Pros:
I liked the option with Payless to pick up the car on airport property vs. needing to shuttle to another location. Returning the car was simple and easy, which was appreciated.Cons:
The staff was friendly at pick up, but we had to wait in line in the garage to get the keys for much longer than one would expect. A parking garage is not the safest of places to try to wrangle a toddler who has been stuck on a plane for several hours. When we got to the car, the vehicle wasn’t as clean inside or out as one would reasonably expect either. Despite paying more for a mid-size SUV to comfortably fit our standard sized car seat that easily fits in a similar mid-size SUV, it took quite a bit of effort to get the seat installed due to it being a tight fit and then not the most comfortable ride for the driver who had to scoot the seat closer to the steering wheel than preferred.10.0 Wonderful

Car was dirty inside and out, had 40k miles on it, oil change came on mid trip, outside was all scratched up on all sides, no attendee or exit gate to report scratches, you just exit the airport and then you are on the road, the most we have e we had to pay for such a poorly maintained rental car2.0 Poor

It did not seem staff were prepared for the amount of reservations that had been made. We were the last flight in and one person was running the counter for Budget, Avis and the Payless counter. Staff were not able to login easily which led to like swaps and outdoor waiting for many customers. The staff handled the stress well. Following pick up everything else went smoothly.One location in Catoosa

The staff was helpful, but the Avis's policy on accepting payment is nonsensical and downright idiotic. They would not accept my debit card. I literally use this card EVERYWHERE -- travel, retail, etc. -- both offline and online for much larger and much smaller purchases, and I've never had an issue. Then, Avis says they can't use that to rent the car to me? Are you kidding me? I'm a Preferred Plus member and have rented cars from you many times. You know you can trust me to pay, and you know who I am. (I literally could've walked over to an airline ticket counter, used my debit card to buy a refundable ticket, returned to Avis to rent a car [since that's the only way they said they'd accept my debit], and then returned to the airline ticket counter for a refund. That makes NO sense.) AFTER THAT FIASCO AND ARGUING WITH THE STAFF TO NO AVAIL, I tried to see if they could use my American Express card that's in the system (since I use it regularly for work). They needed a code, but I didn't have the card (it was in my home in another state). I got on the phone with American Express, and they were willing to give a 1-time code (they said they do this regularly with companies when their clients don't have their cards). Unfortunately, Avis didn't accept that offer either. GRRRRRRR. I ended up having to get a local family member to swipe a credit card of theirs. So frustrating!7.6 Good

$250 for an economy car we used for 2 hrs from Tulsa to Joplin seems pretty steep! High price for convenience. The process was very smooth, from online rental to pickup to return.10.0 Wonderful

When I arrived, there was no one in the office at all. I got there about 20 minutes early, so I guess they were at lunch. There was a sign at the desk that said, "Call this number if we are not here." So I called the number and got a "this line is disconnected" message. The employees did arrive (in time for my appointment) and assisted me. She was very nice, but I had to deal with the headache of trying to use my debit card. They apparently don't like taking debit cards, unless you are a member of AAA or an equivalent club. She had to call and get special permission. She also wasn't sure how to process the rental because I paid for the rental in full online a week earlier. I'm not sure how those factors complicates things. I simply paid for the rental beforehand. How is that an issue? All of this caused me to have to sit there for 30 minutes and get bored on my phone as she attempted to make several calls (some of them no answer). One last thing, and this isn't anybody fault at Hertz... but the Nissan Versa is just horrible, especially compared to other Japanese cars.10.0 Wonderful

Pickup was closer to house than airport. Brand new 2017 Toyota Rav4 SUV was very comfortable and spacious. Car came equipted with lane departure warning.Cons:
