Bed was comfy, friendly staff when I checked in and out. Room service came daily to freshen up the room, supplying fresh towels and bottled water. Location was great for getting to HBF park, says a 10 minute walk but feels like much less! Being a single female in 20s I felt safe walking alone during the day or night. Lots of places to eat in or take away with heaps of street parking as well. IGA, grab & go (like a 7-11 for us Melbournians) on same street. There's a Coles & Woolworths 10 minutes away at the near by shopping strip. PLENTY of uber eats options as well!
Amenities to make Tea/coffee but no cuttlery - I had 1 glass cup, 2 coffee cups, a kettle, sugar, milk, coffee & tea but no spoon to even stir anything I made. Couch was covered in stains. The rooms are quite dilapidated and need urgent repair. Shower head was horrible, it sprayed water everywhere - there's clear signs of water damage because of it. No clock, no tissues, no safe. Only 1 level is the hotel, the following 2 levels are occupied by permanent residence. Reception is only limited hours with staff contactable via mobile phone numbers. Only 1 pillow per bed. Shower gels are either reused or refilled because one appeared somewhat full compared to the other which was only filled halfway.
Could have looked good with a bit of effort
Service as booked wrong day and was granted a change of dates brilliant customer service and the rooms are value for money and modern.
