Book Budget car hires at Larnaca Airport

• What is the fuel policy at Budget in Larnaca Airport?

Budget imposes a fuel-to-fuel policy in their car hires, meaning that you must return your vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up. You'll be obliged to pay for any used fuel not replenished; this is charged at Budget's fuel rates, plus an additional refuelling fee. We recommend filling up the car near the airport on your return date and bringing the receipt. Most petrol stations provide a 24-hour automated service where you can pay cash and credit cards; please note that they are often closed on Sundays.

Country roads have speed restrictions of 80 km/h (50 mph). In towns and villages, the maximum speed limit is 50 km/h (around 31 mph). Typically, the sign warning you that you are approaching a limit is only visible on your side of the road. Very rarely will you encounter the tiny repeater signs you see in the UK after entering a speed-restricted zone. The next sign will likely indicate a further change to the speed limit.

The front desk was really efficient and super polite. He even gave us info about gas stations etc. The pickup was efficient as well. They are the closest to terminal and have a staff member 24/7 at the pickup location as well. Car was in excellent condition. To compare with Hertz next to them: - they don't upsell (Hertz even forced an "upgrade" to a worse car on me because I was 1h late to pick up due to flight delay). I actually requested an upgrade and they only charged 5 euros/day vs try to force me into a more expensive car - they don't nit-pick on scratches etc AND they inspect on the spot (vs surprises after) - Super polite.Reviewed 22 July 2026

All went smoothly picking up car as Budget is just outside airport exit. When I returned the car the Budget representative had a quick walk around the car, checked fuel was full and said all looks good. None of the normal pointing out marks that were already on the car and me having to pull out my photos from pickup to prove damage was already on the car. Good Experience . Will be booking with Budget in future until I have a bad experience.Reviewed 17 Nov 2025

Car had service light on; air conditioning worked but probably was overdue for service, in general the quality of the car was lower than expected.Reviewed 17 Apr 2024
