Easy to find the downtown Cabo office and I preferred it this way, having rented from the airport prior - saved a few days of the car sitting at the resort when we didn't need it. Check it was straightforward. Nice VW Jetta.Cons:

Despite reservation and calling Hertz to confirm availability the night before, she we arrived we were told no cats were available and never actually were in the first place. Wasted a day of our vacation.Alamo

Pros:
Jonathan was helpful and honest. He explained everything clearly and did not pressure upsell me on unneeded insurances. I printed a letter from my RBC Westjet mastercard company that declared that CDW insurance was included. I expected it to be high pressure slaes but the entire process was pleasant and i went back a second time to rent because i knew he'd be good.Cons:
When i returned the car at Cabo airport i filled up right beside the Alamo office. The gas station attendant pumped the gas but when i returned it the Alamo rep (not Jonathan - he's in Cabo San Lucas) claimed it was slightly below full. Fortunately he said he'd not charge me.8.0 Very Good

Even though I prechecked in, it took 20-30 minutes to get car, and I was only customer Rate was quoted in $ with high peso exchange rate, bill was charged in pesos so final cost was somewhat more than I was expecting due to exchange rate quoted.6.8 Okay

It took me almost 1 hr. to get my car even though I had a reservation. We did paperwork for 30-45 minutes and then I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to bring the car to me at their office. Someone could have had the car ready while we did paperwork and the paperwork could have been started in advance. I won't be using National again.2.0 Poor

I thought I rented the car at SJD, but the office turned out to be 25 miles away in Cabo San Lucas. There were no cars available at SJD and when I called the Cabo office, he said he had no car for me. It ended up taking me over six hours to get to La Paz via cab and bus. I would never rent from Budget again.Europcar
