Pros:My expectations from the Kayak reviews were met. Location is convenient for a 5 minute drive to the Colonial Williamsburg market square area. Our room was in the 'villa' area so noise from other residents was almost nonexistent.
Cons:We were located near the 4 lane local road. This was not an issue at all except there was noticable truck noise starting around 630 am, this could have been from garbage trucks.
Pros:Upgraded to a suite, most comfortable bed and pillows I have EVER slept on. Close to colonial Williamsburg and local restaurants.
Cons:They didn't provide breakfast.

Cons:The hotel is not advertised correctly. Pretty much everything I thought I was getting I didn't. When we checked in the WiFi didn't work, the shower curtain was stuck and didn't close, the phone was dead and had no dial tone, and the furniture was broken. When we called up to let them know about the WiFi it took them 20 minutes to tell us that they already knew! A little heads up would've been nice. We got a full refund but I never plan on coming back to this hotel. I've worked in hotels most of my life and this is the worst I've ever seen that is not a motel on the side of the highway. Also don't be filled by the name it's nothing close to a resort
Pros:Only thing I liked was the facade and concierge (Darius)
Cons:I didn't like the permanent pooh smell, the jerry curl tumbleweed, the coffee maker but no coffee, the candy wrappers and toiletries in our room left by previous guests, the half-hour long check-in process, the stains all over the furniture, there being no breakfast...but that's just me.
Pros:Maintenance staff was friendly. Only other good thing was location to attractions.
Cons:We were put up in the "newly renovated" cottages. None of the staff were familiar with the old fashioned keys we had to uses. We were told they were renovated but the whole room smelled musty, the bathroom was so dirty I bathed in flip flops. Within an hour of arriving I realized there were no trash cans in our room. Took them over a half hour to "try to find us one." Our toilet ran constantly the first night and sink wouldn't drain. Maintenance was nice and fixed it, Had to request new towels - planned to use 2 days to save the resort water but they never dried. No clothes hangers. Our door to our room that lead outside only shut if locked and you could see light shine through. Had a variety of ants, spiders, and bugs. Last morning there my husband found a baby snake in our bathroom. Sign on back of the door said it was the princess Ann motel. Googled it and was from the 40's. Clearly the resort has put little effort into updating them. It feels like a run down motel and was far away from the "resort". We drove through back alleys by dumpsters to get to it. Mattress was new but hard as a rock.
Pros:Location was good. Close to city center and attractions.
Cons:Staff. Not a nice greeting or welcome. We were told check in was 4pm at 11am and asked to come back later or leave our phone number and they would call us. We were in town for our anniversary and had to change all our plans because we didnt have a place to shower and change. Also they never contacted and when i called at 4pm i was put on hold for 15 minutes just so the desk could "see if the room was ready". I hung up and we drove to check in. No apology or reason was given for not contacting us. Then there was an awkward approach in the lobby from a guy that didnt even look associated with the hotel to buy a timeshare or package for 175 dollars when we hadnt even seen the room or put our belongings in the room. The room was awkward and very small for a "king villa". Didnt look anything like it did online. I do Diplomatic Security and I can tell you that security at this place is non existent. My wife and I returned at 11pm from being out and the side door where we parked was propped open with a rock. In the future, I would not use any of Westin's "resorts" or have any member of my staff or suggest stays by visiting country diplomats. Very disappointed.
