We stayed at 10 Hill Place on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed! The hotel is clean and comfortable and all the staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent - central but very quiet, being located down a side street. We walked or took the tram/bus everywhere during our visit. It's in walking distance to Holyrood and Arthur's Seat, the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street...and you've got the Surgeons Hall Museums right on your doorstep! We enjoyed a lovely short break here and would definitely stay again.

We were happy to have a very nice twin room for my teen son and I while visiting Edinburgh. Great tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus shortbread.
We hate glass doors on bathroom/toilet. It makes the room feel like you have no privacy, and the opaque glass door means any late night, mid-night, and early morning use wakes the other occupant of the room as the light shines out.

I had stayed in the skyline junior suite which has a nice view. It was spacious and reasonably clean. The staff are friendly and the location is very good.

Wonderful location 5 minutes from the Royal Mile. Beautiful clean and sparkling room. Fantastic value for money. We stayed overnight before going off on a coach trip round the highlands but it would be great to use as a base for visiting Edinburgh for a few days.
