Cozumel hotels near La Plaza Cozumel

Cons: Nothing. It was great.

Cons: Service in the rooms was inconsistent. We paid more for Concierge level. It was supposed to come with nightly petit fours, but we only received them on a few of the nights. The coffee maker in the room wasn't working the first morning. We managed to fix it, but then they didn't consistently restock the coffee everyday. So I ended up dressing and walking down to the lobby every morning to get coffee. I didn't like that children were allowed at the swim-up bar. Bars should really be adult-only. Also, we used Resort Credits for diving. They tell you to check in and then go to the desk about using your credits, but if you don't book the diving ahead of time, it gets all booked up

Cons: The vacation planners made every effort to nickel and dime you and to see time shares. The hotel was very noisy.

Cons: Bed was very hard. Woke up feeling sore and stiff.

Cons: Where was some street noise but, almost went away by 9 pm. No chair or comfortable place to sit in the room.

Cons: Be nice if they could offer snacks at happy hour time for a charge.

Cons: The beach view is ruined by the cruise ship parked to left of the hotel. But can be tolerable.

Cons: I wish, down the line, they have room services. But this is just a minor...minor issue, which does not STOP us to return.

Cons: Room was very sparse in terms of decor, and smelt a little mouldy. This was a partner for the GFNY bike race, so provided a free breakfast to the riders staying there. The breakfast was awful! Minimal selection, no "hot" items, and the coffee carafe seemed to be perpetually empty. I realize they had a lot of mouths to feed, but as this acted as the main fuel source for most riders, the lack of protein options was discouraging.

Cons: No direct access to the ocean.

Cons: A little noisy.

Cons: I couldn't stay longer!

Cons: The bed could be a little more comfy. We had problem with the toilet not flushing, but thank god it was a day before our vacation ended. :)

Cons: The hotel is next to a bar or music venue, so we heard a really loud cover band for a few hours that night.

Cons: This was the second time my boyfriend and I stayed here because of its close location to the ferry and our dive shop. However, our toilet base was cracked and it kept moving and as a result the entire bathroom began to smell awful. The cleaning people must have noticed it as well because we were called by the front desk and they told us they would relocate us to another room if we would have liked. We were leaving the next morning (about 6h after the call was made) so we decided against the hassle of moving all of our stuff. So although the toilet caused some inconveniences, the hotel staff was willing to relocate us which I thought was great customer service.

Cons: The food could be better, it’s not bad, just not a lot of variety. Could use a little more introduction to the property of how it all works and where everything was located.

Cons: The pool temperature is very cold. Not any fun to swim in unless the sun is burning hot. What is even worse is the HOT TUBES are COLD!!! This is the one thing that needs to be corrected. Or fill them in with rocks so there is no expectation of using a hot tub. Not a criticism - if you travel to Cozumel bring $100-$200 in small bills $1,2,5. This way you can easily tip folks and you know what you are paying,

Cons: A struggle to reserve a beach chair- people wake up really early to mark chairs with belongings and there are not enough chairs for everyone.

Cons: Food was same every meal. not much choice. I got sick of it and I had to go out to eat in downtown. They charge for room safety box every day.

Cons: Pool bars could have stayed open later. They close by 6 pm. Caribbean restaurant was not good.

Cons: It's not a short walk to the centre of town with all the shops and passenger ferry (about 30 min). Taxis aren't terrible and they are everywhere. Traffic is a little loud if ur close to the street. Beach is a rocky one! But there are docks u can swim off
