Pros: It was filthy and there were cockroaches freely in the room. I only booked it to put luggage and get ready for a midnight flight out of South America so I didn't sleep there. The other guests I met there at the smoking balcony were friendly and happy with the price (17$), but they were South American... For me it served the purpose.
Cons: It serves its purpose for low budget travelers, and the neighborhood is central. they should spray and defumigate against insects.

Pros: Bed was quite comfortable, staff was friendly.
Cons: Hallways too dark, room too bright, location not good for nighttime travelers, no stores or restaurants open aside from a chain restaurant if you arrive at a later hour. No outlets to charge a laptop. No outside beverages allowed yet there is no bar within the hostel.

Pros: I am a fan of antique hotels and this did not disappoint. This place has soul and history and fun little surprises. The room was spacious and bright with several seats and tables. Big bright bathroom with good mirrors. I had read reviews complaining that the beds were too hard...the bed was a bit stiff but after a long flight it was perfect for straightening my back and I felt great the next day. Waking up to bird calls in the courtyard might have helped as well. Such an easy walk to museums and tourist sights. I want to stay here again.
Cons: A couple if the lights were out in my room, including the closet. I was only there for a night so didn't complain.

Cons: its an old hotel. uncomfortable bed. two small pillows. room smells urine. breakfast is very limited. bathroom amenities composed of two very small soaps and two shampoos in sachet, tv is a small box.
