The experience was terrible. I reserved online (easily). arrived early, got in line, and scanned the QR code as requested to expedite my checkin. After entering my DL and CC information, I received an alert on phone telling me my reservation was confirmed and the pickup counter was Fast Break. What wa “Fastbreak?” I inquired and was told it’s a location across the parking lot and J could just pick up my car. I left the line and lugged my luggage across a very cracked and potholed parking lot with no walkway to FastBreak where the receptionist was extremely rude and told me I did not have a reservation. I showed her the message I received. She said I needed a number which I did not have. She told me to essentially help myself. I eventually found out I was at the wrong counter and I had no Fastbreak Number. I had no idea what that was but she refused to help me or even tell me what Fastbreak was even when I asked for an explanation. I would not have left my place in line if I had not received the notice in my phone. I went back to the Budget counter (note I had family in tow, with lots of luggage) across the broken parking lot, back to the line I had left, now twice as long (4 times as long as I was midway through the previous line). After over an hour, I finally picked up my car. Overall the pick up facility was in terrible shape. Only the lady who check me out as I drove off the parking lot offered a greeting and smile. There is no customer service elsewhere at the LAX location - everyone there seemed to either hate the customers or their job or both. The random erroneous email telling me to pick up at Fastbreak was a terrible idea for whoever put that in place. Also the bathroom is in terrible shape. The door is extremely damaged and nicked all over. The lady at the Miramar location where I dropped off the car was very sweet despite being terribly busy as a one man show for the location. Overall the electirc car was new, drove well. The outside was dirty (it had just rained, but the interior was clean. The price was great. I noticed during pickup at the airport, 6 shuttles from Alamo/Enterpise passed by before one old dirty bus from Budget came. (Note I had the same price offer from multiple car rental companies when I was booking and purposely picked Budget!) The shuttle driver was nice and appreciative of the tip I gave him. I recall telling myself multiple times during the experience, in the future, as long as I have other options, I would never choose Budget again. It was a very (and unnecessarily) unpleasant experience, especially after a overseas flight. I would also recommend anyone else from picking Budget, at least the LAX location. Hope this helps your team improve your operations.

Great price and quality car. The pickup was a little confusing, as the supplied instructions were to call Apex to arrange transfer to pickup point, but no-one answered the phone, and the system was not working. We just saw the Apex transfer bus at the airport pull up and hopped on randomly. With the Apex depot off site, the car drop-off had to be done before 5pm, which was inconvenient for us, as we had a late night flight. It would have been good to have an extra cost option to be able to leave the car/keys somewhere else for after hours drop-off, but unfortunately this was not an option. But the hire car was good quality, well priced and the staff were great once we found how to get to the depot.

Car was very comfortable, clean , more than enough power, pick up was sooo easy, drop off a little disappointing as there were no persons on the counter and we really wanted to know about the deposit return. In the end we had to drop the key and run for our boarding, but was sorted very easy next day by phone call.

As a 1st time user with Ace left me disappointed 😞 from time of making the booking through to picking up vehicle which had the window screen replaced the day of pickup with tape on the window to be told "keep it there for an hour then you can pull it off" most disconcerting to having to drive away and lucky no rain to have to use the windscreen wipers!!! Also asked for some compensation but didn't get any

They were dreadful. We didn't want a shuttle connection from the airport, but the Kayak info said they were AT Wellington Airport. They were actually in a very small place two and a half kilometres away. They were open only certain hours and when I finally got to speak to a person they denied anyone else had complained and , refused a refund, and blamed the misinformation on the third-party, QEEQ. I would have to approach them for a refund.

I called to find out where the office was and was told it was at the airport terminal. In fact it wasn’t there and we had trouble finding address on the instructions. When we finally got there, there was nothing there – no office, no sign. We kept calling the phone number and it took nearly 2 hours to get our car. The car was filthy. Qverall the whole experience was terrible and I will never use Yesaway again!

Avis tried adding a $500 one-way drop off fee that was not in the original estimate. It took several attempts to get it resolved. Had to talk to several agents and phone calls to help center. Truly a bait and switch on Avis’s part with lots off “we’re not able to take the charge off” and “we can’t override the system” conversations.

Vehicle provided was not the vehicle reserved. We reserved a Ford Transit but what we got was a Kia Carnival which although was “similar” it did not provide the same amount of baggage space. 6 adults with 6 full size bags we were packed in like sardines. Interior was stained, brakes need attention

Great car except for seat belt problem and fact that Hertz forgot to install car seat that we requested in writing and verbally

Cons:

So we had to return to pick-up location for car seat. Then when we removed car seat to adjust straps for our four year old we could not get he seat belt to ratchet and lock properly to secure car seat, so we had to return to pick-up location a second time(!) for a service person to help with their tricks for getting this seatbelt to work! Basically it cost us two full hours before leaving on a busy holiday weekend.

The pickup/dropoff went well, especially the help when we returned the car. Car was very comfortable, clean, drove well, and we had no problems.

Cons:

When we picked up the car, I asked for a map - especially of how to get to the motorway in Sydney. Was told they didn't have any maps. We used our cell gps, but when you go through tunnels service gets dropped (duh) making it a bit stressful about what turn might be next. I was surprised (frustrated) that even a city map was not available in paper form (come on, Hertz!). Next problem was discovered when we got home and I was paying my credit card bills. When my reservation was made, Hertz charged my credit card one day rental costs. But the system never reflected this when renting or returning the car, so I was charged the full amount when dropped off. This is NOT the fault of the return agent, but the Hertz system. I have since sent an email to Hertz and 2 days later still no reply. If this gets resolved, then my rating might go up - but if it takes more work on my part to get resolved, then rating may actually go down. Also, I thought the charge to drop off at a different city was a bit steep - especially since it seemed like more than twice the actual rental cost.

The class of vehicle i booked was not available, yet I was charged the full amount BEFORE being informed that the full size SUV was not available. When I wanted to compare other options and cost, I was told to wait (with a 1 year old baby, after a 14 he flight) and ignored for an hour. Staff was short, rude and not interested in providing information. When I offered to return the nexr day to collect the class of vehicle I booked, that was also declined. I eventually got a smaller car, that forced me to change my family holiday plans, required the use of a second vehicle for 5 days.

Cons:

I should've received the car I booked, or provided with alternatives. I use Thrifty aften (4 times a year, for about 3 months in total) but will reconsider my options in future

Nothing !!! They could not provide the car that I booked and paid for in advance. They stated that a Mercedez and a Toyota are the same categorie ( which they are NOT) So they cancelled my 2 reservations and I had to find a different alternative. Very in professional I travel to many countries and I will NEVER use them again. Now I have to get my money refunded let see how that goes.

Cons:

Instructions on which terminal is best for returning cars would have been helpful. We had to take the bus 4km because we dropped off the car at the domestic, instead of the international terminal.

absolutely terrible. I don't know whether they have actual humans working for them tbh because you can spend over 30 minutes on the phone, trying all 3 phone numbers they provide you with with your reservation , and no one will answer the phone. Instead, you will get sent insane when the same 4 options come back for you to choose from when you select any option and no one answers the phone. Try emailing? You will receive an automated response in German! Don't bother wasting your time and being driven to brink of utter frustration and go with another company

Great car, abit pricey to add on another day but other than that it was awesome, from customer service through to phone contact changing drop off location an hour before drop off with no extra charge. Our rental was meant to go back Saturday 3pm but I wasn't able to take it back at that time, so I asked if I could take it back today and they said yes if I drop it off before 11am they won't charge me. I would highly recommend SIXT car rentals to everyone 👍👍👍👍

The price was reasonable. I don't believe that people travelling long distances should be given an EV, 9hr trip turned into 20hr trip, Cars do not hold charge long enough, from Sydney to Melbourne had to re-charge car 9 times and takes 1 hour to charge

While this company claims to be at the Sydney International Airport, they are not actually at the airport, they're off site & have no rental desk, representative or courtesy phone at airport. While booking, this company's location is represented as "Sydney International Airport" with an address following it. It turns out if you search the address, that address is not at Sydney International Airport, despite claiming that it is. Instead, when you arrive and are told by all the other car rental places that they are off site and you have to call them, you have to use your own phone (an international call if you not from AUS) to request a shuttle be dispatched. After calling for a shuttle, the company sent ours to the wrong terminal even though we had provided our flight info when we booked the car rental. After waiting nearly 40 mins with an exhausted two year old & having to make a second international phone call to ask what was going on, the company blamed us for their mistake & insisted that we gave them the wrong terminal information (in reality they never asked what terminal we were at and assumed we were at the international terminal). They then insisted that I was supposed to call 24 hours ahead of time to schedule the shuttle (the instructions provided by them, in contrast, state nothing of the sort, only "For detailed pick-up instructions, please call [...] at least 24 hours before your pick-up time. Please go to: Priority Pickup Area / Rideshare Area. A shuttle will take you to the rental counter."). They disliked that I refused to accept responsibility for their mistake, that I pointed out that their instructions said nothing about being required to book a shuttle in advance while quoting what it actually said, and that in the process of disputing their accusations and complaining about the disaster that is their pickup process I swore on the phone. Their response was to threaten to not give us the car we had pre-paid for. The shuttle driver was appalled by how we had been treated and told us to ask to speak to a manager and report the behavior. At the off site location, the company representative insisted that he was the manager of the company and there was no one else in the company I could speak to in order to file a complaint and then claimed that I had broken a law, so he was within his right to not rent me the car I had already paid for. When I pressed them about what law I had broken, he then claimed it was actually an internal company policy that, as best he could describe to me, no one could ever actually know about or have been able to read ahead of time (& he couldn't produce it for me either). Finally another employee attempted to smooth things over by suggesting that it was a misunderstanding caused by poor communication by the third party booking service used (also not my problem and a reflection of their arrangement with these companies), and they finally gave us the car we had reserved and paid for. This was by far the least professional rental car company I've ever used and can not believe they treat their customers this way.

We paid for an SUV, and when we got to pick-up there were none left. We were given a golden Astra saloon car, which is not what I wanted and not what I paid for. The service assistant told me that as we had already paid, there was nothing he can do - which is unreasonable. customer service person was in training so it took a lot longer, would have been better for a senior person to work with him to get it done faster. Manager was a bit blunt and rude, as a one-way fee was added at the counter and not when we made the reservation, which is why we chose dollar instead of another company. we probably would've went with another company closer if they would've just been up front with the fees. The manger just said "well you can take it or not take the car". a bit rude.

At the Sydney drop off they tried to charge me for previous damage. They wouldn't resolve it, so I cancelled the second rental in Cairns with them. I took video when I picked up and dropped off the car , and I told them I had the video. So far they haven't tried billing me for the damage. I recommend you us a more reputable company.

Very slow pickup - took over half an hour to complete paperwork although there was no queue. For us, it was a big comparison with Launceston (Tasmania) Europcar where we had rented the week before and where pickup was almost instantaneous (to be fair, Launceston is a much smaller airport). Price increased more than expected over original booking - 30% (of total car price) extra charge was applied for picking up at Sydney airport.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

I booked through Rentalcars.com for pickup at Bargain Car Rental in Hobart and drop off in Devonport. When I arrived at the Bargain Car Rental counter I was told the company no longer operates in Devonport, and so they would not rent me a car and I would have to contact RentalCars.com for a refund. The issue was, this was only a few days before Christmas and other companies were out of cars. I finally secured a little economy car for four times the price of the SUV I had booked through RentalCars.com. Bargain Car Rental refused to assist and I’m still pursuing reimbursement for the additional cost from RentalCars.com. Grrrr.

More friendly service when we dropped off the car. One of the staff was unfriendly to customers when we entered the place. The bus driver dropped us off at the wrong airport terminal. When he dropped us off we thought we were at the international terminal, but we did not realize we were dropped off at the domestic airport. He did not tell us. I really think Alpha Car Rental staff need to be more helpful and friendly to foreign customers who are not familiar to Brisbane.

The car pricing and quality were good, making value for money very good. The downside was the pick-up, and getting the car was somewhat chaotic. For whatever reason, only one staff member was present, and they had to juggle multiple roles at once. This meant the process of getting the car was slow. The car was clean inside but was dusty from the last rental. That is OK with me, apart from the T&Cs implying it has to come back clean: there is a $75.00 cleaning fee otherwise. The drop-off experience, on the other hand, was excellent. It was fast, and being chauffeured to the airport was relaxing and a great way to finish the trip.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
