Pros: Design, boutique feel and location
A delicious and substantial breakfast is included - eggs cooked your way, traditional Colombian arepas, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, fresh juice and bread basket. The hotel has two small pools - essential for a cooling dip during the HOT afternoons. We stayed in one of the suites that had 2 bedrooms with king beds and 2 balconies facing the front of the hotel - fun for people watching and hanging out. It did get a little noisy in the evening - there was even an elderly gentlemen who walks the streets around 11pm rolling a booming music box, like a wheeled suitcase, playing popular Colombian music. I found it charming and fun, as it added to the ambiance and party feel of the city, but if you plan to go to bed early, don't request a front room with a balcony.Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful, with luggage, restaurant suggestions, breakfast, taxi to airport, etc. The hotel is very well situated - a block from Plaza Santo Domingo, the Cathedral and other hot spots. The roof top terrace has amazing views!Cons: The only reason I gave the room 8/10 was because the beds were very hard, but that is the style and custom of most beds in Colombia. Just not what we Americans are used to. If you love a VERY firm bed, then this should be no problem for you.
Prime location, clean cozy rooms. Friendly staff. Felt like you were staying at a friends house but with a lot of privacy.Pros: Location, staff, ambience (understated, simple but comfortable and unique)Cons: No
