They did not have my reservation and blamed Kayak. They tried to upsell me another car for $100 more and force me to pay insurance even though I have local insurance, international insurance, and insurance via my credit card.Reviewed 21 May 2024

I went to the car rental office on Saturday morning to pick up the car, but they were closed. After waiting outside for an hour, they called to apologize for not informing me earlier and directed me to another branch 40 minutes away. When I arrived, I waited another 50 minutes, and when it was finally my turn, the agent told me he wasn't aware of my booking and that I would need to wait another hour for a car with the specifications I had reserved. Frustrated, I left and canceled my weekend plans. Disgusting customer service and horrible experience with Thrifty to say the least..Reviewed 20 May 2024

When I placed the order for this car on CarRentals.com, I was charged $40.95 which was described as: "the total cost of this reservation". When I went to pick up the car at Hertz, I was told that the vehicle license fee and taxes were not included - and was charged an additional $6.74.
