Pros (+) Despite the massive renovations underway and the looming full closure of the hotel, the staff made every attempt at making our stay special. They were attentive, informative and provided excellent suggestions for sightseeing during our stay. Our room was classic colonial Raffles and very comfortable. It was a wonderful place to come "home" to after a long, hot day of sightseeing and shopping!
Cons (-) Because of the closure of large portions of the hotel, many services were curtailed or reduced such as the restaurant, long bar, pool and spa. While the Fairmont facilities were offered, it isn't convenient. There was also a lot of noise during the day as construction or demolition crews worked away at the renovations.
