Pros (+) The room was clean. The staff tried to be helpful and were very pleasant. The staff attempted to placate us by giving us a $10.00 discount on our room. The location is amazing for proximity to historic downtown.
Cons (-) The lobby was seedy and unwelcoming. The staff were compelled to treat all guests as though they were untrustworthy. Many guests DID appear untrustworthy. The staff booked us into and gave us working keycards to an occupied room in which guests were already asleep for the night. The staff were compelled to accommodate us in a room that had NO keycards for the door and the electronic lock mechanism...

Cons (-) Beware. The hotel says that it takes dogs but what it doesn't tell you until you are there is that you must stay in a smoking room -- even after we contacted the hotel and asked about its pets' policy. We will never book another room at the Days Inn in Mount Pleasant.
