A lovingly renovated Victorian terrace situated on Broad Street Canterbury, just outside the cathedral walls of this historic English city and UNESCO world heritage site. It's uniquely central location puts it within 2 minutes walking distance of the many inviting restaurants, bars, shops and historical attractions that the city has to offer. The house is the perfect place to stay to get the most out of Canterbury, the surrounding towns and the beautiful Kent coastline. The Snug: The snug sitting room overlooks Canterbury Cathedral with a comfy sofa and an armchair. It has a wood burning stove to cosy up next to on cold winter evenings (logs available for a small fee) The perfect place to settle down with a glass of wine to read a book or watch a film or Netflix series on the Smart TV. We also provide books and games. Bedrooms: The house has two large upstairs bedrooms, one with a comfy kingsize bed and the other with twin beds that can be made into a super kingsize if required. All beds have luxurious padded mattress toppers and 200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for a good nights sleep. Guests also get use of bath robes and slippers during their stay. Dining Room: The dining room can cater for 6 around the large table and leads off of the kitchen for easy access when cooking. There is a Sony Hifi System here with CD player and phone connection. It also has direct access through french doors to a lovely patio area with table and chairs for the warmer months. This leads to a 30 foot garden with a lawn. Bathroom: The modern bathroom on the ground floor has a big double headed shower over the bath and is stocked with luxurious Korres bathroom products. Kitchen: The well appointed galley kitchen is towards the rear of the house and is equipped with a Dualit kettle and toaster, Nespresso machine, fridge with freezer box, cooker with gas hobs, a microwave and a dishwasher. You will find some basics in the kitchen to get you started: tea, coffee, butter, sugar, milk, olive oil, fruit and bread. All cutlery, crockery and glassware are provided. There is also a utility cupboard containing a washing machine and tumble dryer. We provide washing detergent and fabric softener. Getting Around As the house is so close to town there is no need for a car but there is a public car park directly opposite if you need it and the roads around the back of the house are free to park on at the weekends. We have a limited number of resident parking vouchers available for convenience - please ask us about them if you are bringing your car. Check in / out Check in to the house is usually on or after 4pm on the day of arrival. Check out is 11am on the day of departure. (Sometimes this can be flexible - please ask if you need to) Help and Advice We are happy to suggest things for you to do in and around Canterbury and make suggestions about the best restaurants and bars in the city. Otherwise we will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay!
