The staff were friendly and accommodating and provided good information when needed. The location is great, and if you stay you get to go to the observation deck for free which was great! Great views were seen; I love Bangkok and its' night lights so that was definitely a highlight for me.
The place was very very busy so it was slightly hard to relax, and the room was slightly dated. It was difficult to access with public transport, so I shall keep that in mind next time.
TV channels were unreachable - I could see only one channel showing Thai soaps. Someone had mixed up the programming badly and I couldn’t fix it. But, didn’t really need tv anyway
In the heart of all the markets to get the stuff you wanted to and even the stuff you didn’t want. Close walk to all the high end stores. The hotel itself has much to explore. Views are out of this world.
It is a bit dated for an iconic landmark. Limited breakfast compared to other places. The surrounding area is safe although more old Bangkok Work Charm. Prepare to walk a lot because the taxis and tuk tuks that hang about will fleece you. Sky train is close but difficult to pinpoint where to get off or where to get it.
Rooms were like from the 60’s or 70’s needs a revamp they also accidentally charged my card an extra $150 AUD and then told me it may take 2 months to refund would have loved to be given the option to stay in the town side but didn’t even know about it until a friend in Australia asked which side we were staying in... just a big hotel in a big city nothing flash may have been great in its day
Good location, clean room, varied food, price quality.
The swimming pool didn't work, the rooftop observatory should be renovated.
