The folks in the Richmond office were fine. However, due to a delayed flight, I had to change my car pick-up to Roanoke, which I did over the phone with Budget. The agent I spoke to did not indicate that there would be any problem with this, but when I arrived at the Roanoke Budget desk there was a sign saying “we cannot honor same-day reservations”, and they did not have a car for me. The Roanoke Budget agent was unhelpful and unsympathetic, and I was not able to reach a representative over the phone. I eventually had to rent a car from Hertz. Budget should not allow reservations to be made if they cannot be kept. I was extremely dissatisfied with this.Reviewed 29 July 2026

I booked a Hyundai Venue or similar Compact SUV, but was offered a Toyota Camry, which is a Sedan. This is a downgrade for us. The manager would not honor the booking contract and forced us to pay for an upgrade ($180) for a compact SUV (Kia Seltos).Reviewed 28 July 2026

The pickup/drop off process, esp the drop off is very efficient. I didn’t like the car I was given. I’m always given an old car - in terms of mileage and the features in the car. I’d like to understand why.Reviewed 28 July 2026

Only thing I'd like was the car. Everything else was below standard. Bad customer service over the phone and lack of communication for flight that arrive pass closing time. Need ways to check our vehicle after close. Had to cancel original reservation and book a Uber to get us to are destination. Had to rebook reservation the next day for more money the my original reservation. Overall not pleased with experience, customer service.Reviewed 28 July 2026

All was good and quick. Only odd item was the initial fuel level was 1/2 tank, so obligation was only to return with 1/2 tank. Although I went a few gallons over to 3/4 tank. Full tank departures are easier.Reviewed 27 July 2026

Pick up was okay, the car was blocked in but they adjusted it. Drop off was sloppy and disorganized, they don’t pay much attention to anything. Finally I found the person to drop off my car to and they wanted me to park the car, so it took awhile with how they had the cars double-parked but I could do it. The lady immediately bumped the door when she jumped in to check the mileage, even though I checked it out with non damage.
