my reservation. I was baffled and showed her where it was confined from the precious day. She said her manager put out a policy that any reservation within 48hrs will not be honored, and there were no rentals at this time. Immediately I asked to speak with this manager. After explaining how I reserved and later called to confirm my reservation he held firm stating there were no rentals to give me. To say I was irate would be an understatement. After several mins of explaining this is not how a business should operate he said he would try to find me something. 5 mins later he returned with not the SUV I reserved but a 15 passenger van. I didn’t care and gladly took the rental offered to reach my destination. I’m glad he “found” something for me to drive, but the practice of not honoring rentals within 48hrs is nowhere on the reservation sites and should not be practiced. Especially not without contacting whoever made the reservation.

Long line, waited 45 min to get rental. Then I get to vehicle and it has a flat tire. The booth can't help me, so I had to walk back to terminal/desk and wait to get another car. Drop off was not good either...no attendant was at drop off location, no person at walk up booth window?? finally 10 mins later guy came walking up and took my keys..??

Very small off-airport location (2707 Valencia, Tucson, AZ off airport 2 miles) , only 2 workers and about 14 people waiting LONG times to get rental. Didn't get the car I expected. Car was too small and too low to the ground - hard to park without hitting cement stops. After I returned the car ( and there were tons of people standing (no chairs) in this small location waiting to rent again), they called me and asked whether I was going to return the car! (After I returned it). NOT a good location. Pay more and rent from airport location.

My vehicle had issues and customer service said I would have to drive 2 hours away from my vacation spot to exchange for another when there was literally a location 5 minutes away from me.

While Hertz did not have the vehicle I had hope to rent they gave me a free upgrade on an SUV. The SUV rode very nice, was comfortable and added to the overall enjoyment of the rental vehicle. I would go back again.

The whole experience started out very rough. The 3 guys at the counter were very short (not very friendly) and the car the gave me had clearly not been cleaned. It smelled of smoke so badly it literally was making my sinuses burn and there was something spilled in the back seat (like a milkshake or something)...pretty disgusting. I called about an hour after I picked it up and the guy (Joey) said they were out of cars but to call him in the morning. I called him first thing in the morning and he said they still didn't have any cars BUT about an hour later he called me back and gave me an amazing upgrade at no charge for the trouble. The new car was CLEAN, fun to drive and very comfortable! (Dodge Charger). It was a bad start but they made it right :)

Rented a cargo transit van for an interstate move. Went by the lot a couple of days before to confirm dimensions etc and was shown a van often rented to local delivery services. I was assured my vehicle would be clean and in better shape. It was! Although the Nissan was a large vehicle, it handled the road well and I could keep speed up on the highway without effort. It even got a little better gas mileage than I'd anticipated. There was a minor mechanical issue with an interior light. I couldn't have been more pleased with the staff. The fellow who showed me the sample van a few days before remembered me when I returned for the rental. His colleague checked me back in a few days later and was just as pleasant. It was a grueling move but Hertz certainly made the experience better.

When I arrived, there was no one at the center and it was locked. When the clown behind the counter finally came back he said the car was gone because I was not there exactly on the hour I put in the reservation. Then another clown showed up and contradicted that showing these 2 are liars. They said there are no cars in town and would not help me, redirect me, find me a solution or provide me any assistance. I asked them to cancel the reservation then and they said I would have to call the main Hertz number that they can't do it. I asked for a manager name and contact, they said they don't have one and that the way they are acting is how they are trained. I've traveled for over 30 years and this was absolutely appalling. I truly hope this company goes bankrupt and disappears from the market. This is not bad...this is horrible. Stay away!!

Car was dirty, had crumbs and debris inside the cup holders, door handles, center consoles. Back row seating was broken and would not collapse or fold down or up; front tire had a slow leak that required constant re-inflation; gas tank was not full when picked up. Joey was a great associate but the vehicle should be retired from the fleet and they should be more prepared for pick up.

They had a clean certification sticker on the door of the car, but there were 2 used Gaterade bottles under the front seat of the car that rolled around during our trip. The front windshield was streaky and hard to see through at night with headlights shining in my eyes. I had to re-clean the windshield and throw away the trash from the previous renter. Also, the dash driver panel was dusty. Not so sure about the "Clean certification". Rental was extremely expensive compared to my previous rentals with this company. I guess that is a sign of the times.

Filled up with gas prior to dropping off, tank full on drop off. However, was told I had to pay an extra $15.99 gas fee because I didn’t save my gas receipt. Very deceiving practice - tank clearly full.

Staff let me look at the car first before signing for it to ensure it was what I needed/wanted. Car turned out to be exactly what I needed for my family's vacation.Key FOB had issues; frequently go notice that remote was not detected, did not allow keyless entry and sometimes the keyless locking didn't work, had to be very close for the FOB lock/unlock to work (replacing battery had no effect).

The car was a wreck. I didn’t know Avis would rent such a car. The gas guage indicated full but when I filled it up before I returned it the guage showed way past where it was when I accepted it.

Easy drop offThe staff arrived late to open and had to set up before helping customers. Should be there early to set up before opening. Ordered full sz suv but got small kia that did not fit the 7 paasengers and 4 luggage that was expected.

NothingI had to worst experience with this transaction. I entered the dates for my rental incorrectly. I needed Thursday to Sunday. I made a mistake and entered Friday to Sunday. I realized it right away and tried to contact you. Of course there was no way to contact you. Since you book through PriceLine I finally got in touch with them. They were NO help at all. I simply wanted to add one more day to my rental. I wanted to PAY MORE MONEY to add one more day and they would not help me at all. Their only optioins were to cancel and pay a cancellation fee of $49 or keep the rental, create a new booking for the one day, pick up that car, bring that car back the next day and pick up the other car. Absolutely ridiculous! I ended up just cancelling. And I will never use your service again. I'd rather pay more than go through this again.

The price was good for a day rental split between the seven of us using the mini-van for the day.I've rented many cars before and the staff person was pretty blase and didn't explain pretty normal things to explain well. For example, as he handed me the receipt he just, here's your total, with the deposit.". Now, I know how a deposit for a rental works, but let's say you didn't, let's say it's your first time. What I've heard other associates say in the past is, "You'll notice a deposit of $200. You'll see this on your credit card balance, but once you return the car, this amount will go back on your credit card with 1-3 business days, so no worries, we aren't charing you $200! This line here is your total." It's little details like that. Another example: He offered us the option of two different models of mini-vans. Not being familiar with mini-vans I asked for his opinion/suggestion. He said, "I'll put you the Chrysler,". I said, "Oh, any particular reason?" He just kinda looked at me and said, "Well, it's a mini-van, like you wanted, right?" Um...I was hoping to hear, "Oh, I like the Chrysler better because it has more leg room," or "they're both comparable vehicles, so I think you'll like either," SOMETHING! He totally didn't have customer service 101 down. It did seem he was there by himself, in which case he could say, "I'm sorry I'm going through this so quickly with you, I'm here alone today, and I have all these people to help, so I'm just trying to help you as efficiently as possible,". He just didn't seem like he understood customer serivce. Also, I notice that almost all rental car places don't disclose important info to check BEFORE you rent: Cost of adding a driver (even though when I called I said I wanted to do that and they said, "yes we can do that) but price was never mentioned, can you leave your own vehicle there or not (not all rental cars will allow that!), etc. This is a general complaint to the enitre industry.

I didn't like anything about my experience. For one I was never able to pick up the car Becuz I do not have a credit card TWO the payment was taken out of my account regardless that I was never able to pick up a car. I would really REALLYA LIKE the payment reversed from my account IMMEDIATELY. The money should have never been taken from my account in the first place. So I need to reversed immediately. Thank you.It could have been better if I was allowed to pick up the car since the payment was already taken.
